To Old Friend

This is to you, old friend, good-bye,
farewell I say,
I know it’s sad, we’ve gone through much
with every day,
So many obstacles were in the way, kept us apart,
it‘s age
And time of course, and distance great,
the least to say.
So many hindrances there were to add
to our daily stress.
Our lives will dwindle now apart in strife
and total waste.
I’ve nothing special to add to farewell,
have nothing else to say, except be well!

~Try a little honesty~

Well, you say that you're not sure..
if you really are in love,
or if you ever were..
you think you've got it all figured out..
all those times I kind of guessed that
you were looking for a way out..
and so you got it..
got just what you wanted..
didn't have to paint me a picture
but you had to go and flaunt it..
So it is what it is...
and that's what it will be..
didnt have to go to such lengths
just to be rid of me..
and now whose paying, the price,
well baby it's not me...
guess that's the price you paid..
to be set free.
Why don't you try a little honesty..
see what it does for you..
cut out your lying tongue and see things
the way they were,
and let the truth set you free..
try a little honesty.

You say you don't remember..
you say that you don't recall..
The way that you hurt me,
and for that you'll take the fall..
If only you took half the blame ,
well that's better than nothing at all.. '
Tried to tell you,
but nobody can tell you anything,
It always has to be your way,
or no way at all.

You should try a little honesty..
see if that don't get you somewhere.
try a little honesty....
you would have if you cared..
Try a little honesty.
the next time around..
But don't come looking for me,
because now I'm lost and can't be found.

The Alchemist...

The ‘shadows grow long’, youthful zest wanes,
Dreams are dimming, the Abyss is yawning ever wider,
Smiles have retired,
And, Meaning, like some elusive chimera, fades fast...

Nothingness is longed for,
Enough of pain,
Enough of angst-filled fear,
Enough of hollow tomorrows...

All his life, the Alchemist has worked his magic to transmute the leaden shackles of others into golden, scintillating freedoms,
But, how is he going to free himself?
When he longs to grasp the Ferryman’s hand, whether it leads to Nirvana or to Hades?

Amidst all this, appears yet another suffering soul before him,
Entreating him to free her,
She’s in a sorry state,
Although strong in body,
Eyes are drooping,
Desire is all but dead,
Hope has eloped,
Youthful joy has turned to a senses-dulling dread...

Sighing, like an old and dying lion of the desert, way past its prime, life’s essence long drained out of him,
The Alchemist musters his craft once more,
Like a worn-out dervish,
He begins the dance which entices innocents to join in...

Slowly but surely, she joins in,
Her youthful body moves in ways that would have sparked the Alchemist’s desire in times past,
Now, he only dances,
Vigorously outwardly,
Whilst within, his inner child is weeping softly and disconsolately...

Finally, the job is done,
The sparkle has once again returned to her eyes,
Her shoulders are humming in tune with the rhythm,
She’s once again the Siren she’s used to being...

But, what of the Alchemist?
He’s treading water,
He’s laughing at the terror that engulfs him,
Within, within though,
The inner-child awaits more hollow tomorrows...

i want to go home

where is my mom?
i want to go home.
Everyone gone,
i want to go home.

where are my friends ?
i want to go home,
why am i alone?
i want to go home,

where is my dog?
i want to go home,
just where am I?
i want to go home.

i am cold and hungry.
i want to go home,
i miss my family,
i want to go home.

who are you ?
reading my poem,
dont leave me alone,
i want to go home !

Cupid and Psyche how it came about (acrostic)

C omeliest of maidens
Upon your beauty
People stared in awe
It's not surprising
Deep Cupid fell when
Arrow pierced his foot
Now Venus grew angry
Did not like this
Pass in the least
She cursed her
Your fate a monster
Come you to wed
How did Cupid stop this
Easy he told Jupiter
He ordered Venus cease
In peace and harmony
Cupid and Psyche lived
Always will true love win

Memory Lane (sonnet)

Take a walk today down memories lane
what is it that you remember the most
is it the childhood memories of Spain
maybe the first time you went to the coast

into the waves you ran without a care
dancing and tumbling you played carelessly
drifting out to sea you had a big scare
when saved your mother grasped you tightly

or could it be the day you fell in love
all starry eyed remembering that kiss
like a shooting star falling from above
never had experienced such bliss

memories last a lifetime don't fade
reminiscences can not be mislaid

Old Age

when I was young I could run a mile
now I watch the track with a smile
these legs are not like before
in fact they feel quite sore
folks say it's a stage
it's the last page
it is called
the old
age

Dancing tango.

Under the moon of madness we dancing tango,
,
Chilling on the peer drinking beer

Drunk on the crest of a wave my dancing heart,

Your eyes smiling my reflection I was lost in them from the start,

Your sea of passion ,wild and free
,
Your just like me,

It wasn't meant to be,

We were dancing tango under the moon of madness,

Reflecting its sadness

On two soul mates

Who dared to dance ,

They never left the shore ,

The Other Me

Embedded image from another site

She is naughty,
She is nice,
She is a mix of rum
With a dash of spice...
Intoxicating and heady,
She could also be quite crazy,
Daring and adventurous,
She is no cowering mouse...
Zipping over trees,
Surfing on open seas,
Cruising on a motorcycle,
Should see her operate a kayak and
paddle...
Teasing and laughing
Always bubbling
Better than a vintage
Champagne...
Sarcastic sometimes,
Cruel never,
Loyal but fierce
Heart full of kindness...
Generous and sensitive,
Crying for puppies, kittens and
Movies,
Could scarce say no to a sad story...
This is the other me
The me that is hidden carefully....
The me I wish you'd see.

Rush or Crush... (in a maddening world)

Rush is the word
Brush aside left or right
Rush is next to you, all the time
All in a moment work is done ...rush rush rush!

Crush is the word
Touch a moment feel the emotion
Crush is what you feel, all the time
All in a moment everything is lost ...crush crush crush!

Rush or crush it is the same
Brush or touch a moment and feel the same
Muddled would you feel, all the time
All is gone in a moment, rush, crush, rush, crush!
