2001 Gujarat earthquake, India

An earthquake of 7.7 magnitude hit Gujarat on January 26, 2001 and lasted for over 2 minutes. The Bhuj earthquake, as it came to be known, left utter destruction in its wake, killing over 30,000 people and destroying 400,000 homes.

How many people died in the small village of Kutch?
The death toll in the Kutch region was 12,300. Bhuj, which was situated only 20 km away from the epicentre, was devastated. Considerable damage also occurred in Bhachau and Anjar with hundreds of villages flattened in Taluka of Anjar, Bhuj and Bhachau.


What was the cause of the Bhuj earthquake?
According to geologists, the earthquake occurred at the convergent boundary between the two tectonic plates making Gujarat the epicentre of the earthquake. Even today the continuous continental collision of the plate boundary between the Indian Plate and the Eurasian plate governs the plate tectonics of the region.

It's nothing new where a tourist will climb a statue in a public place with the intent of posing for a selfie. Many of these carvings are made from marble and a few hundred years old. Huge statues, despite their size are fragile and can easily fracture when force is applied.

This past weekend, a German tourist climbed the Fountain of Neptune in Florence, Italy, causing damage estimated at 5,000 Euros.
The act was caught on surveillance cameras and the man was uploading his photos to X (formerly Twitter) so there is substantial proof who did the damage.

Hopefully, he will receive a fine for his action and this will send a message that public statues are off-limits for people to touch.

While this one was an act of stupidly, there are people who deface art/statues intentionally. Hopefully the fines are greater for them.



The tourist had to go past a gate, climb a fountain retaining wall, walk a few feet in the fountain to get to the base of the statue.

But as more one anchors to this world, the more sinks into nothingness and void, its soul becomes burdened and its conscience retreats, while its heart being devoid, hardened and with a restless mind who could anytime overcome it, pushing it to extremes. For the common one who lived its entire life away from God, becomes as harder to comprehend all these, as much as its heart being closed and without being receptive, can not cope with such level of understanding. For such understanding does need Logic, - but a different one than what the human normally assimilates from society – which is contrary to God; even more, this Logic is merely the beginning, to cross over the edge and far beyond, surpassing the worldly view which becomes irrelevant; but these, require open heart, so that Receptivity may rise, time in which the human being starts to feel peace and ease the mind. When Understanding takes place, one catches glitches and fragments of what is beyond this world, and of course, gets in conflict with itself, - that it- self – being already nurtured upon earthly views and without any vision of what’s beyond, push back; once that step is reached, and gradually over time, the fight within itself is won, the soul gets deeper focus on what is beyond, into the Realm, and looks into the world for truth, for light, for life, and then, discovers how much it knew, but how less it knows, rooting in a continuous present. Along time, in perseveration over this road, one gets deeper in Understanding, and its life, becomes Life, orienting its soul to heavenly path. Its heart, enters peace, and its being becomes filled with love; then, and only then, the human being, truly lives. One realize then, how much Vanity is into the world…”

EDELWEISS - Vol. I/Chapter I: The ALGORHYTHM

I went out for my morning walk and see someone had dropped 2 bagels in the parking lot expecting to feed the birds.
Some black crows were picking, but strangely no takers.
The reason why... the bagels were stale, as in hard like stone.

I started breaking a bagel into small pieces and throwing out to the birds who quickly ate them up. A squirrel wanted in on the action, so I threw a few larger pieces his way. He grabbed one, climbed the tree and returned for another.

To my surprise, some white birds with long bills came and chased the crows away. They had some difficulty with the size of the pieces I was breaking off for the crows, so I pinched them in 'pea' size chunks and they began to fight over them, eating as fast as I could toss them to the group.

I could see other birds in the nearby tree waiting and after the white birds left, they came over and started feeding. The whole event was more than 30 minutes and both bagels were gone!

I didn't get much walking this morning, but the birds got breakfast on me!

