Colour therapy(2)

Capricorn — yellow, neon and purple
Ruled by the planet Saturn, Capricorn is the last earth sign symbolised by a sea goat. The black, grey or khaki colour is considered lucky for a Capricorn. Similarly, they are advised to stay away from yellow, neon and purple colours.
Aquarius — yellow, orange and gold
This forward-thinking and progressive sign is denoted by the planet Uranus and is an air sign. They like to reflect and look at the larger picture, always. This fixed sign should go for electric blues mixed with silvers and other cool tones in the family. They should certainly avoid warm tones of yellow, orange and gold. These disrupt their intelligent thinking and bring negative thoughts
Pisces — navy and dark blue
Peace-loving and meditative, the last sign of the zodiac is the water sign. Pisces is denoted by two fishes swimming in opposite directions. Dreamy and calm, they should opt for blushing pinks and soft lavenders. Navy or dark blue is unlucky for Piscean energy, as it plays with their peace of mind.

There is no life without God

God gives life to man.God created everything Good. But later that Angel who became evil and is called The devil, makes all evil and sin and suffer. So after man sined, death came to man.
Good comes from God, bad comes from Evil.
Doing good lead to progress and blessing and that make you feel good.
Doing bad lead to sin and suffer and that make you feel sick and bad.
If you honour God ,no demon can stay near you. if you dishonour God you will be demon possesed and so
you will suffer bad.
anything which is against God comes from Evil, and so if you do anything against God mean it comes from devil to you.
So wake up don,t let evil to mislead you and deceive you which lead to destruction.
Believe God and love God with all heart..., and love your neighbours (All people) as yourself.
This it lead you to life and salvation.
Read bible and learn knowledge of truth .
Seek wisdom and you will find.
God bless.

Think about me every now and then old friend...

It's Sunday night and I'm wrapping up another YouTube marathon weekend, where I came across some stories about Paul McCartney and John Lennon. American singer/songwriter/guitarist Carl Perkins had enormous influence on The Beatles, early in their careers.
This video I'm linking is about after their breakup and how they often collaborated with other musicians.

Paul & Linda had visited John in New York at The Dakota apartments where he was staying. As they were leaving it's claimed Lennon said: "Think about me every now and then old friend..." Something they didn't share with anyone else. Lennon was murdered in 1980.

Years later, McCartney invited Carl Perkins to work on a project with him and stayed at their house. Carl had a dream with a song lyric and the next morning he played it for Paul, repeating the last words he and Linda heard when leaving John.

The rest is history.

Did the spirit of John pass by Carl that night?

A weekend full of sim games, true crime podcasts and Mission Impossible 7 is coming to an end!

I have had a great weekend, full of great stuff!

I went to the cinema yesterday with a coworker to see the new Mission Impossible movie, and it was quite a ride! It's full of action, car chases, insane stunts and a fantastic henchman (henchwoman?). After the movie, I went home to play some American Truck Simulator, while I listening to a true crime podcast called The Casual Criminalist.

Today, I did some grocery shopping and then jumped back into American Truck Simulator as well as more Casual Criminalist podcast. Furthermore, my back has begun to hurt, which I think could be because a nerve is pinched. Hopefully it's gone tomorrow!

Shopping in the dark ages.

I grew up by a small town. Fridays stores stayed open til 9 and the whole area shopped. We had 3 drugstores, 3 hardwares, two department stores, two dime stores, two shoe stores, a few womens shops and one mens. The downtown was mainly a square of a couple blocks either way. It took my parents and I an hour to walk due to stopping to chat with people we knew.
Teens and moms bought Tangee lipstick, Maybeline red eyebrow pencils and eyeliner cakes, Blue Waltz or Ben Hue perfume at the dime stores. Or better brands at the drug stores. Kids haunted them for toys. Shultz Dimestore owned a myna bird who startled you when he said hello.confused Look up. His cage is on top of a shelf. Woolworth had even a lunch counter. Marble, just like the one in Wilz Drug. That one is still there, even if they changed stores 3 times. Atkinson's Department store had everything for clothes and house on the main floor. Second was childrens. And the top floor was fabrics. Men found their tools and more at the hardware stores. What did you need..follow to the back, blow the dust off..had one just in case. Or follow down the wood stairs to the stone walled basement to check understock. Still no luck. OK, will order it from the catalog next stock order and call you when it's in.
We had two furniture stores, on appliance store, a record and office supply store. Even a big Montgomery Wards store. we had it all once. Now the store fronts are over half empty, those stores long closed as owners got old and kids moved on.
The other needs were met by catalogs. Wards and Sears and Robuck. Every spring came the small catalogs. Summer brought the massive main one. Fall another small to be followed by the massive winter one. Best were the Wish books. Aldens. Sears, Wards, Pennys and Spiegel.
These were the thinner Christmas ones. Mom shopped for that special dress, dad that new shirt or shoes. And kids wore them out looking at toys galore. When I was little, mom and dad bought what they thought was nice and fun. Once I ended up with a wind up train set. confused dunno Mom told me later. Dad had always wanted a train set. He looked at the price to get one for me. Choked at it and got the wind up. She said in the evenings after I went to bed, in the month before Christmas..he went in his basement office, set it up and played with it.heart1
When I chose toys, I would dog ear pages in the catalogs and circle ones. A month or two before Christmas, mom would tell me..NOW! You go through and decide what you REALLY want and mark FIVE or them. And then dad and I will go over them and decide what or if you get.
I never believed in Santa. Dad said he paid and wanted me to know it. Plus, Santa was lying to me and how could I trust them when I found out.
One year I wanted a new BB rifle. Under the tree, turned up a long gift.banana cheering No, dad said..I got you an umbrella for when you wait for the bus.scold By Christmas eve I almost believed him and was prepared to be overjoyed at an umbrella.blues It was my rifle.dancing
Toys back then were metal..cars, construction, tractors, doll houses. We wore cowboy hats and fake coonskin caps. Wore cap guns in hostlers and shot real wood arrows from wooden bows we strung. We dragged little red wagons, slid on red flyer sleds, shot BB guns and sling shots. Our toys were the start and we had to create the rest.
Now we shop box stores and click a mouse. Alone in our homes.

