Crisis averted!

After I have moved to a new city, I needed to apply for benefits again, because I couldn't just take them with me from the previous council I lived in. In order to re-apply for the benefits, I first had to move my address, and wait for it to be confirmed. That took about a week, so once that was done, I applied for the benefits. Usually, it takes about four days for the benefits to be approved, but.. Nothing happened.. I waited.. And waited.. Then finally, today, I was approved for the benefits. I am not going to be on them forever, since my education starts in August, so I need to be on them for around three months time. After that, once my education starts, I qualify for what's known as an education boost instead of SU.

What is SU? It's a government funded program, that pays you $851 a month after tax to study. The education boost that I qualify for, pays me $1480 a month for 20 weeks. Once those 20 weeks are up, I am going to get a proper salary from a company.

So now, the crisis is averted. I can sit back, relax and wait until I start my education. My birthday is coming up soon as well, so I need to figure out what to make, food wise. I am thinking beef wellington, but I am not sure I am skilled enough to make it. I have a few days to decide what to make, so I'll definitely have some time to plan everything. From the food to the entertainment. UNO is a big hit here, as is yatzy. Card games are also huge as well, so I'll figure it out.

But for now, relax and enjoy the weekend! Also apply for a few jobs as well, since I am not exempt from that. Six weeks before I start my education, however, I am. Until then, my contact person at the council has told me, that instead of applying for three to four jobs a week, I can apply for one to two a week, effectively cutting it in half.

Wonderful!

i prefer the truth to a fairy-tale of lies...i have posted for years and learnt how things work...some will come at you out of the blue and attack you..they will play the victim...while they are the instigators of the trouble...

A good relationship a good partner, everyone looking for love .

Well if you happen to read most of the profiles on here, everyone seems to be wanting and looking for the same thing, to find true love and a good man or woman who is a dream search. But it's one thing saying and doing, things like that I mean true love and a dream match doesn't fall from the sky like rain if one wants that they have to work hard towards having that, be patient, think outside the box, come out of your shell and look out towards the horizon. Even if they do found someone even more than they bargained for and found out that he or she may be on the other end of the world, what do they do? just nothing, they are too impatient and lack a will to make something happen, they rather choose someone close who will be useless and unworthy and then cry about it and this goes on and on. So my advice to them is to get off your butt and if by fate come across someone like a dream but happens to be far away, just don't ignore it, do something about it, cause good people are hard to come by and they are not left on the shelf too long cause they sell like hot bagels, if you skip the line someone else will be lucky enough.

How I wish I had a few million of my currency to spend!

I came across an idea the other day, while I was playing Farming Simulator. Buying a field, get planning permission and then build a house, and use the rest of the field as my garden.

I then had a look at where fields were for sale. I had no luck, but there were some disbanded agricultural properties for sale. No luck. Then I tried to look for cheap derelict houses for sale, and I found one for sale for around $200k. The house has seen better days, but knock it down, and you have the best property to develop. Now for the house. The cheapest one I could find was $272K, and it's one of those package deals that comes with everything. The contractor will build the house to my spec, and all I have to do is relax.

So, for $500k (3.1 million Danish dollars) I can get my very own 1571 square feet house, complete with everything! Kitchen, appliances and whatever else fits in a kitchen. All I need is furniture, which I have.. Okay, I only have a bed, a tv stand and a small shelving unit.

I need to win the lottery.

Its a great pity

Its a great pity there are not alot more options when editing comments , just delete seems so ineffective , there should be an option to shove it up someones rear end , maybe that would have the effect of reducing the size of trolling posts , outa here , gota go to work

In my heart, I do

Maybe she’s busy. Maybe she’s coping the best way she knows how. Maybe she’s stressed. Maybe stuff isn’t going her way, and she’s saving her energy.

Maybe she really did miss your text.

Maybe she is overwhelmed with kids, family, and bills. Maybe she’s trying her best, but her best isn’t much right now. Maybe anxiety is getting in the way and rearing its ugly head, as it so often does.

Maybe it has nothing to do with you at all. Maybe it’s about her.

There are a million reasons she might be falling short. Maybe it really is that things have run their course. It’s a sad part of life, but it is, nonetheless, a part of life. Only you can make that call.

But, then again, maybe it’s something else. Don’t forget to give the benefit of the doubt. Don’t forget to forgive. Don’t forget sometimes friendship means loving each other through the tough seasons, and the rainy weather, and all the ups and downs.