“All and everything is Vainglouriousness, into this world! Harder to realize such ultimate truth, when you are young and restless! As the year pass, however, one gets older and then, it has the chance to finally learn. Some reaching the 3rd age range, know it fully, especially when the body can’t function as before, becoming harder and heavier; rare, are the cases in which stamina or strength is maintained, so as the difference not be felt so much, - but in most cases, nothing helps, as the functions of the body are regressing. Then, there are cases in which the level of thinking changes, life tasted before, becoming more and more boring, or just a feeling of anxiety, taking place. While other cases, refers to what someone accomplished, and at certain time, retreats, retire, finally opening its eyes and heart to what was not conceivable before, or, just expanding its mind, in the right direction. Of course, there are particular cases who are already developing these inner states of being, since childhood, due to some events who leads them on the right path and to the exact same choices anchoring to Reality; while very, very rare, to be born this way, and have a natural insight over the world. In the flower of youth, some could walk on the right track, as well, for occurrences interfere with their life and the change happens, although not really naturally, like a process coming from the inner-self. But certain fact is that once someone walks on such a path, what is happening with it and with the world, is from amazing to shocking, each one having its own experiences, although have signs in common, with the other ones. Some of them, when encountering another one who might have understood these aspects, are rejoicing, discovering they were not alone and that nothing is wrong with them. The feeling that someone could have, that there is something in its being that pure and simple, can’t fit this society, is due to the fact that these are not found within society’s core; although society promotes ideas such as spiritual development, it is not enough, for one needs to have experience, rather than just recording something from a book which looked nice to its mind sinking along the pages, and following paths which won’t lead anywhere, if not making it feeling worse, for not being able to cope or adapt, - or, just being misled, deceived. When one realize that from a word which has different meanings to anyone hearing it, until the substance, and later the essence of what’s behind or beyond, it’s a long road – and full of dangers, as well – can’t wonder, anymore, why nothing seems to work, for it, or with it; that is because the achievement comes through practice; while practice, means constantly working with yourself. But working with yourself, becomes working against yourself, when comes about this world; when the division occurs in the – self – there is an unseen war, distinguished; from oscillation in what is worldly and what is heavenly, one can be extremely damaged, for there is a short line, from sanity to madness, as well as there are traps, encountered along this narrow path, which may harm the being. It is easy to speak of all these, but so harder, to attain!..”

EDELWEISS - Vol. I/Chapter I: The ALGORHYTHM

I've been working with a contractor and his clients for a few weeks now. Tweaking the layout of a remodeling job. Originally, it was a kitchen. Then they added the master bath, display, laundry and window seats for 2 bedrooms.
I waited for my finishing department to make a stain sample a week ago and it was rejected by the clients based on the grain of the wood. We selected a different cut of wood and requested another color sample be made. I asked for that to be ready last Friday and was told Monday.

The project is about 40 miles from my house and I rescheduled the meeting for Monday, late afternoon. The problem was the finishing department didn't get the sample for me. I made it to my appointment, went over all the details, sizes and prices... except I didn't have a wood stain sample for them to approve.
Yeah, it's not a good thing for a salesman to close a deal when the key to the deciding factor is missing. I couldn't get the deposit without final approval of the color. This means another trip... when the freaking sample is ready.

I offered excuses but the contractor is holding the deposit check until the clients are happy with the color. So, I left empty handed. But... they want to add wall units in two rooms. I tool measurements and details and will have a price for additional work from the clients/contractor.

Kinda annoyed, on the way back home, I tuned to a blues station on satellite radio to hear guitarist Joe Bonamassa hosting a show about some female blues legends.
It's been 55 years since I first started learning music, guitar in general. Quit and started back a few times along the way. While rock music is my main focus, I find myself leaning toward British blues rock that was created by guys in England listening to old records of Black American blues artists. It's Blues with a British twist. A favorite group was FREE who had billing as a blues band.

Back to the radio show, Joe played songs by Jessie Mae Hemphill, an artist who's name I didn't recognize. One of the first things I did when I arrived home was to do some YouTube research on Jessie. Her style is about as raw as blues gets...

Simple, but I'll have to wait for the weekend to 'ear out' the song and learn the parts.

