The question is, who is more effective in alleviating the poor, the rich? Or the not so rich?
SR
There used to be a school of thought before that with power/money came social responsibility.
The English upper classes would have followed that school of thought.
It wasn't an actual connection with the poor, but at least there was a sense of responsibility.
Nowadays, I think it depends on the individual. There are some altruistic rich, and many who aren't.
Many feel the sense of entitlement, without the responsibility.
Other wise I doubt it.
Good points.
I do know one thing, there will no more need for as many lobbyist. The middleman (lobbyist) has been cut out of the picture.
Perhaps some of the elite in our politics can take some notes from you.
MY GUT is telling me, "What the heck did I eat last night?"
Have a good day... and by the way, my answer/opinion to your blog question is 'NOPE'.. when the rich are on top, they don't connect with those in poverty. They may feel sympathetic, but later, they go buying their million dollar yachts, thousand dollar wallets and handbags..
In fairness, some of them earned their way to the top, but then again, I know there are people who worked just as hard or harder, but just didn't get the breaks that some of the rich people I know did.
Just my not humble opinion.
