Welcome Back Catfoot, , Over the last little while ,I thought something on here, (CS) was missing, it was your point of view on the blogs. Glad to see you re Back.
Hello Dedovix, Interesting blog , Thanks, it gets a person thinking. I think there are plenty of ancient mysteries throughout the world , that modern day man hasn't figured out yet. You have a Good day,
Good Morning Miclee, Loved your blog on foods of Autumm. Here in Canada, our thanksgiving is in another week, and its the wrap up of the fall harvest up here. Family gatherings, roast turkey, pumpkin pie, with all the fixings are the norm. Occasionally some wild game is part of the meal. With the cooler weather that accompanies our Thanksgiving, theres no shortage of comfort foods. Its a special time that I enjoy. You have a Great Day,
Hello Lindsyjones, , I can ensure you the vast majority of men in Canada are not like what you and your daughter experienced. As for deteriorating traits, I think so many people are caught up in new technology, and the me generation, values , and manners ,and people skills are becoming lost in the shuffle. I guess I m old school, I don t believe respect is earned ,I believe it should be given away. Lindsy, if you and your pregnant daughter were on a train, in my part of the country , you both would have been gladly given priority.
Hello Lindsyjones, Im glad to hear someone (England) is doing something about ebola. (flights from Africa). Its a start. Planes travel all over the world, so can ebola. I don't think ebola cares what direction ,or mode of transportation it takes. I do believe some sort of scrutiny should be taken with world travelers.
Hello Lindsyjones, Myself ,I don t believe we re alone, the planet earth is so insignificant in the grand scheme of the universe, it is beyond description. Remember as kids all the science fiction shows that fascinated us with updated technology. A lot of imagination and technology has become reality. Was this past fiction preparing us for present day technology , and possible future reality. How come there is more believers in life on other planets ,than non believers. (more sightings of ufos, discoveries of new solar systems, planets,....) Time will tell, if it hasn't already, Isn t there enough unexplained oddities on the world now.
Hello Ken I agree with you totally about the concern for water. So many people take it for granted. Here where I live there is going to be some repair work to the water lines in the neighborhood , for a day or so. we re going to be without water for our houses for a day or so. Its not the end of the world, but we have afew people not prepared for anything and are having little panics. It makes me wonder what frame of mind would these people be in if we had no water. Whats the old saying ,You don t miss anything ,till its gone, You have a Good day,
Hello Gentlejim, Love the lets go for a drink joke, Grampa Simpson , from the Simpsons wasn't one of those 3 gentleman at the nursing home. You have a good day, Thanks
Good Morning Ken, , Hello Butterfly, I m getting hungry thinking of your supper,Ken. Sure sounds Good. Its given me some ideas Thanks, You have a Great Day
Hello Blain69, A close dear childhood friend once borrowed 20 bucks, never seen him again, I lost 20$, he lost a friend, and I learnt that he wasn't that good of a friend, I figure I won that deal.
Hello Ccincy, Isn t that the truth, ( they won t tell us anyways), For instance, here in Canada, we ve had a recent influx of immigrants over the last few years, I ve seen Russian, and Ukrainian immigrants sitting down chatting, not knowing whats going on in their homelands, and yet the media knows everything, (and yet these immigrants are keeping in touch with their homelands every day,
Hello lindsyjones, I look at all the turmoil, and conflicts around the world, and glance back at history, whats the old saying, history repeats its self,it makes a person wonder,
Hello Socrates, Back again, I haven't received any such offers in my cs mail. But am on a local chatline, and have to give my own email address, ,and with me doing a lot or reading ,and such, boy have I ever received a lot of nonsense. Awhile back, I got a new computer, and got a new email, which I don't give out much, a lot of the nonsense has stopped. Oh yes afew companies in Canada have gotten into trouble selling personal info to companies selling stuff. You heard the old saying , no news is good news. I feel sorry for our elderly who have to put up with this.
Hello FlYJAMES, , you mentioned media, got a good story for you. In the early 80s, my Grandfather , and I were having coffee, watching the news. (keep in mind this was at the end of the cold war era) The news reported earthquakes, and avalanches from the mountains , and they mentioned afew cities, and villages where this happened. ( 100 miles outside Moscow) My elderly grandfather immigrated from Russia, in 1914. He grew up in one of the earlier mentioned villages. There was no mountains. Grandfather also said when he lived in that area in his youth, residents of the area didn't know what an earthquake was, because they were non existant, My elderly grandfather just shook his head, not believing a word.Especially about the mountains. Since then I take a lot , most of the news with a grain of salt. You have a Good day Fly
Morning socrates In the last week I ve won 4 trips,( over the phone), and over the computer, strangers have left me part of their estates, ,(maybe Im luckier than you) And all their ask is personal information, (credit card number), bank account number, ....... I might have been born at night , but not last night. You have a great day there my friend
Good Morning Nam, You made some valid points. I don t think Bin Laden would have wanted to fall into American Hands, and have an uncertain ending , He didn't want his fall from grace to crash and burn, maybe just have a softer landing.
Hello Raincomeshine, , Sunday to me is my lazy day, but as a kid it was special. When I was a kid, stores , bars, government offices weren't open. In its own special way it was a Family day.I remember the family would go visit my grandparents farm, or my father and I would go fishing. And at the end of the day a big family supper would summon the days end.Wish we could go back to those days.
Hello Nam, You couldn t have said it any better. I happen to have MS, had it now 12 yrs, and have to use a cane, lost a lot of weight, but still getting around, don t know what my future holds. And I used to get down on life, and myself, and wonder why, Afew yrs ago I started doing a lot of volunteer work for the MS society, then I met a lot of young people who were in wheelchairs, and confined to beds, just after being diagnosed with ms. Then I realized how fortunate I am compared to a lot of other people with MS.Since then, I ve always held the thought, theres always some a lot worse of than myself. A life lesson.
Hello Gentlejim, you mentioned earlier, how oil was bought from the middle east, making some countries over there rather wealthy. Well over the last few years things have been changing. That dependency for over seas oil may be dwindling. I sure hope so.
