The purpose of life

The older I get, the more often I think about my legacy to be left behind when I am gone.

In Russia we say man's life complete: when he built a house, had a son, and planted a tree. Nothing about women though

So here I am:
I created a garden 2,5 acres, with dry rock walls, a rock walled pond, collection of Hybrid Lilacs (Russian, Belorussian, Polish, French, German and one American Father Fiala Lilacs) When 84 of them bloom in Spring I cannot take my eyes off them, I smile. The happiest time! I don't think anyone will have a nerve to take them down. A vegetable and herb garden with 8x8 greenhouse (which I built myself),collection of paeonies, David Austin roses and other stuff.
I planted A real Russian birch (Betula pendula) which seedling I found growing by the steps of my house in Russia. It is not native to North America. Pity! Beauty! A powerful medicinal tree. My pride and joy!
What else: three children and one grand daughter
That's it, not much but I've done what I could.

I don't want people who will come after, to remember me. I just wanted to make Planet look prettier and keep my family line live.

Maybe someone will share their thoughts on leaving a legacy behind
Otherwise just ignore me I was talking to myself .. as usually conversing

Will the DNC make Jimmy Carter potus when 46’s approval rating soon approaches 10%?

Or does 46 still have a chance and go big like FDR.

King Charles gets peevish.

Heard mention of him acting poorly on a couple occasions. Gee...I wonder why!doh Could it be that he just lost his mum? That he just got thrust into a job he never wanted. That at 73 he is forced to parade behind her coffin in full dress. That he has to stand for 20 minutes in front of her coffin while people gawp at it all?
That he has little chance to cry or mourn without being on view. That he has to console strangers who act like he is duty bound to entertain the mass of people making the scene?
It seems to me when a important note worthy person dies, people forget those closest to him or her are the real sufferers and mourners.
So son, rant and rave all you want. You have the right.sad flower

Divine intervention or just luck?

I cannot explain this. No matter how much I go through it, in my mind, I simply cannot explain what happened today.

Yesterday, after work, I went to do some food shopping. When I got home, my keys were missing. I retraced my steps, but I couldn't find them. I phoned up my landlady, who came by and unlocked the front door and my room. She then told me she would be back today with a new set of keys.

I went to bed, not sleeping well at all. I lost a set of keys. Both to the house, but also to my mothers place as well.

This morning, I was late getting out of the door. This is where the unexplained happened. I was waiting for the bus, and as I did, a road construction worker came up to me. "Good morning. You look like a nice guy. I was wondering if you could help me with something?"

I'm always up for helping, so my response was "Sure, what do you need?".

"I found these keys, and I was hoping you could get them back to whoever lost them."

I looked down into his hands - he was holding my exact keys, that I lost the day before.

What are the chances, that this guy and me were at the exact same spot, at the exact same time? And that he had my keys? He could have gone about his day, not coming up to me, and I would have lost my keys forever. I told the story today to my coworkers, and one of them went "It's divine intervention, for sure! The Universe has rewarded you. God is with you and He loves you!". It's one of those things that cannot be explained.

I should buy a lottery ticket..

Falling into fall.

