The Anti-Christ
For centuries (if not longer) the Anti-Christ has been talked about. We have been led to believe that the Anti-Christ was going to be a figure-head (person) and he would at one time or another in our future come. When he has arrived, it was supposed that it would not be a good thing for humanity, and some would say he would bring outright evil.Now, talking with a friend, it had occurred that with the turning away from the Christian religion...I am not saying that everyone should convert to Christianity...but I am talking about the decline in people being part of the Christian religion. I think I heard one time, about 10 years ago, there has been a 40% decline in people proclaiming to be Catholic, compared to the 1950's.
With this decline, people, by default, are turning away from the Bible. The Bible is the teaching of Jesus Christ (Word of God). Does it not make sense, if you are turning away from the teaching of Jesus Christ, you are therefore an anti-Christ?

But goodness too destroys making even more sense why mankind is/could be the anti Christ.

However I believe Scripture is clear that the AntiChrist in prophecy is to be one individual with great power and influence.
Anyways, that is my personal opinion.
Ms calmseekheart, that's true the apostasy has created our own little anti Christ's, but like prophecy dictates the anti Christ will be someone with immense power and stature like the antipope.

I cannot argue with your point, there is much validity to it.
However, some of the examples you have provided have to do with the people who claim to represent that religion...and not the actual religion itself.
But what I think when I hear the end of the world, is it is inevitable. We all die...thus, we all have our worlds end.

I am not a believer...but respect people who do believe...to a point...just do not like people who push religion in my face...
I think most people are good...but some are evil...or misguided...Trump comes to mind...

I can see and understand where that makes complete sense. We all have our freewill...do we do good, do we do evil...all within our control.

But with all fairness, it has been said the same about G.W....being the Anti-Christ. But if the AC was around today, he/she would have many willing followers....I think.
Any belief which does not encourage or even allow free thought has the potential to allow evil to happen.
That is an interesting point.
However, I do still think religion...overall has served society well. Maybe too well. I don't think a population that is as large as it is today would exist if it were not for religion keeping the majority in line. Now with over population.....
The pope today is a non conformist...good for him...and for many out there that were discriminated against...religion that is too controlling and punative serves no one...but itself...power is seductive...and evil...
