I don t think its that bad if you re not devastated, or traumatized with what s happening in your life. I think as we age , we ve been there, done that , with so much nonsense, or stupidity that not to much shocks us anymore. As for myself, in my drinking days I had too too much nonsense, and stupidity in my life, and nowadays with no excitement in my life , I m caught somewhere between boredom and being emotionally dead,
I have some health issues, and the docters, (speciallists) are telling me of new medicines, and suggesting I take them. I have refused, because I know people ,with similar illnesses , who are trying these new medicines, and not seeing any benefits from them. For myself, proper diet has been most beneficial towards my illness,
Till I hear of some medicine that WILL work, I ll pass, I m tired of hearing this new medicine might work,

I don t know about feeling left behind, , but I do know in my drinking days, I was called a behind a few times,
Here in Canada, Pot will be legalized on Oct 17. , for recreational, and medicinal uses. At present the police forces across the country can t control drunk drivers, and texting behind the wheel. Police forces across the country, believe people texting (while driving) causes more accidents, and kill more people than drunk drivers. In the last 2 yrs ,I ve had 2 accidents with my car, because of people texting, I m to a point , I m getting scared to drive, because of people texting ,(while driving) and now Pot come into the pictures, I need my car, so I can go out drinking and partying, In all actuality, I quit drinking 25 yr ago, but just might start again,
I hope things work out with your cat rescue. (nice of of you for your effort 
) I put my pooch down a yr ago, and have developed such a soft spot in my heart for all animals, I think its wonderful what you re doing.
I was forced into retirement 10 yrs ago due to health issues. Due to the health issues, I was forced to give up some hobbies, (hunting, fishing...) At first retirement was a jolt to the system, but have found keeping busy, doing something, keeps me from getting into trouble of some sort,

Over here in Canada, criminal s are given lighter sentences if they had a hard up bringing, or had alcoholic parents, or ate too much sugar as a kid..... And of course a lot of emphasis is put on reforming them, The care and concern for the criminal is immense 
And in all the commotion victims are forgotten,

I could raise my hand for a lot of the things you mentioned. At first I thought you were referring to me ,when you mentioned mistakes, and my mistakes seem to come in bunches. All kidding aside, now that I m getting older and slowing down a lot, (which) is not so good, it does have a benefit to it, it does give me time to reflect on past mistakes, so I don t make them again.
I spent a lot of time growing up on my grandparents farm, and spent a good deal of time rounding up those escape artists, And after reading your blog, that old saying > the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, sure comes to mind,
Funny you mentioned soup, My winter project is to learn how to make a good pot of soup. I ve been doing some reading, going to chat with a few of the family elders..... My project for the fall. So if you have any good recipes, send them my way.
Guns to settle a fence dispute, I like the fence disputes that are settled over a few beers, or a bar b que, As you can tell ,I m a firm believer in To have Good neighbors, you have to be a Good neighbor.
Hope you gardening class goes well. I ve always figured a person can always learn something new. As for learning, I m forever getting advice from the elders of the family, about gardening, painting, cooking,.... And I get to spend some time with those elders,

Nice Pics, Enjoyed those THANKS. We had sunny skies here in West Central Sask, but as I m writing this Heavy smoke from BC is being blown into the area from Alberta. Reports on the radio are saying the smoke is about as thick as its been this yr,
A few yrs back, a young lady friend, stopped in for a coffee, and mentioned her doctor mentioned she had low iron levels. Me having ms, have high iron levels, I mentioned to her, shell fish, ( lobster, oysters,.... ) as Jim mentioned earlier, were high in iron. She put them into her diet 2,3 times a week, an those levels corrected themselves, She was totally amazed the dietitritionist never mentioned it to her,
Me , having a disability, (ms) and having to use a cane, figure there is still some good people out there. About half the young people will hold open a door, smile and say hello. And the other half are too too busy texting. Nice pics, Enjoyed them Thanks, They brought back some memories. I was in gastown, in the late 70s, (okay I m older than dirt ) It was before noon, and so quiet then. a lot more activity these days,alot more homeless, and needy people.

I ve had one doctor for the last 40 yrs, and am thankful. I m familiar with him and his staff, and he s very familiar with me and my health issues. He admits he s no specialist in certain areas, but has pointed me to the proper doctors.
