Cat ,as usual you re right there. But when I play the old age card, I seem to get away with so much more,
White lies ,people tell about themselves usually don t bother me. When people ask for my opinion, and I don t want to ruffle anyones feathers,I play the stupid card, saying I don t know.( the stupid card, can also be the old age card) Thinking about it, when someone asks someone for their opinion is a compliment, (your opinion is valued) A person has to tread lightly, but I ve found honest is the best policy.
In my grade one, We started every day with God Save the Queen, Oh Canada, and the Lords prayer. Manners were common place, a mans word was gospel. We played baseball at recess. People were happier, must have been the good old days
The person you mentioned, I would like t run into, preferably with my car, 
For a few decades, I ve traveled western Canada, and have met a good number of my American neighbors, and have t admit, I can t say a bad word about any of them, and doesn t that just about sum it up. Am Glad we re neighbors.

I blame the media for alot of that. Listen to media from countries that are friends of the US. 
I can t complain about my American neighbors to the south, because I realize I could have much worse for neighbors. The US can t be that bad of a place ,with people from around the world wanting to go there,

Here in Canada, our Thanksgiving, (afew weeks ago) co insided with the end of harvest, (out here on the prairies.) Along with Thankgiving day, there was the falls suppers happening. Made for a nice few weeks before winter, for those who got out and about for Great home cooked meals,and visiting.

I too have gotten off to that bad start with a new neighbor, but over time, when that new neighbor, realized I am a decent, easy going, helpful person things changed, No place to go but up. For myself ,I ve always thought, to have good neighbors, a person has to be a good neighbor. And if someone can t handle that, so be it, its their loss.
The way I see it , is Where would we be without dumb blonde jokes, , What would I tell my neighbors wife, Blonde jokes are needed, they are conversation starters, blog topics.... They serve their purpose,

Last winter,a friend bought me a pr of TMAX SOCKS. A winter sock that is great for colder weather, In past yrs, I worked on survey crews, outdoors, in some rather cold weather, wish I would have had these T max socks then. Travel, hmmm, Afew yrs back I worked road construction, surveying, material testing... for 31 yrs. I didn t travel the world, but travelled extensively in my home province, which is a good sized area. I was always on the go, any hour of the day or night, lots of driving, motels, and restuarants ...... It was nothing unusual to spend 150, 200 , even 250 nights a yr in motels across the province, The shine and excitement wore off yrs ago.
