I was good at art in school. Then went on to study it further at a community college. Then was hired as a graphic artist. I was at the job for 15 years but the pace got too much. But I still love art.
I've seen your profile. I would put your best pic up and eliminate the rest. Then sum up what you are looking for, then get goofy. Add some firting in there. What will it hurt? Add something unique and eye catching to draw us in.
You will do fine, just the profile needs so fine tuning.
Last, keep posting on the forums where you will start to be a regular. You will met alot of men and women that way. You can try flirting there and if you think it might be worth it, send mail, but don't send a flower.

It's hard being single after awhile and this will give you experience off this site also. From the sounds of it, you are better off single instead of being treated like you were.
I'm sorry there are those here that are lonely. Today, I was feeling it and then things changed.
So there is always hope. Sometimes, loneliness can be faced by just going to the grocery store and having a chance meeting with people and you talk to strangers and feel a connection.
You just never know what is around the corner.
I have found one thing very helpful. To try to find others just like me that do not have a partner. Then when a holiday comes, you have a friend to celebrate with.
They are a friend, not a partner. I havd Christmas dinner with the lady I walk a dog for and also help out with her dad. We have become friends. because we are both divorced and dumped by our husbands. Be bounce idea's off each other.
For New Year's, I was with a guy friend who did not have a date like me. We were happy we had met each other last year and were pals.
This was a good thread until that guy entered. I won't even give him time of day.
I have the same thoughts as you about being alone. I also was in a marriage where I was so lonely the last few years, then he had an affair. It set me free.
Now I have more friends than him but am dating. He already found a new one. But if the new one leaves him, boy, will he be in for a surprise.
I have made plenty of mistakes, been on dates with jerk's, etc. But I know a good date from a bad one. Last night I was on a first date with a guy who didn't want me to date others. I had met him online. He already knew what I looked like. He told me when he knew I was waiting for him at the mall, that he had been checking me out before he came to me. I was late and it was a combination of being late and wanting to check me out, that he did his little exercise. So he told me to go on my dates with a few others and call him Thursday. Then he went home. He didn't want to do anything with me. I'm glad though I was somewhat upset. I wrote to him today, and said, I don't want to ever see you again. You went to far.
I had rather be by myself than be with him. I'm sure we will find someone eventually.
I agree with others, the key is to find some friends that are single. They can become close to you and you have more in common, and it helps not to feel alone because you are with the.
Another trick, is to have pets. I have my Doberman who sleeps in bed with me and it's so nice to have his body close to mine. Then one cat who comes up to be with us, and one cat who is on the floor.
It's really nice to be greeted at the door by your dog. They just love your company as well as a cat. They really help with stress and give love that we all need. Plus, you can help out a animal by giving it a home.

So rebelluvr, why do you love Asian ladies??? Just tell us why? Maybe you do not live in a area like Northern Virginia where there are plenty. I have a American Asian girlfriend who is dating a Caucasian Man. I believe that is the norm. I do not know if she has ever dated a American Asian man.
She also does not fit many of the demeaning theories put up by the poster about Asian women. She is just a Asian women who is attractive and is a good person. So some of descriptions about Asian women in the poll were stunk.
Maybe that is why some American Asian women do not go for American men if this is associated with them. Garbage.