God Heals the Earth part 2

Confused, I looked at the old man, not understanding what he meant (of course, it was normal since it was only the second time I had done this). Then the old man continued, "I know what you did, but you must give the earth a chance to be healed. Once again, make the sign of the Holy Cross on that piece of land three times. Because that way, God will heal the earth."

I made the cross on the earth as the old man had taught me, thanked him for the lesson, and left. One year later, people in the village were talking about a new healer who had appeared. Little did they know that it was me they were talking about.

It didn't take long until a woman came to my doorstep, desperately knocking and shouting, "Healer, come with me! My daughter is sick, and you're my last hope." I went outside, and when the woman saw me, she hurriedly left, but not before throwing me a look that seemed to say, "Follow me." I followed her to her house, where we entered, and I saw her daughter lying in bed, writhing in pain in her abdominal area.

I knelt beside the poor girl's bed and asked, "May I touch you?"

The girl responded with a weak voice, "Yes, please, help me. The pain is unbearable. Make it go away."

I placed my hand on the girl's stomach and the other hand on the floor. Immediately, I saw a dark cloud, traversed by countless electrical energies. I tried to redirect the pain towards the earth through my body, but I felt a force pulling it back, weakening me. I then told the girl's mother, "This healing will be difficult, and I feel it draining my strength. I will need nourishment to regain my energy."

"Of course," the woman replied, "I will offer you the best I have."

After a good few minutes of "struggle," I managed to remove the girl's pain and illness, and she started feeling much better. However, I felt so weakened that I could barely stand and had to drag my feet to the table filled with food. After eating and feeling my energy gradually returning, I made three crosses on the ground and headed for the exit. At that moment, the girl's mother stopped me and asked, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart, but why did you make the sign of the cross towards the ground?"

I replied, "I heal people, and the Lord heals the earth," and I walked out the door of the house.

Does size really matter...

In 1951 Leo Fender's musical instrument company released an electric bass guitar. He wasn't the first, as electric bass guitars and bass amplifiers were around at least 12 years before. What Fender did was mass market guitars that were manufactured by using ready-made components that could be assembled. This technique was different and Fender held a US Patent for the design. Prior to that, they were individually hand made... a slower more expensive process.

To go along with his bass guitars, Fender released a bass amplifier in 1952 called the Bassman. It wasn't the first, as other companies like Ampeg and Audiovox were already on the market with bass amplifiers. Again, it was marketing skills where the Fender amplifiers were good sales.
The first generation Bassman had one model had a single 15" speaker in an open back cabinet. In 1954 Fender redesigned the Bassman model with four 10" speakers, also with an open back cabinet. Problems with an open back cabinet is half the sound gets lost behind the speaker.

The 1960's brought more changes for the Bassman to be a closed back cabinet with two 12" speakers, followed by a Showman model with two 15" speakers in a closed back cabinet. The Showman was impressive, but wasted lots of space with the size and difficult in transporting to the gigs. That design was called infinite baffle.
By that time, there were lots of bass amplifiers available from different companies usually using 15" speakers in smaller enclosures. Ampeg who started before Fender had a model using an 18" speaker in a compact cabinet called Portaflex that could easily be transported. Good for recording studios, night clubs and small venues, most musicians needed something larger to project the sound to the audience.
Nearing the late 60's Acoustic had a model 360 with one 18" speaker in a large cabinet. The design was called a 'folded horn' and more efficient than anything before it.

Marshall in England was producing cabinets with four 12" speakers that for some has been a standard. Available with speakers suitable for guitar and speakers suitable for bass guitar. If you've been to a rock concert or seen videos, stacks of Marshall speaker cabinets show the audience you are rock royalty.

Everything has limits and speakers in the 50's and 60's could only handle power of 20 or 30 watts. Too high of power would burn out the voice coils. The more expensive ones were less than 50 watts, giving greater output of sound.

So the theory was more speakers were needed for higher wattage.
Speaker designs improved and manufacturers were making models capable of handling 300 watts each.
That started a different set of problems. While the speaker could handle more watts... the paper cones were failing at the flex points around the edges. More research came up with rubber edge allowing for more movement.
They were loud and didn't break apart.

Size wise the industry had 18" woofers for deep bass, 15" for bass and guitar, 12" for bass and guitar, 10" for bass and guitar.

Years ago, Ampeg created a new standard that many rock bassists continue to use. Eight 10" speakers in one cabinet. The theory is, it handles 1,600 watts of power and the 8 speakers are coupled to move more air than any other design.

In 55 years of playing bass, I've tried lots of different combinations... 10's, 12's, 15's, 18's and my favorite speaker size was probably 15" because it develops a nice bass sound even at low volume. I've been shopping for a practice amp loud enough for a small venue and I'm finding most of the 200-400 watt amplifiers available have a pair of 10" speakers.
That combination gets the most wattage, most sound in the smallest package.

So, maybe size doesn't matter.

Can't Move Just Yet

Rent is expensive. Moving to a new apartment is expensive. Moving to a whole new State across the country is very expensive; we're talking quadruple-digits (if you have found a way to circumvent this, you have my respect). So, I'll stay in Washington State just one more year (which is what I said last time). After that, I plan to move somewhere that isn't turning into California.

Anyone else having to put off plans of moving? Or, if you have moved, are you happy/better off in your new location?
