Welcome to the new age technology. It was predicted back in the 50s ,when the first computer was invented, that as technology progressed ,people would be so busy trying to keep up with the progress that people skills, manners, work ethics would suffer. I miss the old days.
Hello, Jim, Lindsy, and Mic, You mentioned weather, up here in my part of Western Canada, the snow is gone , but march, and early april, We had freezing rain, cold, warm, melting, more snow, .... day to day changes, made it (too icey) treacherous for walking, and driving, Goofy winter, As for Getting Old, I don t know what it is about me having to use a cane (because of my ms), people figure I m deaf . What has a cane got to do with being deaf I just might play the part (deaf), when I don t care to listen to stupidity,
Hello Pinks, $100, hmmm, I would be tempted to pay some bills, buy some groceries,...., figured it out, I d take my elderly neighbor couple out for dinner, and the remainder of the money would go for groceries, That $100 will cheer up 3 people,
Morning Lindsy, I totally agree with what you re saying. A few days ago (here in Canada) we had a student of middle east decent),who was arrested for planning to go overseas to fight with isis, How soon is it going to be before those people are going to say why go overseas, when they can start that fight here,in N. America. Back to the student that was arrested, he was attending university, and one day, out of the blue he woke up , and decided he was going to go join isis. What got into his head to make him want to do this, is this going to become common practise among some people. I know its not proper to judge a whole group of people on the actions of a few, but you can t tell that to those poor people killed in Paris, and Brussels.
Spring is slowly showing up here, As for those people who do nothing but argue about anything, or everything, I don t consider those people that intelligent. Not contributing anything intelligent or new ideas to a conversation. I ve always figured, a smile, and a sense of humor should be a part of every conversation,
Hello GG, and Snookums, Have you noticed those people who love to argue, always have to get the last word in, no matter how stupid, they have to get that last word in, Seems like they re mad at the world. Like I mentioned the other day, I don t argue with those people, because they will overwhelm you with nonsense, and shock you with stupidity, I have better things to do with my time.
Nam , there s lots of pieces of history that are never told, or hidden. I just read of a recent Canadian court case, where the judge Said, When the truth is suppressed , its the same as telling a lie.
Nam, (check it out on the computer) the Russian Navy was there. Abe Lincoln and the Czar of Russia were friends, and fears of England, and France getting involved in the Civil War were rampant. So the czar sent part of his navy over to keep England and France out of the war. (Helping his friend Abe Lincoln. I thought it was a part of history that's never mentioned,
Hello Elegsabiff, You mentioned diet, I try to eat a lot more fish for omega 3, lot more veggies, less meat, lots of vitamin d. I have cut down on my sweets, I have noticed my legs don t ache as much, or swell up as much when eating better. Then again eating better , I think would help out a lot of ailments, I ve spoke to some Europeons, who were diagnosed with ms, first thing docters told them, glutton free diet. I plan on getting more exercise soon, (once the snow is gone) walking,. Ms, arthiritus , lupus, have so many similarities, really makes me wonder. As I mentioned earlier, the Dr Teri Wahls diet, (utube) is something to watch, gets a person thinking. You have a Great Day,
Sands, Back again, take a peek at the Dr Teri wahls diet on Utube, She cured her type 2 primary progressive MS. Quite remarkable, She went from a Zero gravity bed, wheel chair to walking, and running, Quite amazing, makes me wonder how many other illnesses would be helped with proper diet,
Cc, Prior to me coming down with MS, I was in very good shape health wise, very active, exceptionally strong , was able to out work young men half my age. When I was 45 , I went in for a physical and the docter told me I was in great shape for a 30 yr old, he couldn t believe I was 45. No one would have ever thought I d be coming down with ms. A person never knows what life is going to throw at them,
Sands, I m not taking any meds. I used to do a lot , a lot of volunteer work for the ms society. Seen lots of people taking all kinds of meds, never seen no improvements, I think some of those people were quiniy pigs, I have noticed proper diet, ( more omega 3, less meat, less sweets, less salt,.... ) have given me more good days than bad,
GentleJim, Your jokes are one of the first things I look for to start my day, Thanks, BC, You said it about being lonely, it gets a bit to lonely around the house here, I d better start doing something about it, better get out more, Lindsy, We ve been getting little snowfalls ,every morning for the last week, Gives me some exercise cleaning the driveway, Spring is around the corner, Oh yes, take a peek at the Dr Teri Wahl diet, she cured her Type 2 progressive MS , with a new diet, rather interesting.
To those of you that have commented, Thanks for the Kind words, greatly appreciated, Those nice words reminded me ,there are a lot of Good people out there too, Thanks,
Thanks for the kind words Lindsy, Like I said earlier, Ms, has taught me to appreciate life more, but it has also made me a more easier going, kinder fellow. I feel so fortunate, that I m still able to be somewhat active. I ve had to give up working, and a number of activities in my life, but its time to get on with other things, I used to do a lot of volunteer work for the ms society, have seen so many people on different meds, didn t see many good results. I ,myself figure diet has made the biggest , and best difference for me. And then again, I figure proper diet would help out so many people ,with a number of ailments.
Hello Nam, I happen to be a history nut, and you thought I was only a nut, Having 4 uncles in WW2, and being able to sit and chat with soldiers who were there in Europe in WW2, I tend to think there was so much more not told about the war, I even had an elderly gentleman friend who was a 14 yr old motorcycle operator in the German Army at the end of the war. Hearing someones perspective from the other side sure made me wonder about what went on after the war, Those History books you mentioned sure leave out a lot of the truth, which in my mind is as good as lying,
Hello Cat, I know people who use the deny response when they re accused of something. Deny, deny ,deny , they figure if you tell a lie loud enough , and long enough people will believe you. Your theory of ,the further you shift it the better, I ll have to try, Thanks Bud,
