Blog Commandments
The blogs seem to be dying, bloggers are disappearing, some of my thoughts on whats wrong and how we can revive this place.Just a YouTube link is not a blog
A blog not allowing comments is not a blog it’s a statement
Self-pity and attention seeking is for a friend not a public blog
Posting multiple blogs at once is rude
Assuming you are correct and everyone else is wrong is embarrassing yourself
Putting pictures of your children with names and date of birth is fecking stupid
Use the spell checker if possible
Don’t overuse the emoticons, its childish, grow up and use words
Don’t write more than a paragraph, people won’t read diatribe
Remember that some people do not understand English including English speakers
Blogs should be fun and or informative
Politics and religion should really be on the forums, you will get an appropriate audience there

I just wanted to see if I could make you come (to the bait)with one finger ...
Lol
From French 'm'aider'...'help me!'
I have begun to wash the unwashed, I have begun to feed the minds of those that have been neglected, I have sniffed a lot of furniture polish, I have given birth to a new and exciting CS blogland.
Let all those who sail in her wake be happy and full of mirth.
Gypsy? I believe so!
As for some others... don´t know and cannot say?
Daers has already said his goodbyes.
Hi Blue
It did, however, rate a full-blown baddum TISH
Going now.
No, really.
Thanks for cheering me up
Sorry OP (sneaking out of the side door)
Your words (emoticons) moved me like Ive never been moved before, please dont leave, your beauty and sassiness are so wanted here.
Mayday seems a bit old now, I think the word "Help" is better in today's modern world of fax machines and valveless radios.
Yes you're right.
Rob left to pursue his lady love, not cos he was sick of the blogs.
Yet again, I stand corrected:
You do realize we're violating one of the commandments...
We're having a two-way
Oh! That was an add-on commandment. Not serious.
The blogs have ever been thus but the really nasties have gone. Does that then make blogland boring?
We had a shovel, disturbed the nest a little there-there map it will all come back after crimble no doubts.
The ash-hole who rebooted the site has a lot to answer for, we little bees began buzzing and gave no honey
As for the 2 ways , I m quilty of that, how can I not stop and say hello to some of the ladies on CS,
Oh well , hope things turn around in the New year,
Mic, You tried page 2 and page 3, you should get a virtual prize for trying
Obviously the whole world has been falling to pieces for some time and you seem more concerned in how someone chooses to create their blogs.
1to1, I also hope the regulars return, if not I see a few more of us leaving.
CC, They are observations, if you read the other comments a few people feel the same.
No, My life is not ruined by failed or failing bloggers, I have a great and busy life outside if this place, I used to enjoy coming here and having fun, its not like that anymore.
Mic, The good old days seem to have gone, doubt they will return but hopeful.
Only the creators of this site can make rules for the blogs and forums, but I understand that this place is dying, I feel it myself.
But more "rules" are not going to help, only restrict possible bloggers who think they may be "breaking" them by posting or commenting the way that feels natural to them.
People conversing with each other on a blog can be just as interesting as the blog itself.
Not always, but it can be.
Many bloggers are terribly funny and the interactions entertaining.
As for saying hi and waving on a post, no problem there either. Same for using emoticons to communicate. Can be fun!
As to the length of the blog, no one will read a book, but more than one paragraph is fine. In fact one paragraph seems kind of short (unless its a long paragraph, like your blog).
The main reason I blog rarely is because of the attacks and all to common phenomenon of hardly anyone responding.
Doesn't it seem to you that only a handful (okay two handfuls) of people interact on this site?
Happy weekend to you.
What I wrote are not rules, but more where I think things are going wrong.
I agree that there are the attacks and seeing so many blogs with hardly any views or comments.
Unfortunately, those days seem gone....not just on the blogs but the threads as well. I think the hate stemming and overflowing from political/religious threads has done this place in. Just my theory.
Now I can't wait to log out. In fact...it gets so bad I take mandatory "breaks" from here and now find myself comfortably weaning myself off the site.
I'd like to see political and religious threads/blogs moved to the OP's country of origin.
...but, personally....I think it is too late to remedy.
I know quite a few people that read the blogs but wont comment anymore.
onestyle ....Stupid bloody computer
CC, At least Im showing concern at the loss of good bloggers and the fun we used to have here, Its my opinion and Im entitled to say what I want and how I want, Ive never attacked anyone by name or mentioned anyone by name on this or any of my blogs, those who totally disagree with what I have said or those guilty of ruining the blogs have their opinion too.
@Map why all of a sudden on the defensive side?
Where did I post in my couple comments back to you that you weren't entitled to your opinion or say what and how you want to say it?
Obviously everyone has a right to their opinions. But obviously I had only asked you a direct question and not the others. Not trying to argue.I think we're having a communication problem.
Obviously and Unfortunately as I've had other people tell me that we don't live in a perfect world and there are some things that we obviously have no control over.
When I first joined CS back in 2010 things seemed fun and then I guess over time things changed somehow.
Some of the things you mentioned within your blog topic I've experienced/dealt with in the real world.
map That's what I've been getting at.
Less of that now or I'll be taking the whip to you myself
And just to get this straight, I wasn't suggesting a medal for your blog...but I wondered do you think you deserve one for not mentioning names of people you could be referring to...
( but forget it as its not so important).
As for your shopping trolley humour... yeah ok I always guessed that about you... you blog to attract a selective few and fair enough that's ok, what ever tickles your fancy but no need to knock them that like their soft spots tickled in other ways.
Glad to know I don't cause you sleepless nights
"Thank you for your comment" that's what Dani says to me too on her blogs when she rather I not comment again
Actually that's not funny ... knowing I'm not wanted
frigging hell" hope it doesn't loose me a nights sleep
Anyways gotta go do me some late night Christmas shopping ....
may I please borrow your shopping trolley