“Old story new: the poor share the same greed as the rich, whole world is founded on slavery; while the poor complain over richness of others who doesn’t deserve it, they inherit the same greed, for most of all would do the same, under such circumstance of changing their lifestyle, or just advancing on social classes; one more thing which indicates the same greed, is the obvious fact that only under certain conditions, the poor ones, help eachother, as in rest, the poor become poorest, trapped in the same desires, passions, lusts, endless dreams and fictitious hopes for the better. It was always, this way; just that the recorded history, is not properly preserved, or better said, it is fixed, modified, from a generation to another, to hide the royalty under a sea of lies. A generation comes and learns about heroism, which is nothing but rape, theft and murder – masked under different laws, in which all are permitted under special circumstances, - hidden from the sight of the world and thus lies weaving the new clothes of presenting the kingdoms and empires, the princes and the queens, the emperors and their conquests. Heh! So laughable, when to think over such idea of education, which is nothing else but indoctrination, dictated by the ruling classes, by those assigned to overwatch all what happens into the territories drawn over the chessboard on which all with power of decision, to move the pawns wherever it matches the players, wherever is suitable for the variant of the game. Learning about the criminals of the world, has been a fashion, till decades ago, when all started to collapse, already, as if children in schools had a click somewhere in their hearts, to just reject the charade embalming the presence of history at their class; slowly by slowly, the tyrants will be forgotten, as they are replaced by the new ones, trained and formed upon the new, modern system that has been built in the same purpose, of reviving the old Babylon. Where there is no need anymore, to remember the birthdays of the royalties, their battles, their conquests, their registers with dates, wealth, or countless wording, all are being left to oblivion, - the new replacing the old, empowered this time, to rule, to conquest, to subdue. Human ego, rooting to evil. Nothing new, under the sun. Just that the methods of control, have been perfected to new levels, up to even people embracing openly their prison, worldwide, - even demanding the chains, the imprisonment; it is indeed, the world all have built, upon the same precepts and laws, the same inventions and theories, the same lies to be spread widely and as much as it should until the core of deception to merge with the human being who lost along its path any form of real perception. But that is until Reality strikes. For with each wave, the chains of the people are felt more and more heavier, as the years passing, and social classes melt into a unitary whole awaiting the trial, with each echo, the despair of the world splits the earth and the sky, and then, the richness is felt like a damnation as much as poverty, the life becomes meaningless for both rich or poor and nobody, anymore, seems to find a relief, while the world leaders chat in vain for a union of all, under one banner, in the affairs of a state, in the hope of an empire and a promise of immortality, - blinded, of course, trapped in a waving of deceit, to lead mankind in its trials. Barely if someone, to be found here or there, to think upon how a brick is made. Barely if someone to really understand that God watches the hand of a little girl molding clay in the heat of the sun, and for her sufferance, still spares the world to not be devoured by hungry beasts. How much weights a simple, common brick?! It weights as much as the greed of an entire world. “

It is unlikely that the Russians as a whole would intentionally end life on Earth. The majority of people, including those in Russia, value human life and the preservation of our planet.

However, the actions of any nation, including Russia, can have significant impacts on global stability and the environment. For example, the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the potential for their use in conflict pose a threat to life on Earth. Climate change, caused by human activities including the emission of greenhouse gases, also poses a major threat to the future of life on our planet.

It is important for all nations to work together to address these global challenges and to promote peace, stability, and environmental protection. This can be achieved through international cooperation, diplomacy, and the responsible use of technology.

In short, the Russians, like all people, have the potential to make positive contributions to the world and to work towards preserving life on Earth, but it is also important to be mindful of the consequences of their actions.

I'll start with looking at the case of a Kansas City Chief's football fan Holden Armenta. He gained the national spotlight after CBS zoomed in on him during the Week 12 Kansas City Chiefs-Las Vegas Raiders game coverage.

The cameras caught him wearing a Native American headdress with black paint on one side of his face (the controversial photo showed only the right side of his face and native American head dress.) Another photo of Holden Amenta sharing the love for the game with the Las Vegas cheer leaders. The photo used by the media was taken from Armenta' right showing only blackface and Native American Headdress.

Carron J. Phillips took offense to this image by writing a related article that called out the Chiefs and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Unfortunately, as proven by the camera that captured him, that angle provided only a portion of the story.

BTW, Holden Armenta is a Native American wearing the colors of his favorite football team the "Kansas city chiefs."

This young boy didn't have just black paint on his face. Instead, it was black on one side and red on the other, depicting the Chiefs' colors. The social media platform added context under Deadspin's related tweet on Phillips' article by explaining: "This fan's face is painted red & black to support the Kansas City Chiefs. Facepaint is a popular practice at NFL football games and is not related to blackface."

So why is the left-leaning biased media so inept and intent on causing division in the USA?