Do the leaves dying and falling and the temp of 56 mean summer is over. WAH! I hate winter. Have to bite the bullet and decide what outside needs 70. Fix it, paint it, cement it, move it.blues I got in the mood and re-painted the tru-fire on my drivers truck door. But, still want to paint the rims from a change over and add the wide white walls to the different tires. That needs 70s.
Tenant told me he took a walk out in the corn fields with dog and his tom cat. And they got surrounded by coyotes. Now, how much of surrounded do I believe.dunno roll eyes Anyway he got spooked and hied back to the house. I think we need hunters to reduce the pack big time. I have cats that disappear and wonder if that is what happens to them.
Also he told me the bee hive a the next farm is gone because a bear tore it up last fall. That is getting too close. I lock the barn every night, but bears seem to not be deterred by much. When I locked the barn last eve, noticed the live trap was shut.dunno Ok, which cat or chicken. Nope. A possum was curled up sleeping. WT? I hadn't even put bait in yet!rolling on the floor laughing Talk about a dumb possum. Gee..here is a cage thing with human scent. Think I should walk into it and see what is going on. Now he is a dumb, dumb, dead possum. I will reset the trap. Do I need to bother with bait?
I went outside when it hit 60 yesterday and sun out. Moved some plants and decided, enough with this huge planter of spider plants I haul in and out. Half died. So re-potted to smaller and that one can be annuals next year. Decided to mix up mortar to work on an urn I am making. Just started and...what engine is my tenant below running anyway. Sounds like race car. Then instead of rumble, heard individual..OH..it is thunder.confused Not supposed to rain! Look over and getting dark. Darker. Wind, hail? Acorns? Me thinks maybe...HOUSE! Not a good idea to be under a car canopy and trees. Brought the bowl of mortar in and worked on a sculpture inside. Storm went fast and back out to use it up on urn.
Moved some plants into the loggia. They may as well get used to no sun. Like me.
Need to go down the dog trot and pull billboard tarps back over from wind this summer. But waited til boarder and I got the walnut tree and hackberry cut off. AGAIN. He said did walnut TWO years ago. I though they grow slow! This was back up to 4 inch trunk. Next spring> Roundup!
I wonder what winterizing is in other states?

The tomato story of a man who had no computer..............

A jobless man applied for the position of 'office boy at Microsoft.
The HR manager interviewed him, then gave him a test: clean the floor. The man passed the test with flying colors.

"You are hired," the HR manager informed the applicant, "give me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the application for employment, as well as the date you should report for work.
The man replied, " I don't have a computer or an email!"

"I'm sorry," said the HR manager. "If you don't have an email, that means you do not exist. And we cannot hire persons who do not exist."
The man was very disappointed.

He didn't know what to do. He only had $10 with him. Once that is spent, he won't have any money to buy any food.
He went to the supermarket and bought a crate of tomatoes with his $10.

He went from door to door and sold the tomatoes in less than two hours. He doubled his money.
He repeated the operation three times and returned home with $60. He realized that he can survive
this way. He started to go every day earlier, and return late.

He doubled or tripled his money every day. Soon, he bought a cart, then a truck. In a very short time, he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

Five years later, the man became one of the biggest food retailers in the U. S. He started to plan his family's future and decided to have life insurance.

He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan.

At the end of the conversation, the broker asked him for his email address.
The man replied: ' I don't have an email.'

The broker was dumbfounded. "You don't have an email, and yet have succeeded in building an empire. Can you imagine what you could have been if you had an email?" he exclaimed.
The man thought for a while, and replied, "an office boy at Microsoft!"

If you just lost your Job or Just failed an Interview Don't worry be Optimistic..... Good days are on the way.

Do you believe all you read ?

As I read the blogs and the Forums from the many posters on here ,some interest me from a positive point of view and I respond accordingly whether in fact or perhaps with a touch of humour.

However I have noticed recently that some posters who flood the Forums with their own personal ideology refuse to debate if your comments defeat their point of view ,and actually delete them. Does one class this as controlling ,or is it because they consider themselves always right with no room for manoeuvre.

A classic example is that the Royal Family are all reptilians ,hence the goat appearing at the late Queen's funeral which actually is the mascot for the Welsh Fusiliers, and the mention of a dragon on the Royal Standard.Again it does not exist,it's a rampant lion representing Scotland. London is full of dragons ,so what. Our patron is St. George who reputedly slew the dragon hence the representation. China and Japan have far more dragons in their history so does this then put them on a par with the U.K?

Another one I noticed was with reference to Elon Musk and A.I Actually Synchron beat him to it as a U.S man has had this done to enable relief from paralysis a crippling disease. Deleted of course when I pointed it out.

The list is quite endless but I wont bore you with any more.

I'm told I watch too much C.N.N confused Why would I watch American media news when I live in the U.K.laugh

Anyway folks I've been told by these bloggers to stay away from their posts and believe me I will .I'm not into brain washing or blasphemy ,and I don't live on Fantasy Island either.grin
