Does anyone care or disagree with what the UAE Foreign Minister is saying?

Before I started my education, I had set myself a goal: Do well, make all the school work I was required to do and show up every day.

Now it's the end of the first 5 months, which is the basic course. 20 weeks. 5 days in each week, making it 100 days. Of course, there have been days where I have been away, due to work experience and public holidays, so let's say 80 days of school. 80 days where I have had to sit and listen to a teacher explain something. Most times I have paid attention, but there have been days where I just wasn't there mentally.

At the end of the course, today, we had a small awards ceremony, where the best students were being celebrated. Three awards were given out: Best attendance, best fighter and an award for the biggest helper.

First up, the attendance record. It was close between two people, but in the end, only one could be the winner.

It was me. I was the winner. During these past 80 days, I have an attendance of 99.1%. 0.9% time away! The second place was 0.1% after me, at 1% time away.

The second award went to the guy in the class, who was hard at hearing. Deserved!

The last award, the helper of the year, went to someone in my class, who really helped others out, even when he wasn't supposed to.

What did we win? We won a gift certificate for a cinema, and a small toy truck.

For the first time in my life, I have actually won something!

As a Luddite, I avoid as much of modern as I can. Keep life simple. Own, buy, keep that which benefits my life and ignore the rest. Corporate America and the US government sees people as cash cows. They push the agenda of buy, buy, spend, spend. Then toss in influencers,media and ads and people feel deprived if they don't own the newest and latest, hit every entertainment and participate.
I do surveys and when questions are asked about habits, they offer up lists of banks, companies, services, subscriptions and companies. Also what accounts one has, loans and others. I click none of the above or local. Which of course gets me booted..you don't qualify.
Why, because I am not your gravy train? Because I don't own new, owe my soul to the company store, depend on others to handle my life?
People need to sit down and analyze their lives. Ignore what others tell you you need to be happy. Only ones happy are the leeches living off you. And that includes the government. That is another issue. All the handouts from the government. Mainly to corporate. But, enough to the lazy so they get their votes. Why should working taxpayers support those who don't work. I am not talking about disabled or old. I am talking about those fully capable. And I wonder just what parents do anymore to raise their own kids. The schools feed them, even in summer. Entertain them. What a world...have a kid and the village TOTALLY raised them. Hmmm..sounds like China, eh?
Simplify and figure out no one else gives a dang except if they are jealous. And in todays society, just go loot and the law and stores say oh well. Look at your life. Do you get better service from that mega bank than a small one? For sure not. They exist as a phone or PC. Not a person who smiles when you enter and remembers your name. Same for companies. Stop letting others tell you when, where, how and what. Cool is making up your own mind. Cool is a simpler life and cash in your pocket.

It is my humble opinion that there would be peace in this world if Nato would fold and go away.

The world is run by an aristocracy, no matter what form they say they are. And they hate us peasants. In the 1970s, the DNR in Wisconsin started a thing about floods. They hated the fact that they had to maintain levees and wanted to get anyone at risk off the lands. Mom and dad went to the meetings. The one she mentioned was done by a woman head of the DNR. The plan was laid out what the DNR wanted and thought. At one point mom asked her..so if there is a flood, my hill and the neighbors will be under water. Huh..well.. No..BUT! We would have to send boats to rescue you. Mom said dont try it unless you want to be shot!
Another said if we go under, the county seat town will go first..why not clear them out?...no answer.
Another question about the future of land.. and that B stood there and said by the year 2000 no one will own private land but the government. And it will be massive national or state parks. Of course some wealthy will be granted the ability to build in them.
That woman was lucky she didnt get tarred and feathered.
Look at all the restrictions on public lands. Belongs to the people but you cant go there. Blasted BLM is as bad as the DNR. Can't take that eroded fossil..leave for others. Til it erodes to dust!
The aristocrats want us to live in the feudal system. They sit on their hill in the mansion. We sit below in the villages, rent from them our homes, work for them in their companies, buy from their stores and obey.
Wont sell..OK..then we will burn you out. Flood you out. And blame climate change while hiding the manipulations done to worsen the effects. Meanwhile bring in all the third world poor who will work as slaves and kiss the riches behinds. A democracy needs a slave labor to exist.

