I was just making the point that it's not necessarily all doom and gloom. He manages his issues very well and I wouldn't have known unless he told me.
I would have interpreted his highs and lows as no different from other people's when they were tired, sad, excited, nervous, or whatever.
I think there's a lot of fear surrounding mental illness that is by and large unfounded. I just prefer a less dramatic approach, or perhaps a more evenly balanced approach which shows the full spectrum, rather than just the horror stories.
