Stabbed In The Back?
You cannot be betrayed by your known enemies. You expect them to stab you in the back and therefore you never turn your back towards them. It is natural behavior for them to undermine you.
It is those whom you trust that betray you; often a good friend.
Julius Caesar must the ultimate example of a betrayal. First his friend Brutus was one of the main conspirators to his assassination. It is said that when Caesar saw his friend amongst the traitors, he covered his head with his cloak and offered no further resistance.
And then his other friend, Marc Anthony, proposed to the senate that the assassins be pardoned. The proposal was accepted; a double betrayal.
Caesars had many enemies and his last words portray that. Et tu, Brute? And you too, Brutus? Better translated as: Even you, Brutus?
You are seldom betrayed when you are strong and firmly in the saddle. It is when you are weak with plenty of enemies, when you can least afford it, that people betray you.
So, by the same definitions, can you be betrayed by your lover? Apparently not; you should expect such behaviour because they say all is fair in love and war.

I experience once stabbed in the back by someome I called best friend for 20years. It doesn't mean I don't know her. But seems jealousy covered her head since my life lifting up then married with foreigner then I leave her behind material wise.
It hurts so much and make me decided for not having even good friend.
