Latest on Weinstein, charges are filed

"Harvey Weinstein's former intern claims he exposed himself to her ...

1 day ago - A former intern claims Harvey Weinstein exposed himself to her in 1980 when she was 24. ... Harvey Weinstein’s s*xual harassment dates all the way back to 1980, his former intern alleged Sunday. ... Women who have accused Harvey Weinstein of s*xual harassment and assault."

This is appalling to me. How he got by over the years and only now that women has the collective effort to come out and expose their individual experiences with such an evil man. That is 37 years and who knows what else before that.

Power and money, this man has wielded any law to make him free. I can imagine, how these poor souls, young and striving to have a financially secured future, cringed to their stomach as they got their breast fondled, forced their mouth to his d*ck and do that filthy, dirty job, just to have it all.

Justice, where was it? folded up in his pocket. For so long.

Now that he is old and has hurt so many, he now seeks therapy? What a joke.

Non

I believe him and want to see his documentary come to fruition...perhaps Rose McGowan could help...she is directing now...

Money is a weapon...hope some wealthy persons will help him out...

Interesting that you think Weinstein is the sacrificial lamb...but would'nt be surprised...sigh
Absolutely Non, he truly is the lamb to be slaughtered just to eliminate this evil act.
I couldn't wait for the rest of them to be charged. I wouldn't doubt at all that even the descent people like Spielberg, Scorsese, etc.
Finally charges are filed.
And finaly ,as one of the late night show hoasts noted, women no longer
have to tell him how good looking he is.
Aa good morning.

I know this is not as shocking as when it first came out but it is progressing to the right direction.

Criminal charges filed is good specially for the victims and the world.
I can't believe anyone would even consider him good looking.

Unless their motive is for money. Which makes me wonder.
bill clintons hero harvey hacksaw bag em all.
Grouch Conrad's post needs to be addressed , would you be so kind to oblige?
now watch the Obfuscations!rolling on the floor laughing
I'm waiting C

Grouch please prove our double standard?
I think I'.l go back in time to somewhere in the 1600's. I could use some of the poetry of the time to state :

Double, double toil and trouble
Fire flame and cauldron bubble
Thus it hangs from the lanyard
Doest thou love thy double standard
actually Bubba Clinton was impeached for lying under Oath, and for inducing others to lie under Oath!
Seems I was right about the Obfuscation!laugh
Yes, it seems that even the " Bard " had his problems with the double standard :

My love tells me she is made of truth
And my heart doth believe her
But lo, my soul is troubled
For it knows she lies
Lindsay ~ I listened to his Lawyer on T.V. not very convincing and very abusive verbally towards the women, as if they were all liars. Not a good start.scold
GG, he's guilty. He should just admit all the allegations to save us time and money.
Keepers wave

I know most monied people think they can do anything they want whether it's right or wrong.
Position, that'd be a sad tale. I hope he will rot in jail.

These women were hurt. Those who didn't submit to his tactics had their career suffer. Its wrong.
Lindsy, I believe you are only partially right about F.D.R. He did have a lover that would visit him in the Whitehouse when Elenore was away, even his children admitted to it but the allegation of fathering a child I do not think is true. Another case of an " illicit " affair was Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. He had an affair with his driver Kay Somersby. Now admittedly they both were married at the time but the affairs were for the most part consensual. I try not to judge anyone that has a consensual affair, regardless of the circumstance mostly as it is none of our business. I also do not think that we have the right to pick and choose who we wish to vilify and who we wish to crucify. We may not know all the facts or circumstance behind the allegations, and we do apply a double standard whether we wish to admit it or not.

The bottom line should be that people are only human and for all the good and bad they do it is their accomplishments to history and how well they did the job handed to them.
Of course Reb.
