In the future children will be raised believing it is their duty to seek a happy life, with just one proviso*. They will be taught from the beginning that this life is the only one they have and when it is over, it is over. They will be raised to understand their options in life, but they will not have to attend school unless they seek knowledge. They can stop studying any particular subject, or even leave formal schooling, whenever they have had enough, if they are clear they understand how this could affect their futures. If the hopes and dreams of their parents differ from their own, they will be expected to consider their parents’ wishes, but not forced to obey.
They will not have to follow the laws of any religion, because there will be no religion.
They need only obey those who have earned their respect, or whose rules make sense to them.
Children who are uneasy with pressures put on them can move, for as long or short a time as they wish, to communal places of safety where they will be housed and fed. There will be no automatic blame to the parents and no need for the youngster to defend the decision – no justification needed, no questions when they come and no questions when they leave, the option is open to all.
*The only proviso all in the future have to obey – and it is an absolute – is that they cannot harm others, or maliciously interfere with any other person who is seeking another path to pleasure.
Parents can therefore explain their ideas of the best possible future to their child, but cannot enforce them.
All these future children, when they are grown, will, like all adults, earn a basic minimum wage, enough to support them, in return for working 15 hours a week. If it is their pleasure to work longer and earn more, that is fine, they can find their path and follow it. They are free to love whom they please, for as little or as long as both wish. Again, the only universal rule is no deliberately harming others. Harm does include deliberately causing distress so they cannot lie, cheat or defraud without earning the status of social outcast for breaking that one simple rule.
Utopia, or chaos?
open minded I can also be quite sceptical. I decided to give the palm reader a visit,
I sat down and offered my palm when requested. Boy was The look on her face scary. She Gave me back my money and had me ushered out.
To this day I never had the guts to have my future told again. I recall The look of horror on her face whenever I think about it and wonder what she seen in my palm to evoke such a reaction.
Have you ever had your palm read ?
Was it accurate ?
Today my garage opener decided to stay closed. So, investigating the problem resulted in opening it up tp see the main (plastic) drive was broken in half. Off with the model number to Google we went, and within 5 minutes I had the new part on order and scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.
Last year my gas heater broke on the coldest day of the year. fortunately I have 3 heaters and took the part needed from the one heater to the other heater. But, found the part number, went to Google and had the part within 2 days.
The internet in my eyes is the best innovation mankind could have developed for the consumer. After that comes the Cell Phone. But, the cell phone would not be that great without the assistance of the internet.....
I've been thinking for a while it was time to upgrade the smallest room but it wasn't until I came across this catalogue that I got really fired with enthusiasm. However, now I'm spoiled for choice and I really can't decide. Do I go for style or comfort? Wow factor, or convenience?
Your help in this decision would be very much appreciated. Whether you point Percy at the porcelain or Alice at the chalice, haven't you appreciated the variations on basic white?
And bearing in mind you're unlikely ever to visit me, which would you expect to see in my house, knowing me as you do by now ...
or the utterly practical
If I had a second loo I would of course take both but it is a very small house and the UK, unlike the US or SA, doesn't go for a loo per room.
What Do You Do When You're Feeling Down?
Mexicans.
Do you really know a Mexican national?
Are we Mexicans; the disgusting waste of American society, according to Donald Trump says?
Why against Mexicans and not the Chinese?
Frankly I do not know, and despite being agnostic, the phrase "- poor México so far from God and so close to the United States-" seems an absolutely insane and frightening prophecy.
online today!
And maybe a friendship also....
but I done it years ago before, and because I'm deeply worried, I'll risk it again.
Since April of this year my friend, our friend Nam is in Ukraine, assisting in their war.
September 2nd is the last mail I received from him, unlike his last mail before it, he was over there with only 3wks to go, asked me to pray for him as he felt those last weeks were going to be his longest, and him being him, the NAM within the man had to throw a joke in of course, to lighten his mood and perhaps for me to worry less..... as if.
Not long ago I put out a request for a link, and thanks to a member, I received one
but the thing is, unless I hear from Nam, I need to be searching every once in awhile and since I don't have the know how, could someone else from another end if possible, do the search for me???
Would really appreciate, if someone would.
A thought for Nam along with a prayer, he'll return home, safely....
Don't we owe our existence to our parents? Instead, many of us are of the mindset of me, me, me. Is it possible that we have become so distracted and convinced it is all about us...when really, it isn't? Look at the union of parents today....or should I say, the dis-union.
Just a thought that popped in my head. ...something to perhaps ponder.
Normal is
getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work, and sitting for ages in gridlocked rush hour traffic in a car that you are still paying for, in order to get to the job you have to have to pay for the clothes and the car, and for the house which you leave empty all day so that you can afford to live in it.
Normal is
1 conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern
2 according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle
3 occurring naturally normal immunity
3 relating to, or characterized by average intelligence or development IQs within the normal range
4 free from mental illness : mentally sound symptoms of paranoia in otherwise normal persons
Normal is
1. An idealistic state of being that remains as such. Because the idea of such a state varies from being to being and any set standard is nonetheless someone elses idea of what it is this condition warrants satisfactory confirmation of being amongst the confirmed members of such class, by the individuals code.
2. Normal is about as concrete as the idea of "love". The meaning is constantly evolved to suit the momentary desires and/or needs of a single person, or group of people.
3. A tool of conformity.
Normal people never think for themselves, they play follow the leader their entire lives and freak out when confronted with any situation they were not trained to deal with.Yeah, I'm looking up normal to see if I am. It's not looking good.
Oh hang on -
Normal is
There is no such thing as normal so there can't really be a definition
Phew.
