EDELWEISS - Vol. I: The ALGORHYTHM - Beginning [II]

- Chapter I:
The ALGORHYTHM

( - )
Beginning
“I know the feeling of being alive. Divisions of glimpses within what is Reality. I have known what means to be dead whilst alive, or to have the impression of living whilst actually dying. I have been acquainted with the feeling of illness in a world in which there is no cure, except Reality. But to embrace such a Reality which surpasses human knowledge, - what price, must be paid, really?! With what price, comes such an insight, so deep that you could not even find whom to share it with, or… if there would be someone, to make an equation like one in a billion?! To what range and to what extent, the radius of circle, could expand, in further developing a spherical ensemble?! So alike, when you reach to a point in which understanding must be acquired in order to survive, but so cruel, so harsh, to realize, finally, that a dot – a simple dot, in time and space, becomes pointless if no meaning, if no reason, for its origin. For either the world is too big enough, either, it becomes smaller and smaller. Like the common saying with “nobody knows the truth because the truth is that nobody knows what truth really is” – but that is merely, an illusion of knowing, for this is particularity of how one perceives the notions. Within all these, Reality was, is and will be the same. One can not deny what’s obvious, without to live with the consequences of its own denial, and so forth, one can see, hear or feel whatever finds suitable, to its own benefit, without being concerned with what’s really going on far of its comfort zone, although will come the time to face everything when less expected, or just dealing with the facts at the right moment of time, in comprehension of Reality and its own role…
The world looks different, in times of being alive. I’m asking myself: does really the parameters of life change the way one feels?! That’s because… there are, at some point, special circumstances, in which one, aware or not, finds it way back. Or, were my personal impressions?!.. No, that can’t be right. I can distinguish, within illusions, from time to time. The little I may know, but that’s enough. I ask, finally: what difference is found in one eye looking to the world, in one ear hearing in what consists the world, in one’s heart in order to perceive within the world?..”

Name that tune... aka busking or begging?

Name that tune started as a TV game show in the 1950's where contestants competed to correctly identify songs. It had gone through changes over the years, but the main part of the game had contestants stating the lowest number of notes to be played for them to identify the song. The host would then say "Name that tune."

In my travels this morning, I came to an exit on the highway where street beggars would usually stand on the corner holding signs usually stating they are homeless, some actually saying they were willing to work for food. Today, it was somewhat different. Technically, he was a beggar, but he came with a guitar and portable amplifier.

The thought came across my mind...is he a beggar or a street musician busking?
He was mumbling and I couldn't guess what song he was playing, but I considered his status as a busker and not a beggar.
I reached into my pocket and pulled out a $5 bill, folded it and when the light changed to green, I was able to roll the window down, move up, and handed it to the guy.

Five bucks is enough for breakfast at McDonalds.

Can you say Beyond-say...

For years, I've avoided entertainment awards shows for various reasons. Sometimes it's the politics in the business, sometimes a case of who you blow or who you know and not the actual talent you have. Always, and I mean always, there are disappointments and hurt feelings, especially from the losers.

What was it... less than 2 weeks ago, there was another show and while accepting an award for Dr. Dre, Jay-Z (Beyoncé's husband) decides to use his time in the spotlight to slam the Grammy's because she didn't receive an award for album of the year.

In her career, Beyoncé has raked up 32 Grammy's and holds the record. The two of them combined have 56 wins.

I read some reader reviews and that his action didn't sit well with her fans. Simply put... Beyoncé's last album wasn't considered good enough for an award.

Jay-Z, that's embarrassing... stop your crying!

Put it in writing...

I'm working on the final installations for a project that started nearly a year ago.
It's been a struggle as the designer and contractor are working with me for a nice, but difficult client. It's an extreme renovation to a 40 year old mansion located on the coast, but it had severe water damage.
My first visit revealed walls cut open to treat for mildew, machines to dry the moisture between the walls and strong chemicals sprayed in attics, crawl spaces and all the areas affected by the water.

I got the contract for built-in units that include bathroom vanities, laundry, bar, butler's pantry and mud room. That went through. After, I was invited to bid closets and wardrobe units. I got that part added under a separate contract. Closets should be easy... but it turned out to be the hardest part of the project, as the client specified ultra details that took several rounds of drawing changes before she would approve production.

The client/designer ordered the hardware (handles) late delaying the installation. I did a walk through with the client and installer to go over the locations of the handles. It didn't appear that anything unusual would happen, but the client did an inspection after the hardware was installed and made a list of complaints.

Her email was copied to everyone in the team. She's out of town and only comes a few times a month to see the progress. I met the contractor this morning to address the issues stated in her email. No big deal. The installed mis-drilled a hole for a handle in one door, patched it and it's only visible when you look at the back of the door. That needs to be replaced. She and my installer agreed to the placement of the hardware, a specific distance from the edge of all the doors that was centered between the width of the 2-1/2" perimeter moulding. The master bath and guest bath doors have a wider moulding. It's 3" so the installer put the hardware in the middle of the space of those doors and the client complained because it's 1/4" different that the discussion of the other doors. Now she wants us to replace those doors.