Remember the song? To ad-lib it. Cash is no more. All exchanges are done via apps, chips, etc. Bank are far and few between, mostly on line and only to lend money.
Your income is added to your on-line account. All debts come out of it. You must have a smart phone. The governments have the right to access your account at will. They watch where you shop, what you buy and all you do. Even at the rummage sale.
Some people sneak around and use barter. But, the sheep say they like the convenience. Until they dispute something societal or governmental. Then their account is frozen. Need food..too bad. No money for you sucker.
Sometimes the "banks" run into a glitch. You check your account and it shows zero! You go on line and question. Chase the menu. Finally, oh..we will check and get back to you in 5 business days.
Do not get a speeding ticket. It will be paid on scene or your account is frozen. Try a protest..same thing.
Well, you say, I can control where and what my kids buy. Yep..and so can big brother control you.
1984 was not a novel..it was a warning.

Our wonderful mayor will only be granting interviews to reporters of color. Well isn't that special?

If this were a white mayor, anywhere, there would be hell to pay. There would be outcries of racism and discrimination.The protestors would have yet another reason to riot and loot the city. She really should be more concerned with the 40+ people that were shot last weekend or heck, even the CTU (Chicago Teachers Union) "protestors" that are planning to march to her home this evening. Let's do everything in our power to distract everyone from the real problems this city is facing. Warm weather is here and crime and shootings will only be getting worse. Where is her concern for that? I am a lifelong Chicagoan and have seen this city go from being a vibrant jewel on the lake to a living cesspool.

Way back in the 60's, Chicago was a force to be reckoned with. Old Man Daly was crooked as they come but this city worked. I remember the riots of '68. I remember my mom being escorted to her car by National Guardsman simply because of the area that her job was in. I remember Daly giving police a shoot to kill order if need be. He vowed they wouldn't take over his city. Now everyone's afraid to step on any toes and the city has gone to hell. It saddens me that I can't wait to get out of here.

I'm getting too old for all of this nonsense.....



Unilever brands Dove, Vaseline to stop using 'normal' to describe hair, skin on beauty products


Unilever's brands, including Dove, Vaseline and Axe, will soon drop "normal" from its beauty product packaging due to its negative impact.
The company Unilever has decided that "normal" is not inclusive and plans to stop using it.

The consumer packaged goods company is dropping the word from its beauty and personal care products.

Those brands include Dove, Vaseline and Axe.

Unilever said a study it recently conducted found seven in 10 people surveyed felt using the word "normal" on product packaging has a negative impact.

For people ages 18 to 35, that number rose to eight in 10.

Unilever also said it won't Photoshop models anymore. Company leadership is now committed to portraying people from more diverse backgrounds in its advertising.

About a month ago, I published a blog, where I essentially said that I wanted to be more important at work, because I felt that I deserved it.

A few days ago - it happened! At first I thought I was in trouble, because he opened up with the classic "I need to speak to you in an office, privately". My mind raced, thinking I was gonna get fired. However, it was not the case!

We have had a temp worker for the past 2 months whom we are hiring, so my job is about to change. I was given the key to the main gate, and I was told that I was gonna be in charge of closing up the warehouse when my shift ended, essentially replacing the current person who does that, which is my team leader, and I will have our newest employee under me, doing my job. What it means, essentially, is a promotion. I am not sure if my pay is going to be higher, or if it's the same wage, but what I do know, is that hard work pays off!

I, for one, am thrilled!

I have tried the best I can to get to know him and let him get to know me, but it doesn't work. It just does not. When he needed someone to caress him, I even personally asked a nice lady to be with him as long as he needed. The lady kept me informed about what they had together. Few days after he came back home, away from the lady, he and I were still in contact. Every time I called him, he still responded. I tried my best to talk to him.. to understand him more. But lately it seemed that he just wanted to be alone, doing whatever he loved doing before he met me. I know I am the most guilty one. I couldn't and still can't give him the caresses he needs the way the lady did. So I guess, he missed the lady more than he did me, and that's why he stopped responding to my calls. Yes, he has stopped meeting me.

Nothing I can do, but expect the best for him.

"Farewell my lovely Lucky! I know you are a fighter, not a sissy. I know you would rather starve than become a pet! Watch out when crossing the street and please do stay healthy, ok Lucky! You know where I live. You know how to meet me. You know that my gate will always be open for you. You know you can come back to me any time!"

He was there when a gardener stopped by and cleaned my front yard.

Since Lucky is gone, another cat got the food.
