Hello PRDreaming, from north of the border. Don t feel alone, we have similar types of people up here. At present in western Canada, due to an economic Boom, the is a labor shortage, lots of well paying job, and yet we have people who want to do nothing but complain about the situation If there is any government assistance , or money being handed out, there always someone lined up for it, .I know afew people ,similar to your friends, I call them lazy. I happen to have ms, have to use a cane, and have my bad days, a lot of them, what I wouldnt do to get back to work, any type of work, from one extreme to another, You have a good one
Hello Catfoot, Good to hear from you. When it comes to these investment people, I sometimes wonder if they pay to get information of others. (whether it be monetary, or services offered to existing clients. My sister and I just went through my deceased mothers affairs, and was spoke at ,by those knowledgeble investment people, when I asked what their fees were for all their advice, and investing, not one of them could tell me . That question sure got a mixed response, but never an answer It sure shut afew of them up. Cat , you have a great day there bud
Hello, moving does rattle ones life. Afew years ago, before I came down with ms, I traveled a lot in my home province, working all over. I found ,if I dwelled on the positive, the travelling went down better. I made a lot of new friends, seen how big my home province was. It was a life lesson, that made me a better person. Good luck to you on your move.
Hello Cat, Back again, moving on does get a person thinking and wondering. I moved back home 6 yrs ago ,to help my mother. My comfortable life was disrupted, alot of changes. But I got to spent time with Mom,, her neighbors became good friends, and I did make a lot of new friends. There is a lot of positives in making changes. It took me awhile, but I did see the positive side of the picture.
Hello Cat, wish you the best on your move, As for parting with pets, that's tough. I inherited Moms little pooch after she passed. This 12 yr old poodle is my shadow. While he gives me an extra purpose in life,he s still looking throughout the neighborhood for Mom. If we were ever separated, the thought of him being alone scares me, but him being such a lovable little fellow, I know he would be taken care of. Good luck to you,
Hello Dedovix I agree fully with you, I have ms, and have had afew family members (recently) pass away with cancer. I could have used a bigger veicle to haul all their meds home. To see all these pills was beyond belief. I don t believe the average person could fathom this till they re witness to it.
Hello Lindsey, from north of the border. I happen to be in one of those countries with free health coverage, Canada. We figure we got free health coverage, but with the higher taxes ,it makes a person wonder. As for health is wealth, is that so true.I happen to have primary progressive MS. Have to use a cane to get around. When my good health left me, so did my working days, activities such as fishing, hunting, volunteering.... also left me. When good health leaves a person,it also takes away so much more. To those of you with good health, enjoy it, treasure it, its the most valuable thing you own.
Hello bungallow55, I m someone who enjoys history, not only reading, and watching documentrys , but actually talking to veterans who were there. About 30 yrs ago I had a chance to sit and chat with Canadian war vets who were on Juno beach. They told afew stories about that day, and left it at that, saying it was something they didn't care to dwell on, like you said , Bloody Hell, And oh yes, I did get the honor , of buying these gentlemen a drink.
Hello Dedovix, I think there are a lot of things on earth we have no explanation for One thing ,that baffles me, is how come there are so many man make creations, (thousands of yrs old), that can only be made out , or noticed ,nowadays from a plane. Who was looking at these creations thousands of yrs ago in a flying craft, With all our technology, and wisdom could someone shed some light on this.
Thanks for sharing Lindsy, your words strike an emotional cord with me.In the last 9 months, I lost my mother, and afew family members to cancer. I was with Mom , when she took her last breath. She give , and sacrificed her all to stand up to cancer, and give her family her time with us. No one should go into a battle with a losing attitude, your words carry a lot of weight with me, thanks
Hello Cat, we ve spoken afew times. Another good topic,as usual, thanks. I m disabled, have ms, cant walk without my cane.Give up hunting, fishing, and working, cant even find no slow girls to chase I give up drinking about 21 yrs ago, but have noticed since ms caused me to start using a cane, I can smell liquer at quite a distance. Beer smells so good. I have given up so many activities, but believe it or not,the ms has made me appreciate smaller things in life. I have noticed so many people in much worse shape than me. I am more appreciative of so many things, I didn't have time for before. I might have taken afew steps back, but I did take a step or two forward.
Hello Lindsy, talking about supremacy, I think back to my youth, when I was abit of an outdoorsman, doing a lot of hunting and fishing. I noticed then, when ever one species of animal got over populated, mother nature stepped in and in her own way would take care of the sitiation. by it be by disease, bad winters the situation corrected itself. Mother nature is one lady no one argues with. I wonder what fate she has set for mankind.
Hello lindsy, Hmmmm battle for supremacy scary thought, sooner or later it will happen, on what scale ,who knows. Those futuristic movies might become reality. Since WW2, the war to end all wars, we ve had countless wars. And with weapons of mass destruction ,how many near misses have we had. With the worlds population growing , a lot of countries should be making better efforts to get along.
Now or Never, Love the Idea. Prior to the computer age kids knew how to have fun, how to communicate, had better work ethics, and social skills. Miss those days.
Too much time, hmmmm I don t want to sound sarcastic, but I happen to have too much time as well. Having ms has given me so much time to not be able to do things I used to do. What I wont do to throw away my cane and go back to work, or go for a walk.I figure if a persons got too much time ,do something with it, once its gone , you never get it back.
Good Morning Cat I m a firm believer in positive thinking. Afew side effects of positive thinking are smiles, handshakes and well wishes. Me , I have ms , have my good days, bad days, but have noticed positive thinking sure makes those bad days go down easier.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Granny I have always thought the elders are the glue that hold families together with their love ,care, and concern. Best Wishes to her
Good Morning, I just received a phone call from one of Elisabeth johnsons relitives, he was giving me 0.9 percent intersest on my credit card . This fellow even give personal information, about myself, and my deceased mother, to verify his authenticity all I had to do was give up banking information. If any one reading this , runs into this fellow, please to it with a vehicle.
I find it so sad ,in the so called modern world this still exists. The new world religion, the god almighty dollar has warped and twisted respect, and deciency. Please don't blame all men for these happening of afew.
I know what your saying, I wasn't the biggest kid in my youth, and was pushed around, thru hard work, determinationand grit, I developed into a rather well built ,powerful fellow. The bulleying stopped, it taught me to be a more caring ,concerned person.Sounds like you. Hope it works out for you.
I thought it was rather admirable what you did. But you heard the old saying , You never stop 2 brothers from fighting , because its you who will be fighting with both of them. Apoligize, And keep your distance, your too good of a person for that nonsense, you don t need a rematch, with both of them.
If the older gentleman was robbed previously, robbers didn't come back to say hello, or shake hands.Crimes usually escalate in severity, not go the other way.
Follow up, I had my home, robbed and cleaned out several yrs back. After looking at the damage, vandalism, and theft, I was somewhat shaken. One could only imagine what would have happened to me if I was home at that time. And I was one of those types of fellows , that doesn't get rattled or scared, Well I was shaken and stirred,