The contractor & designer and I agree we installed them in the correct location. To use the dimension for the other doors would be wrong. All the instructions were verbal as we stood there holding hardware on the doors to agree the location. I'm now going to put in writing to explain why we did what we and hopefully, she will accept it.

Speaking of things in writing... There is a comment on a current forum thread asking who invited protesters on January 6th and was it in writing?
The answer is yes. @therealdonaldtrump did so on December 26. It's documented and part of a Twitter archive:
"The ‘Justice’ Department and the FBI have done nothing about the 2020 Presidential Election Voter Fraud, the biggest SCAM in our nation’s history, despite overwhelming evidence. They should be ashamed. History will remember. Never give up. See everyone in D.C. on January 6th."

Sometimes, when you put things in writing, it comes back to implicate you in an insurrection. But... that's the topic for another blog!

Just a little pinch she said...

More than a year ago I was having some pain to a molar that previously had a root canal and crowned. The dentist took an x-ray and found nothing. The recommendation was maintenance, so the hygienist did a deep clean and applied a thick paste into the gum line that I wasn't to brush out for 48 hours. I'm not sure of the name of the product, but it has some antiseptic properties and the pain subsided.

The problem appears to have returned as I'm getting sensitivity to pressure (I cannot chew gum or it aggravates the condition) and slight pain from cold, so I no longer put ice cubes in my mouth.

I'm with a different dentist now and explained my dental history. She took x-rays and couldn't find any infection or cause for the pain. The recommendation was (another) deep cleaning. Unlike the previous maintenance that only required the area to be desensitized, this one required full Novocaine injections.
As long as I'm in the chair, shouldn't we do both sides?
Okay, she replied.
It's amazing how they describe getting a needle as a 'little pinch' when they are going all the way to the back... the area that shuts off all sensation to the front of the jaw.
I said "Why do you call it pinch when it's much more than that?"
She said "Should I call it harpoon?"
I replied, "Yeah, that's more appropriate."
4 injections, 30 minute wait, 30 minutes of digging, scraping and cavatron followed by an antiseptic rinse, I was done.
My entire lips and jaw area was numb for more than 2-1/2 hours.

I didn't follow instructions about not eating until the numbness wears off and the bite on the inside of my cheek should be gone in a few days!

While I was uncomfortably numb, I went home to play comfortably numb.

WYSIWYG...

Pronounced WIZ-ee-wig, WYSIWYG is an acronym for What You See Is What You Get. I recall this started around the 2nd generation of text editors and website creation tools. Prior to this, programmers had to use extensive codes then run the program to actually check the visual or printed appearance. It was back and forth checking, adjusting and rechecking to make sure the formatted output appeared as intended.
Since it's become normal for website designs, The acronym WYSIWYG doesn't get discussed much. Tonight it appeared on a fashion modeling website as some of the images were large and the site designer had to dynamically shrink the images to fit.

I have see it on profiles were the person lists their profile photos as WYSIWYG. No surprises as What You See Is What You Get.

Believing in the text of old books?

Religions are created to give uneducated people an explanation for the questions they should not ask themselves.
It is a matter of knowledge and clear thinking.

They ( the religious leaders) just tell us the parts they want people to know and repeat them endlessly, that is the basic of a brainwash, right.
What about all the other , contradictional parts that are never talked about, what about the missing books in the present bible?
What about the contradictional texts, the lack of historical facts, the misinterpretation of geology.
The lack of hard facts.
The way the books are written makes every text open for a various interpretation.
What makes it even more confusing.

The books are composed of various stories and texts, and re-re-re-written thousants of times in the last 1500 years.
There is no verification of any text, possible.
and you can imagine, how many times the texts are adapted and changed, because of the personal opinions of somebody.

People, question all they have been teaching/brainwashed you with.
Be critical, the texts were written in a time with a very very limited knowledge about all things.

The criminal part is, that the pollute children's minds with things they cannot verify or prove themselves.. And create a narrow minded generation.....
It that what we want?

An Ancient frog species named after Kermit the Frog by scientists

Kermit the Frog has been around since 1955 – but a new Kermit on the block was actually around much longer ago.

Scientists have uncovered a fossil of an ancient 270-million-year-old amphibian ancestor, and named it after him.

If you always wanted to be a Space Cadet...

Maybe when you were younger, you wanted to be a Space Cadet. Don't despair... You still have a chance as NASA is taking applications! While the odds are slim, you have to be a U.S. citizen and you must pass the astronaut physical exam.
There is no age limit or 20/20 vision requirement and don't worry that NASA set a high bar for education.
They are looking for applicants with a master’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, followed by at least three years of related professional experience.
I'm sure (for a price) you can find someone on the dark web who can print your diploma and a tech company to vouch for your employment.

“The trip to Mars is six to nine months,” he said. “You’re going to be away from familiar for more than a year, one to three years. Are you really ready for that?”
