Just how intelligent are we?

It is 5:30 a.m. here and I was just laying down. Obviously, I could not sleep otherwise I would be asleep right now. laugh Anyhow. The kitchen window is open and I can hear the birds chirping outside. I have no idea what those noises all mean, but be sure they mean something to their species.

Just how intelligent is our species? I have heard it said on more than one occasion how our human language limits us. I guess what they mean by that is there is so many things we could convey to each other but it is simply missed with words.

As the birds are doing their sounds, it made me realize, they are surviving as a species. I mean, they seem to be happy...if birds can be happy. They seem to have offspring, provide for their young, and teach them of the ways of the world with flight.

Our species seem to want to abort their young, complain rather than do and solve, neglect our young, neglect others, and put only ourselves first.

I am not aware of too many animals in the world that are actually harming the only environment that they need to leave in. Or, when is the last time you seen a fat cat....and I am actually talking about a fat cat not some rich guy...hoarding all this food that he/she does not need while its neighbor is starving to death?

Now you know why I do not sleep.....or rather, now you know why I should be sleeping. laugh

There are good and bad in every species - we had cows and every one of them had a different character, most were good but there were some who would deliberately harm others. Same with horses, dogs etc. A herd has a "ranking" system and they are ruthless in applying it, there is no mercy for low ranking members of the herd (that incl. access to food and water). I don't think that it is as bad in any decent family tbh.

I know that there are bad and negative people, but I choose not to be bad or tolerate people like that around me. People have a brain and a choice and that is limited with animals.
Thanks KN.wave
As it stands everything a bird needs is free, I wonder the effect it would have on bird song if they introduced money confused bet there'd be a lot more squawking doh mind it would also affect flight as they'd have to carry a bag of some sort to keep the money in laugh rolling on the floor laughing beer
Hi Johnny

There are many stories about starvation in the animal world...the fit will survive...the weak will be dead by starvation or be consumed...

Not a nice picture but you get the point...as far as looking after the young...most animals or wildlife are good providers...perhaps we humans are the only species that display selfishness...

Get some sleep...lol...laugh wine
Hello Z....

Very funny. laugh wave
There you go Z. You do not see too many animals floating out to see on water beds. rolling on the floor laughing Maybe, you might see a seagul on one. dunno laugh
Thank you Cat. At the time I wrote this, I thought it might be thought provoking. dunno

Non,

I feel that technology could be part of the problem. I go into stores today and I am suppose to get .37 cents back in change. The employees cannot figure that out without punching it into their calculators or cash registers. laugh

Thanks for sharing.

Hello L.L.,

I think there are some situation with what I said that fits well; whereas, there are some other situations that may not conform very well to what was mentioned.

Yes, I one day was amazed when I sat on the lawn and watched as the grass grew.. then I watched a snail walk about two feet. It was interesting. Also, I wonder why an ant can pick up rocks and things many times it's own weight and size, and yet uncles can't. Just boggles the mind, doesn't it? confused

Just joking with you. Hey, interesting blog which I'm not quite sure what it's about, but fun just the same.

Have a nice night and a successful fun day. cheers
rolling on the floor laughing Robert,

Good point with then ants and uncles.

Maybe!...hug
E;ephants are very destructive to their native environment. Truly that is one of their main problems (besides poaching). As man encroaches their territory shrinks, but they have devastated it and need to move, but they can't, because man and his 'civilization' blocks their way.
Hello Ken,

Thank you for the information. Yeah, I am starting to get the impression that I did not fully think my blog through before posting it. However, I think there are parts of it that might make pause for thought.

Thanks again.

laugh Viv,

Maybe those birds are a little more wiser than we suspect. If they know the water will be cleaned, maybe they just want fresh water? laugh

Thank you for the comment.
