Ok, I'll give it another week, then if he can't make it over I'll get on the ferry! Thanks guys, I didn't want to put the question out there when there were tons of people...still feeling a bit weird about the whole thing.
This whole thing is soooo scary, it's been a long time since I felt that zing when I talked to someone, and it feels so strange to be feeling this way about someone I haven't even met...but I look at his pictures everyday 'cause I get a happy feeling in my tummy when I see his face, and re read all our emails... I'm just so afraid that when we meet it'll just go pffffftttt
ok diehards... have a question... I've met a man on another site, we've been emailing, facebooking, talking on the phone, trading links to music, and other stuff we're interested in. We want to meet and I insisted that it be here on my turf for the first meeting, which he readily agreed to.
Now the problem, he's just signed a contract for two months of work and is not sure if he is going to be able to time off, he's only a ferry ride away. Do I wait until he can come here, or say to hell with it and get on the ferry?
awwwww, you can't take all the credit, I mean blame for that... look at the cosmetics industry, the fur industry... industries based on womens "needs". We may not be making the money, but we're spending it in not all the right places
Ok, now you're getting to a big part of the reason I posted this thread, I've felt that way alot of the time. I am pretty new and try to be intelligent, have a bit of fun, and get to know people, but I often feel blanked, was wondering if this stops people from posting in the first place.
I'm not very patient and I don't want to know too much about a person before i know them. I think that it is to easy to say a lot about yourself via computer or phone that could make it feel awkward when you actually come face to face with a person and realize that no matter what you have shared with each other you really don't know that person.
So for me, it's as soon as possible! I want to get to know them face to face so I can get their facial expressions, their body language etc.
