This isn't a poem, but I just wanted to share my experience with you, as it was so special. (I had wondered if the lights that I had seen being launched off the distant hills were perhaps people in hang gliders, but a friend suggested that they could have been Chinese lanterns being launched to celebrate the new year- I guess I will never know, and I kind of like it that way).