May we hold eachother in the good times and in the rough times even if that means giving space....

To those I have been too busy for —
I love you - I’m sorry -
To those who have been distant from me -
I love you - I understand -

I have an ambition!

It's not to become leader of a country, though. I feel someone else might be WAY better suited for that than me. If I ran a country, I would mess it up instantly. Although, I do seem to have quite a good thing going for me in Government Simulator.

I might hear you ask "What is Government Simulator?".. I'm glad you asked. You see, Government Simulator is a is a simple economic and political simulation game based on real-world data, so technically, the game is pretty close to what happens in real life if you implement the changes.

The last time I played, I tried my hand on fixing the USA.

I implemented some of the things that we have here in Denmark, to see how that would fare in the USA according to the game. I was quite surprised.

Here's a list of things I have done, and the effect it's had:

40 hour work week
Legal minimum restricted work age: 15. Unrestricted: 18
Hourly minimum wage: $15.40
Unions allowed
Retirement age for both men and women: 66
Abortion allowed
Guns not allowed
12 month maternity leave after birth. An additional 12 months entitlement to exemption thereafter
A 100% health insurance reduction. Essentially it's Universal healthcare
Strict punishments for crime
No death penalty.
Very strict punishment for pollution

35% income tax, 50% corporate tax. 2% property tax, a 1% fuel tax, a 15% alcohol tax and a 75% tobacco tax.

Total income is $2.872,22 billion.
Total expenditure is $2.2.497,22 billion

Surplus: $374.71 billion.

The debt is $10.465,91 billion

Approval rating is 91%

It's important to stress out, that this is a video game, so it might not be accurate. But, the game runs on real life data, so some of the things might be real.

But that was a detour - time to talk about my ambition.

You see, ever since I was told I would be a great supervisor, I have been thinking: What if I end up being a team leader? Or a trainer? Or a supervisor? Maybe even a boss? Sure, the pay is better, but the amount of responsibility I would be getting is insane. Lots of things to do, people to manage, schedules to plan, phone calls to take.. I have seen how many phone calls my team leader gets on a daily basis, and it's quite a lot. IF I was given the option to become a trainer, I would gladly take it. I enjoy teaching new people about the systems, give them small hints or straight up tell them my favourite way of doing a task. Like, for example, how to pick the best way manually.

So yes, my ambition for my job is to become more than just a regular employee. I want responsibility. I want to be more important, because frankly: I deserve it. I have been pulling extra hours this past month, and I'm already sort of training our new temp workers. I'm gonna have a word with my team leader when he's back from holiday on Monday.

Speaking of my place of employment: I have been there one year today! I started as a temp worker on August 8, 2022. Time really does fly..

ACV Vinegar

Several times now while researching something on the internet I’ve come across benefits of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR or ACV for short. So as I do with most things I go off researching ACV (instead of what my original search was for). I came across something so scientific that it went right over my head with a tailgate saying “boring”. Then I came across a 12 ounce once a day ACV drink recipe and made it. It had 2 Tablespoons of vinegar which I just happened to have a large jar of organic ACV. I have several times done plain shots of that ACV but I shudder every time so it’s not a daily habit. Who knew I was going to fall in Love at first sip. I was glad I only made one glass and I’m hopeful that down the road it has some benefit, I really don’t care which benefit. I know it helped a lot of people with digestive issues of which I don’t have. It supposedly helps with brain fog which I enjoy. We’ll see six months down the road.

This morning’s challenge was to multiply the recipe by five and make a picture so I can readily have a glass a day. All went well until I added the last ingredient before stirring. It was two and a half teaspoons of cinnamon which decided to land on top of the water and stay a dry powder form. I stirred it to make dust and have dry cinnamon powder stick to my stirring stick. Eventually some tiny lumps started to sink to the bottom, the water also started turning a tint of cinnamon. I never realized how impossible it is to work with. Maybe I need to blend the powder with a liquid before pouring it in.

Guess what while writing this I resolved my own problem. Next time I make this delightful drink I am going to use a cinnamon stick instead of that damn impossible powder that I dearly love in most cooking recipes.

Just for the hell of it I might mention that I have always had a variety of vinegars in my cupboards because I could actually put vinegar on anything and like it. There are many flavors from other cultures of vinegar which I have many. As much as I love coconut in all things, turns out that coconut vinegar is the only one I disliked.
