Scalped.... Again!

Some of you may remember how horrified I was the last time I went to the barbers and came away scalped (scapled even!laugh )

Well this time it was a deliberate request following the copious numbers of women telling me that I was gorgeous eye candy with short hair.

Have to say its not my preferred choice, but then looking on the bright side, I'm saving myself shed loads of money not having to buy shampoo!grin

I love Animals & Nature !

Imagine sitting in the felt, calm and relaxed, so that ur vibes r good, and very soon the animals starts rocking up.

The bold ones will come right up to u, while the shy ones will duck and dive under the foliage, just in case u r not as nice as u appear to be.

The Butterflies will investigate the finger u hold up, and park themselves on it, till ur poor arm can't stay up anymore.

The Rock Rabbits will squeeze out of their hidey hole in the rocks. I had one as a pet when very young.

The small birds will swoop over u, checking out this strange human in between nature, totally harmless to all animals.

Yes, that's me and my 2 boys.

Do u want to be like us ?

Values ?

We were all born innocent, without any faults or values.

Our caregivers then teaches us as we grow up what we should and should not do. We meet people along the way who influences us to become the person we are when leaving school/university/college finally, and have to now stand on our own feet, with hopefully a full education behind us.

Along the way we have built up a value system, to start living by, and as we grow older the values change according to what we learn from life.

Some people never learn from mistakes and tend to repeat them time and again, so their value systems actually go backward as one value falls the others r next, and some could not care less in that position, as they have reached the down and out stage, and just need a helping, caring hand to get back up to speed.

Thus:- Values r picked up from being born till u expire.

How many values have u retained after leaving school, and then after the first divorce, and then the next (R u loosing values or adding to them) Hurt r then causing lots of harm to u emotionally and ur value system. After each harm in ur life u must use this time to first heal before going onto the next goal, but what invariably happen is that people marry again during the rebound stage as they cannot handle being alone. Will they ever grow up then, to their full extent, or r they bound to go backwards all the time for the rest of their lives, till when some caring person gives them advice, which invariably they will discard, and get angry about.

Values r so important in ur life. Learn from them. Build them up further and become the person u r meant to be !

Sharing what happen today...

Okay folks, join in if you wish. I wanted to share with you something that happen to me today that does not normally happen on a daily basis. I was just driving home from the theater and a cop passed me doing about 80mph in the city with its lights on.

Does anyone else care to share something? It does not matter what it is....can be stupid (like mine....lol), something enlightening, something funny, something sad, just something that don't normally happen or you don't normally see, or.....

This is intended to be a fun blog...but if something sad is posted...we have enough nice people around to turn that frown upside down. :)

Sweet and Sour Summer

Today I took the short trip to a nearby village where I was to view a property. The young couple and their two children were delightful. I then walked along the canal tow path with my dog squeezing past the shire horse and the boatman as they towed the long boat and it's waving passengers, accompanied by the little terrier wearing a little red kerchief.

The sun was blazing down and the ducks were playing. The Mallard drakes were chasing the hens to much rowdy objection and rejection whilst the odd swan glided by with out a trickle in the cool, fresh water shaded by the weeping willows on the opposite bank.

Passers-by greeted me and many stopped for a chat. Dog walkers, parents with babies in pushchairs, families on bikes and little boy racers with stabilizers.

Even the youngsters who were wired for sound nodded and smiled.

I stopped at the cottage cafe. The one with the many teapots adorning the cob walls on outdoor shelving, sheltered by an over hanging thatched roof.

My dog and I sat beside the little pond framed in wild flowers and arching shrubs, listening to the waterfall.

On the next table were three young ladies who it would appear were teachers. They had ordered the rather exotic and extravagant afternoon tea which stood in tiers centre stage. The whole time I was there they were bitching about their underlings, breaking into raptures of laughter and then they would each sing their own praises about how terribly perfect they each were and would have done it this way or that.

I think the sooner we all realise that everyone is different and we all possess different skills and provide varying pleasures the better.

I noticed how they revelled in tripping their colleagues up instead of teaching and nurturing them into how a thing should be done and they were typically talking about the children like they knew what was best for them and as if they were possessions with which to prove their own self worth.

The drive home was also a little flawed as not one but two scenic routes had been closed so I could only use the motorway. I'm sure there was a good reason.

Frankenstein moments

Those moments where suddenly everything changes. You know the type I mean? I call them Frankenstein because when the good doctor watched his creation lurch off to the village he would have had that ohhhhhhhhh nooooo moment rolling on the floor laughing

I've had a few and man they are bad. When you get a brilliant job, your boss takes you away on a business trip to meet the clients and you're talking about business over dinner and - yikes. He's suddenly not interested in business. ohhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooo. You look back over the conversations and suddenly realize you missed signals and warning signs ..

Inviting someone to spend Christmas with your family, that happened once, and then they say something so bigoted and stupid and moronic and you don't know how to withdraw the invitation because you hadn't realized what a total zonk they are ... that's not this Christmas. But it did happen once. NIGHTMARE. Backing off and dancing away was stressful.

Ever had one? help

The electronic Age !

If u r of a certain age, u grew up with these electronic gadgets.

If not, u only picked up on it at an adult age, and had to do it the hard way.

Is it not easy for a child to understand gadgets, where an adult battles with the concepts and terminology.

By now we r all very familiar with most of these gadgets as they r now part of everyday life:-

Cell Phone, PC, Laptop, Tablet, etc

Soon we will be exposed to full AI, robots, automated vehicles, etc

THE FOURTH SIGN OF THE ZODIAC (PART 3) Mary Oliver

I know, you never intended to be in this world.
But you’re in it all the same.

So why not get started immediately.

I mean, belonging to it.
There is so much to admire, to weep over.

And to write music or poems about.

Bless the feet that take you to and fro.
Bless the eyes and the listening ears.
Bless the tongue, the marvel of taste.
Bless touching.

You could live a hundred years, it’s happened.
Or not.
I am speaking from the fortunate platform of many years,
none of which, I think, I ever wasted.
Do you need a prod?
Do you need a little darkness to get you going?
Let me be as urgent as a knife, then, and remind you of Keats,
so single of purpose and thinking, for a while, he had a lifetime.

(John Keats, one of the English Romantic poets, was 25 when he died. Mary Oliver is 81)

I know, there is a poetry section, and this isn't even my own. I like it. tongue

I liked a comment under the article and quote even more, even though it is practically the opposite message.

The Illusion

What if many things in our lives are just illusions.

What if the recent record numbers of the stock market are being manipulated in this fairly weak economy?

What if the news we watch and depend on is not exactly what is really going on?

What if the money we own is just worthless paper being used by the elite to manipulate us like pawns to provide lavish lifestyles for them?

What if we are not really free but are really owned by the elite?

What if music is not something we just mindlessly enjoy but instead manipulate us with hidden messages?

What if ufos have visited us?

What if love really does not exist?

What if all these Hollywood celebrities were not born looking perfect and have had many surgeries and spent millions on themselves?

What if our country is not our country and is really theirs (elites)?

What if privacy does not exist anymore?

What if religion is really a fairy tale?

What if the majority of the food we are sold is not healthy for us to eat?

What if our water is not safe?

What if the majority of medicine is designed to keep the poor, poor and the rich, rich?

What if our dreams carry significant messages?

What if our memories don't remember everything accurately?

....any more possible illusions?
