The name is Philipsen - Mr Philipsen!

I am a HUGE champagne lover. The brand I would most like to try, is Bollinger. However, they are a bit out of my price range, or so I thought. I saw an ad on Facebook, marking the release of No Time To Die, the latest Bond film. It's a 007 branded Limited Edition Bollinger, that is coming in a VERY cool case. Here is how 007.com describes it:

"In celebration of over 40 years of partnership as the Official Champagne of 007 and the upcoming film No Time To Die, Champagne Bollinger has produced a limited edition gift box that brings together three icons: Bollinger’s signature Special Cuvée, the Aston Martin DB5 and James Bond.

The limited edition gift box features the silhouette of James Bond alongside his Aston Martin DB5. The colourway of the gift box echoes the silver birch finish of the DB5. The Bollinger lettering and logos are depicted in gold and the iconic Special Cuvée bottle has been adapted to feature a black and gold neck collar with a 007 blazon.

Champagne Bollinger worked with celebrated photographer Greg Williams, for the soon to be released Special Cuvée 007 Limited Edition campaign, featuring his signature cinematic style that also appears in the No Time To Die campaign."

And here it is in all its glory:

It was right then and there, that I decided, to get one. I feared it would be VERY expensive, since.. Well, it's a Bollinger, after all. However, I was pleased when this 007 Limited Edition came in at $62, with shipping. I don't usually pay that much for champagne, but I made an exception, since Bollinger is the brand I have always wanted to buy. The one I REALLY want to try, is the 1955 Bollinger R.D. Extra Brut. However, that bottle is VERY expensive, coming in at around $1200 on average. So I will enjoy this relatively cheap Bollinger. Or will I? I am not sure that I want to open it, since it IS a limited edition champagne. It would be a shame if I opened it up. I do have that champagne I got for my birthday. Maybe I will open that, once I get my own place. Celebrate in class and style, you know.

The Bollinger is on its way to me as I type this. I have a tracking number that I look at regularly. If all goes well, I should have it tomorrow or Tuesday.

It's gonna be SO good to get it. I will probably feel like a secret agent. Maybe I should bring a disguise or something.

Time to start dating. Where to begin?

Since it's summertime, and I am in desperate need of some human contact that isn't friend based, I am throwing myself out there on various dating sites. Here's a small hiccup, though: There are SO many dating websites and apps, that it's tricky to maneuver through them all.

I downloaded Tinder, but was met with a paywall. Seeing as I am poor, I have no opportunity to spend any money on premium subscriptions. Many of the apps are pay to use, now that I think about it. Even the free apps are pay to use. If a dating website says it's free, then it has to be free.. But that's probably just me who thinks like that.

I could look for someone here, on this website. I did write to an American, where I asked the following: "Hello. What is the most interesting/weird fact that you know?". The reply was "loving myself".. That's not a remotely interesting or weird fact.. Anyway.. I might try again, but I am not really expecting anything major to happen. That way, I can only be pleasantly surprised, if it somehow evolves into something other than a friendship.

Let's get to work!

39 years later...

21st June 1982...
three of my good friends killed in a car crash rose rose sad flower
one was 21, another 20 and my best friend...she had just turned seventeen.

After so many years I'm well over it still... never are they forgotten and not thought about.
Now as a much older person, I look back and recognize the mums loss more than my own.

Her name was Agnes, had not long being diagnosed with cancer and was actually still in hospital that night of the crash, was due to be going home in the morning, how excited she was about it also. I remember that time well because her girls and I had redecorated her bedroom as a nice welcome home present for her.

Her eldest daughter was the 21yr old girl killed in the accident, and her youngest daughter was my 17yr old best friend... how she lived for those girls.

She had two sons left.....
the eldest was a bad egg but her youngest, a bit of a wild one yet he stood up when the other didn't, minded her. 4mths later he too was in a serious car accident himself, after X amount of days, they turned off his life support machine... 21st of October.

Exactly 6mths later she herself died.
she was discovered dead in her bed the morning of December 21st.
Wasn't the cancer that killed her, but she died from a broken heart instead sad flower
But given her sadness I myself think there was Kindness in her death.

Her eldest son then came back from England pretended he was living with her all the time, he lied with the hope he would get the house.... And thankfully he did because the house brought him nothing but bad luck which is all he deserved thumbs down

Before Agnes and her family lived there, it was the house where my aunt lived with her young family.
looking back now, I remember how often my aunt complained about the house, couldn't shake the feeling it was bad luck, what a different person she were whilst living init... when her daughter died twice in one night... that's when she decided enough, time to move.. her misfortunes and bad luck then saddy became Agnes and hers... crying

Anyways, tonight I'm just looking back remembering my friends rose rose rose rose sad flower

Knowing Thyself

I think it’s actually a real gift to find ourselves in this position of not knowing because it means we can change that, we can get to know ourselves and our needs, we can start liking ourselves, taking care of ourselves better, and eventually develop a strong and profound sense of self-love. And from my personal and professional experience, I can tell you, this feeling is magicalwine teddybear

Happy Birthday, dad. I miss you.

Today, my dad would have been 71 years old, if he was still with us.

I still haven't fully accepted that he's gone, even though he died in 2018. it will take some time for it to really sink in, but I'm slowly letting go of the denial. The denial of him not being here. The denial of not receiving a phone call on my birthday with a "Happy Birthday. Have a great day!"

One day, I will be fully accepting that he's gone.

I'm just not ready to let go..

I Have You

Sometimes
All the world can seem so
Friendless
And the road ahead so
Endless
And the dream so far away
Sometimes
When I'm almost
To surrender
Then I stop
And I remember
I have you
To save my dayteddybear

I wonder why this difference exists?
