Well, out with it, CS Bloggers, all....

....Yep, lets hear them.... Those hopeless, ephemeral, doomed, time and breath wasting New Years Resolutions. I've already hinted at mine. Including---much more targeted flirting. Being kinder to the world, including to dozens of strikingly lovely females nightly scratching at my front door. Less impossibly cognitively fathomable, intendedly putatively significant, somnolence immediately generating, ---cryptic scribbling. Above all those containing a trace of waxing narcissistic, on all my greatness and unmatched modesty. Much fewer rank base political meanderings. Ditto for comments on such, especially when sourced by AOC levels of thinking and knowledge base. And a few more, too personal to mention, except in more private venues. All have have had auspicious beginnings over the past few weeks. Except for the HARDest one, VERY hard. Abandoning my wanker ways of life. The flirting and tree house might just help with workable results on this last pledge.

Before You Judge

One beautiful Monday morning, I stepped out in front of my door and noticed a mad man standing right in front of my door step,he bent down, wrote “W”, and asked me what he wrote. At this point, I was already feeling ashamed, getting involved in a lengthy conversation with him. In a hurry to leave, I said “w”, but I was amazed when he replied to my answer, “You only see 'W', because of the angle at which you are looking at it. If you turn upside down, you'll see “M”; from the right side, it is “3”, and from the left side, it is “E”.

The fact that I don’t see things at the perspective that everyone is seeing it doesn’t make me a mad man, he said. Then he left.

I pondered for so long about this though; and more, its application to life. We act, and relate to people, based on the perspective at which we are looking at their situation. Have you taken your time to look at other possible perspectives, views and angles, maybe, a little from their own view before we judge them? I then decided that, before I get angry with, or act against, or judge, anyone that has done something unfavourable to me, I will view it in at least three possible perspectives, mine, theirs and others'.

So, before you judge people,
before you rage your anger on them,
take a little time to view their angle or perspective, and,
if you still cannot see a reasonable reason,
then you may act REASONABLY .
Have a great week

Hey Everyone

I been noticing on fb and even here, it seems like the depression levels are up because of the virus thing. Not being able to live normally don't help.

Here is a little advice from someone who knows depression inside out. Don't focus on when this is going to be over, instead focus on the day you are on. Ask yourself "what can I do today so when the day is over, I am happier than when the day started". We don't know when this will be over and focusing energy on that is just wasteful and will ruin your day even more. Take it one day at a time. Occupy each day with something, try not to look too much on the end date, focus on the day at hand instead.

My best diplomatic skills.....

gleaned from years of great errors. Many of us have been there. Male friendships have been a challenge for some aaltarboys, ya think?!?!----but it does get easier, and on occasion, even possible. And rarely, when things go well in this important regard, wouldn't you know it, the buddy's female partner turns out to be difficult? Some are deep into the bottle---never good for socializing with many of us. More often, usually in hen pecked situations, where exquisite control over hubby's existence is paramount, any one taking the wusse's time from her is a threat. And of course there is jealousy, or worse, little wifey isn't getting it, and she casts her wanton glances at the latest new swinging d*ck, often in sequence. And who can overlook garden variety personality disordered driven behaviors? Do we just end the friendship, or practice deceitful subterfuge for avoidance? Over the years, Bob, David, and now it's Eric. But these days, such problems are even more rare.

Left-handed, Right-handed, Ambidextrous...

I plan to do a poll (this weekend) by the same name to see the response of which hand people favor. I'm guessing of the general public, left-handed are probably less than 10%

For the most part, I'm left-handed. Writing, playing guitar, brushing my teeth, cutting steak too all left-handed. Tennis and baseball... left-handed. Bow and arrow... I could only buy the cheap ambidextrous ones as the expensive models were only stocked right-handed.

Some musical instruments, woodwinds for example are only available right-handed. Many six hole Irish flutes and tin whistles can be played either way, but I learned right-handed.

My mother owned a shop for alterations (repairing garments) and dry cleaning. After school and when I didn't have music practice, I would work in her shop. All the sewing machines where industrial style. The knee control that raised the sewing foot and the drive wheel that went to the motor was on the right side.

She had a oversized ironing board with a large iron that got steam from a 'pressure cooker' with a long hose. It was impossible to use this setup any other way than right-handed. All of her scissors had perfect fit metal handles, so I had no choice but to use them right-handed. It's easy ironing now with a conventional iron... ambidextrous.
Razor knife... left-handed. House painting... left-handed, I have to force myself to paint with my right hand.

Telephone and cellphone, right-handed because rotary phones worked better right-handed.

Calculator and computer mouse... right hand and I consider this an advantage as I can write and 'mouse' at the same time and not have to put the pencil down.

Soda and sandwich... ambidextrous.

Blog Category: Self-Improvement, because the more things I can do with either hand, the less restrictions I have, especially with power tools.

DEATH.

The great mystery, savior, enlightener, solver of seeming dilemmas, contributer to the biosphere, ultimate recycler, and so much more. But for the few who chose her, she is so often really merely a permanent solution to temporary challenges. Glad simeone convinced me of this way back when. Of course, some have regrets. ;-----)) Aa.

DREAMS.....

OK, dozens of posts, fora and blogs on the topic. But getting a little technical, how about recalling them? Variables here. How vivid they might be. How much they relate to our lives, characters included. Wake up time---struggles to recall them---presence of distractions. Multiple and o*gasm ones. Ruses to aid recall. Persistance at such. Dream content---benign or troublesome. Sleep movements---somnambulistic, attacking bed partner. Repeat dreams, or some similar to day dreams. Hypnogogic/hypnopompic phenomena. Attempts to modify our dreams. Uses in talk therapies. Nightmares. Childhood traumatic recall ones. Dream heavy and scarce periods. After drinking/drugging. Dissociative phenomena. Lots more, but this ought to do for now. I had a half year run of almost none. Past few weeks, been bombarded. Ueber vivid, with many familiar characters. And can recall almost all even after breakfast, which is unusual. And now when one appears lost, a little help (alphabet soup, etc.) and it's back. WTF?
