I know the general point you're making b but you can't rule out sheer bad luck. I had an operation year's ago that had a 90% success rate and it went disastrously wrong for me so some things are indeed out of our control.
Hard to say. What we can say is that he made a mess of it, by not taking it seriously sooner. He said that he felt great and that getting the virus was a 'gift from god' for him. Imagine how the families of the two hundred thousands who died thought about that? Imagine their feelings about him going around without a mask, putting people around him at risk and all because of vanity and lack of concern for others.
