What is a Player - part 1

A player in dating is usually a person who uses their charm to emotionally manipulate others into falling in love with them. When their victim happens to fall in love, the fun ends for them: they drop the relationship and head to their next target.
For players, love is merely a game. And the way to win the game is to enter as many lives as possible and leave a string of broken hearts behind.

Will a player ever fall in love? While they may not necessarily fall in love with anyone, it is always best to live with the assumed answer that is no. Remember that for players, being in a relationship is akin to playing a game. While there is a chance they might fall in love, their interest does not lie in building a connection.

What is a player in dating
8 Signs You’re Dating a Player

It’s a rather common mistake to overgeneralize things. Indeed, players have certain attributes that cannot and should not be ignored. However, it’s important to search for the strong signs rather than blame all the people on a dating site for playing.

Take a look at these characteristics and judge people around you objectively.

1. They Come On Strong

One of the biggest attributes of a player is that they come on very strong. In other words, they’ll tell you lots and lots of sweet things, tell you outright lies, and play mind games. If you see this, don’t rush into believing they really mean everything they say.

Players come on strong because they need to charm you as quickly and efficiently as possible to have a successful booty call. It’s a severe problem if they don’t worry about the emotional intimacy most people who want from a real relationship.

2. Emotional Unavailability and No Sense of Commitment

When you go out with a player, you may notice they are emotionally unavailable. While you seem to think you’re in a serious relationship, they don’t support you. Also, they may seem unwilling to change their relationship status on social media or not meet your emotional needs

In the dating world, when you are going out with someone, you should usually feel some kind of commitment from them. However, players tend to play by their own rules and will look at relationships as games. This means they feel no need to commit to you or anyone else fully.

If you’re also into casual fun, that’s OK – but if you want something serious, you’d better avoid players.

3. You’re Doing Most (If Not All) of the Relationship Work

A healthy relationship is all about give and take. This means that you both put in the effort to try and make it work. That’s why doing most of the work in the relationship is one of the most common warning signs of a player in dating.

To get a better idea of your relationship balance, think of everything you and your partner have done together in the past year:

How many of the things happening were your initiative?
How many times were you the one to write and call first?
How many times did you say “I love you”?
How many times did they say the same?
How many times were you able to be physically intimate without it resulting in sex?
If you think about it and grow concerned about the numbers or the lack of balance, you may be dating a player. Or they are just a person who doesn’t meet your relationship needs.

4. No Consistency

You can always count on players to be consistently inconsistent:

They may keep going MIA
It’s OK for them to ignore your texts or calls
No matter what happens, they just seem to be completely over it.
When you think the relationship is over, they’ll start to love bomb and pull you back in. This leaves many women feeling confused and causes them the unnecessary pain of being heartbroken over and over again.

PETER HIGGS DIED 8th APRIL 2024

HIGGS was the scientist who believed in a substance that would enable light to be converted to matter. So, in the beginning of creation of all elements there must have been something to enable matter to be formed.
The Hadron collider confirmed the existence of such a substance and Higgs name was given to it, hence the Higgs boson.
A simple explanation, I know. A boson is a sub atomic particle.

Tax Fraud offenses...

Talking with a friend today, we discussed what are the usual penalties for tax fraud/evasions. Her response was: Prison. Remember Charles Kushner?
I pulled up some statistics and found several sites differed, but nearly the same.
The average sentence for tax fraud was 14 months.
Of that 63% went to prison.
52% were white with an average of 52 years old.
82% had no prior criminal history.
Median amount of fraud was $278,325.
11.6% involved amounts greater than $1.5 million.
Top five districts of offenders:
New Jersey, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York.

Charles Kushner, got 2 years and was jailed for tax evasion, making illegal campaign donations and tampering with a witness, his brother-in-law. He orchestrated a sex tape with a prostitute and sent it to the man’s wife. Kushner pleaded guilty in 2004 to 18 counts of tax evasion, witness tampering and making illegal campaign donations.
His confession included a retaliation against his brother-in-law, who was cooperating with federal authorities. Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce him in a hotel room with cameras, filming the encounter and sent it to his sister, the man’s wife.
He was pardoned by Donald Trump.

