Garage Sales

What will I see
When I get to the garage sales
I took a trip to Lancaster
About 17 miles from Platteville, Wisconsin
I saw this house, shed and car covered in words
I stopped to see what he had written
I could only stay for a short while as he came out with his dog
He doesn't like the president or dumb people
So I get to my first garage sale
The woman remembered me buying tapes a few years ago
I told her one tape of Shania Twain broke my tape player
Cost me 270 bucks to fix it
I bought some golf balls
A book about 10 men that will ruin your life
A stuffed snowman with a throw blanket
A chippette doll
A Darth Vader mask
Both for my great niece and nephew
A book about memorable moments on tv from All In The Family
To sports and other stories like the OJ Trial
A DVD on Ernest in the Army
Lots of fun people to meet
You just never know what you will find

About this poem:
Was lucky to have off work so I could go garage saling, hopefully next week will be the same as Platteville has their city wide garage sales.

Leo - Star Sign Challenge

Like the sun that shines oh so brightly
You’ll never mistake her for when she struts around.
You’ve heard of a feisty cat, a royalty
In the middle of the spotlight there she can be found.

Don’t be deceived by her femininity and wit
For she definitely can hunt you down no doubt about it
Territorial and hot tempered
Acknowledge her beauty and reign, she will be flattered.

This queen of the jungle is your boss
But don’t be deterred for she’s caring and kind
Disregard her warmth and loyalty, it’s your loss
Another her, nowhere you can find.

All she wants is to be treated well - gold, diamonds, and pearl
Be vivacious for she despises a bore
Your best bib and tucker plus some regal flair
Will earn you a majestic lioness’ roar.

"Baking"

Much spade has been dug
not to lay a body

but lay words of maybe a poet?
sifting through the remnants
gathering the now

throwing the words
ah, such words,

a transiant world we live
some of round floors
some of the open earth

the clock of time does not tick
one just knows
the momentum

the quill
can lay still
good

a mirror of reflection

All at times can be still

a wonder of restlessness
can beautifully awake

the poet
shall always be there
like a missing cookbook

I thought I knew how to knead those scones.

Hey I kneaded them my way

lol

Ten Years Down the Line

The saddest of all days
is when a friend leaves
you know they have to
that its time for them
to spread their wing
and try things anew
you know for a while
they will keep in touch
but as the months pass
so does the contact lessen
its not meant that way
just life moving on
new things to do and see
new friends to share
the silly things with
leaving you thinking
ten years down the line
whatever happened
we were such friends

air conditioner

Air conditioner keep me cool
Save me from humidity
Air conitioner in my bedroom window
Help in fast with strip of duct tape
Air conditioner cost me 250 bucks
I installed it May 16
Air conitioner you will last
Till Halloween season on October 15
Air conditioner will have to be taken down
Mother nature will provide the cool temperature till next May
Air conditioner in my car
Keeping out the bugs and the heat
Air conditioner I'm so proud
But why do you have to be so loud?

About this poem:
Another invention I am really glad I can afford. I love my air conditioner in my apartment and car. Thankfully I still have one in my car so I can keep the windows always rolled up to keep the bugs out and my ability to sing without disturbing anyone. This morning I sang to Madonna's La Isla Bonita, Susan Vega's Tom's Diner, and Whitney Houston's Greatest Love of All.

Rain on a Sunday Morning

The rain
on a Sunday morning
remind me of the times
we spent together
in bed while the rain falls
steadily beating its own music
We were in our own world

We lazed around quietly
laughing
touching
kissing

kisses sweet
nectar of the soul
passionate
learning that oh so right spot
to touch and
caress

As you whisper
Sweet nothings of love
The touch of your fingers
Softly
Writing your name dreamily
across my bare back
branding me yours
entices my captured breath
to escape
I breathe your name

you reach my thighs
then you tenderly
take me to new heights

Oh how I wish it wouldn't rain

Do you know?

do you know...
do you know what pefume i like and wear, and if i like flowers or spice?
do you know what colour i wear on my toenails, and if i wear red lipstick i feel like flirting and it gives me courage, and if i wear pink i want to be soft and quiet?
do you know what movies make me cry, and why?
do you know what time of the month i get emotional and bleed, and do you understand?
do you know what inspires me, or moves me, or makes me laugh, what makes me want to be better?
do you know the woman inside, the girl who wants to be held for nothing, cuddled and told she's safe no matter what?
do you know my dreams and goals, and who in my family makes me sad?
do you know if i sit in the corner in the dark and never believe i will be found, and if i feel like i will always be the good friend and never the one someone wants more?
do you know if i always back off and think others are more important, and try to understand the ache inside, why i am incomplete, and why i am scared to trust too quickly?
or......do you just know, how i can be made to moan and writh in ecstasy, how i love to be touched, how i would look when i am at the hight of passion?
my s*xual feelings and what i like?
or.......do you know or want to know, all of the above?

if you do then you are a Man worth knowing...

IS THERE A REASON!!!!

Is there a reason........
Why birds fly,
Babies die,
Mothers cry
Humans lie?

Is there a reason.........
Why girls remain shy,
Boys think they are fly
Politicians are sly
Or society barely get by?

Is there are reason........
Why the poor are hungry,
The rich are angry
The world is full of anarchy
I was not born an Iraqi?

Is there a reason..........
Judges can be bought,
Wars are fought,
Hatred is taught,
Or fortune is sought?

Really is there a reason...
For each little season,
The practice of treason,
Illicit liaison
And even women who are brazen?

Video Games

Made a purchase yesterday
Spent 85 and change
I got a system that plays my old nintendo and sega games
I had a sega system I got back in 1995
It cost me 70 and came with Mortal Kombat
I had it till I accidentally broke it
I flopped on my waterbed and it fell off and broke
I had it till a year ago
The nintendo I bought back in 2003 when the video store closed
I have games that date back to the late 1980's
I play playstation, playstation 2, and Xbox games too
If I had to pick my favorite game from Nintendo
It would be Mike Tyson's Punchout
If I had to pick my favorite game from Sega
It would be Ms. Pacman
I have cheats for each that make it more fun
I can go really fast in Ms. Pacman and make the board small
I can punch really hard in Mike Tyson's Punchout
I really love my video games
I have been playing them since 1981
Now I just spend less quarters

About this poem:
Video games have come a long way since Pong came out in the late 70's. I have spent a good number of my free hours playing them. I have two tvs in my living room. One to watch dvds, vhs' and tv, and the other to play video games. Sometimes I'll listen to my music on my Xbox jukebox that holds 100 albums. I mostly have favorite songs on there.

Trust

do you ever hear your name being called

turn to find the source is no where at all

just another case of the unexplained

just another makings of some cantrip

do you ever find you're shaking inside

your hands seem to work without rhyme or guide

a bundle of nerves with no where to go

good or bad destination is not known

do you ever feel that one is close by

yet you don't know them and you wonder why

to know the end before the book is read

yet you keep reading turning page by page

have you ever rode the tides of the wind

not caring where it blows trusting the end
