Jan 13, 2013 - Map: Australia. A study has found Australians now own as many guns as they did at the time of the Port Arthur shootings in 1996. More than 1 million guns were destroyed in the aftermath of the massacre, but research shows Australians have restocked over the past 10 years, importing more than 1 million firearms.
Is it total BS?
Yep its total BS. Ask if they're the exact same type of guns, and if we've ever had a mass shooting since... It would seem to me that those who want or need guns legally have no problems (evidenced by the numbers of guns legally imported here), and those with bad intentions cant easily get their hands on their weapon of choice. Its not just the guns though, you cant own a bullet proof vest here either.
Its a checks and balances thing. Child molesters and the suchlike have got away with it via mistrial, because some journo had a story to sell. On the other hand, in North Korea they believe they're doing really well because thats all they're told.
Personally, I think as long as they can reference something... Not just- un named sources have confirmed to us blah blah...
I'm just putting the idea out there, to establish a network of River Boys chapters around the country. For just 10% of the operating profits, I could do some administrative work like running the fan club and selling t shirts.
So why not just call them arseholes? ...Because using amateur psychobabble words make people think they appear more knowledgeable than they actually are, which itself is narcissistic.
If I remember correctly, Narcisses liked staring at his reflection so much he turned to stone... So I'm thinking people who go to the gym and watch themselves working out in the mirror, kind of thing... But these days it just means somebody you dont like.
I could see myself on a deserted island, then one day an inflatable love doll washes up, then me covering it up with branches when a search and rescue helicopter comes along. Just me and the doll on the island, giving it heaps.
I'm greatly relieved, I couldnt find a trace of the word "phrase". Which is fortunate because thats how the second world war started, some arsehole said "phrase".
Maybe we have a more individual-orientated society here, Living together as a couple without being married, its quite common. Usually its a sign people are taking each other seriously and it could lead to marriage but not always. Some people live together as housemates, and are not involved that way at all. My personal opinion, people get married too quickly, about half end in divorce.