So, I asked the question: "Trump was found guilty of tax fraud. Why wasn't he sent to prison?"

Before Life part 1

I remember even now, after many years of life, how it all began. How my story started with a dark journey that was meant to frighten me, even though I would be safe. I don't know exactly where I came from, but I remember following a path, guided by the angel who was meant to bring me into this world. I followed with confidence, impatience, and curiosity about what my life would be like.

Shortly after our journey on the road, we arrived near a well, where I followed my angel who opened a door on one of the walls, at the foot of a bridge. We entered together through that door, which magically transported us to a kind of purgatory. It was a dark place where the angel began to shine brightly and create visibility around us. I couldn't take more than five steps before I looked around and noticed that the place was inhabited by strange creatures with heads like large turtles and bodies like a mix between tigers and some long-extinct dinosaur. The creatures had dark blue skin and large spines on their backs, pointing forward as if they were meant to protect their heads and harm anyone who came into contact with them. Their paws were like those of lizards with big, black claws. The creatures were sent there due to their wickedness and dreadful deeds, their banishment serving as a punishment from God upon them. They were destined to spend an eternity in the pitch-black void of that dark place.

The creatures seemed to be in a state of hibernation, but shortly after we arrived, while the angel walked ahead of me and I tried to keep up with him, the creatures seemed to come back to life, emitting strange sounds that gradually filled me with fear. There were more of them than I could ever count, and the angel told me not to be afraid because as long as I was with him, the creatures wouldn't touch me. We moved among them, and they slightly moved aside, as if trying to create a path for us to pass, but as soon as we passed, they closed in behind us, erasing the path they had created.

I saw them watching us, and the angel continued to encourage me and tell me not to be afraid, but my soul couldn't help but grow more and more afraid. Then, sensing the fear that overwhelmed me, the angel made my legs feel heavier. The angel began to move away slowly, taking big steps while I felt how my fear reduced my steps and made them heavier. As the angel moved away, he took with him the light created by his presence, leaving me at the mercy of the darkness that slowly began to surround me, just like those creatures.

But each day, when she walks to the sea...

But each day, when she walks to the sea, She looks straight ahead, not at he...
Lyrics from the song The Girl From Ipanema, a 1960's Brazilian Bossa Nova international hit.

It's in the song list of music I'm learning, for an upcoming gig. Rehearsals at a rate of 2 per week puts me in a pinch, as it's not enough time to comfortably learn all the arrangements and play more than one set as a trio. My cousin will duo with the guitarist and do the other 2 sets without me. No choice. it's agreed. The venue is a open bar at a restaurant and the management only wanted a duo to play low-volume anyway. I'll be introduced as a guest musician and play a few songs. We are bumping the regular entertainment... a woman who sings to pre-recorded music.

At this point, I'm expecting to carry on my day job working 2 large projects and 1 small one already on the books. I asked for a short break from sales for a few months. That didn't go as planned, three new sales leads are on my calendar.

I'll make it happen... I always do.

Cousin Joe...

Joseph was born and raised in New York City. He had a job with the government and a few years after he retired, Joe decided to sell his house and move to Florida.
Not long after, Joe started worrying about his health and took his first colonoscopy at the age of 75. They found cancer and he went through surgery. He was lucky as they removed the cancer and he needs no additional treatment.
Joe was having issues with a swollen thyroid gland and went into surgery to have it checked out. Under anesthesia, they were unable to control his blood pressure and stopped in the middle of surgery. He remained in the hospital for testing and found that 2 arteries near his heart were blocked by 80%
Open-heart surgery would have been the normal procedure, but since he already had one issue, 2 stents were the least invasive and best thing.
He's recovering and should be out of the hospital this week.
All things considered... I wish him the best and reluctant to celebrate at the 'all you can eat' sushi restaurant. Pizza may also be out of the question.
