What we are looking for, is what is looking..

Life is there to be lived..

Right, so. One can say this, if one knows how to live this life -
meaning, you are actually (fully) satisfied with your / this life and have received the tools / answers etc to know how to and you are content as such?

Here my view (key) on this:

We live to worship.

We are all like a bunch of flowers. And even if you have all of the same sorts - each individual flower's colour and shape and smell will be different.

A flower: here today, gone tomorrow. Who decides how long this flower is going to exist? smell? bloom? grow? wither?

What does a flower do? I mean, you can eat some of the species. Some rather not put your teeth in it. Of some plants you can make fragrance of it. Flowers usually are a pleasant sight - if they manage to get into full blossoms.

Life in itself is more than meets the eye. In fact, I'd say, the unseen world is more than we can fathom.
It is a proven fact that there are multiple dimensions, of which we barely touch our comprehensions in the 3rd. Let alone the other ones (who knows how many other dimensions there are)

There is an unknown (or. for some, a known) source who knows it all: The ruler of the dimensions, we call Him?

Would it not be logical to worship the One, who rules, above all?

If He is all knowing, all true, all loving. Would not He be the one who deserves our worship?
Even if we don't know everything. Because we are only human beings and will never be able to know everything.

Would I not think that He'd be the savest source for me to offer Him my worship?

Where do I put my money? Would I not be careful to whom I give my money? I mean, I wouldn't flush 100$ down the drain?

Worship is the essence of our being. In worship, things start happening, start taking place.
moments move on.

In worship, we
encourage
uplift
build better
exchange help to each other (giving without expecting something in return)

We give
we elevate
acknowledge that this ruler, G'd is a higher entity than ourselves.

So what good will come from it, if we
elevate
praise
worship
a human being, who has the same abilities (gaining limited knowledge)
and outcome (physical death)
as ourselves?

When I worship, it takes the importance of of me, and I elevate that which I worship into a higher place than myself.

Which means I lower myself automatically in front of the other identity.

But, here's the thought: why bow down to another human being, who is, like me, just the same?
Not more, or less?

If the ruler of all, the overseer of the dimensions, does it not make sense that I refuse to put anything or anyone above Him?
- not another human being
- not myself
- not the evil one (in all it's forms and forces like idolatry, witchcraft, money etc)

There is:
participate - consume - being entertained
vs
creating something yourself - anticipate - be inspiring
every one of us can switch from one to the other - that's why people 'search'?

Balance. Maybe we searchers arrive, once we master this?

The whole Universe we live in rests on rules. Still.
If I drop something, it falls to the ground. Unless I fly to the moon. It is good to honour those rules.

"...Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless..."

from 2. Peter 3

If I had to do it again...

I'm in a pondering mood today thinking about decisions I made along the way in life and what would have happened if I chose a different path.
I have a few different model helicopters. They vary in size and power. While I like to fly the smaller ones, the larger ones are more precise and easier to fly. One of my favorites is a middle size, so it's got the good power without sacrificing performance.

I told one of my friends I wanted to buy another helicopter but unsure of what to get next. Holding back, I decided to wait a while. This model has been in production for a number of years and I recently saw a YouTube video where one guy has over 200 flights with all the original parts. Nothing failed or had to be replaced.
I wanted to get one as a backup and missed a sale where the manufacturer dropped the price and they sold out. I was able to get one from a retailer who only had one in stock. Now, I've got a spare... just in case I crash and need a backup. The model is discontinued now, but tech support said they will keep parts for a few years.

My friend, has bought and sold at least 20 in the last 2 years. If he gets a new model and doesn't like it, he lists at the helicopter classified site and it's quickly sold. Right now his favorites are all larger, high performance models that have been in production less than a year. All new stuff.

For now, I'm sticking with what I have as it's 1/3 the cost of the larger models. If I had to do it again, I suppose I could sell what I have and choose something from a different manufacturer.

I bought a new car this year. It's more substantial than the previous car. While I liked the liked the one I traded, the seat was small and and the interior road nose while on the highway was excessive. If I had to do it again, would I have chosen the model I currently have? Probably, knowing what I know now, the model below my selection with front wheel drive (and not all wheel drive) would have been fine and I wouldn't have selected it in a metallic grey. White requires more washing, but in 103 degree weather it would have been cooler sitting in the hot sun.

What else?
Probably the most significant if I had to do it again situation was a love relationship, gone wrong that happened about 14 years ago. We dated casually and although she had her own house, she moved in with me for convenience. After I realized her personality wasn't right for me, I called it off and asked her to move back to her place. She started dating another guy that only lasted a few weeks and wanted me back in her life. Foolishly, I let her in. She was flying around the room on her broomstick one night and I couldn't take any more and I had to call off the relationship a second time.
She came to my door a few times, but I wouldn't unlock the security gate.
If I had to do that again, I shouldn't have allowed her to move in and certainly not tried a second time with her.

More?
There will be more, I'm sure.

The Sound of Silence

There is an unbroken sound playing inside every human being. It rings continuously for 24 hours from birth to death. This sound can be heard sitting in a quiet place. If it is not heard even in a quiet place, then it can be heard with your ears closed.
Some people call it the sound of the Soul. Some consider it a means of meeting the Soul. Some people keep listening to this sound during meditation. People say that listening to this sound, helps the mind to concentrate easily.

I don't know whether anyone has reached near the Soul after hearing this sound? dunno But it is true that this voice is playing continuously inside and listening to it calms the mind.

16th May Buddha's Birthday

"panchsheel" 5 precepts of Buddha

The 5 precepts are commitments to abstain from killing living beings, stealing, s*xual misconduct, lying and intoxication. Within the Buddhist doctrine, they are meant to develop mind and character to make progress on the path to enlightenment.

These 5 precepts are for everyone, anyone can follow it. If one cannot follow it completely then do as much as you can.

Instead of giving importance to God or Soul, Buddha gave importance to human qualities, gave importance to humanity, gave importance to purity of mind.

Buddha told that worship should be of virtues not of any imagination.

Can't Move Just Yet

Rent is expensive. Moving to a new apartment is expensive. Moving to a whole new State across the country is very expensive; we're talking quadruple-digits (if you have found a way to circumvent this, you have my respect). So, I'll stay in Washington State just one more year (which is what I said last time). After that, I plan to move somewhere that isn't turning into California.

Anyone else having to put off plans of moving? Or, if you have moved, are you happy/better off in your new location?
