Night

The moon has waxed and waned.....
Again and again I watch.....
Revolutions through the night sky.

Pondering...questioning...crying..laughing...
The knowledge is there...
Yet, I cannot bring myself to learn....the fear.

Winter Evening

Cold,silent dusk
Gold tints west,
Birds fly to rest.

Steaming broth
Warms the insides
Cosy evening fire burns.

Nostalgia takes over,
Sweet & bitter plays
The scenes on blank wall

Wintry days,silence reigns
Brings to mind
Sweetness or sadness.

About this poem:
Just sweet & sad thoughts of home fill my mind as I sit alone looking out of the window, watching the few sparrows braving the cold ( past their bed time ) to eat the crumbs.

Between waking and sleeping

I'm afraid,
between waking up and sleeping
I will lose myself in desires.
That you will disappear
before sunrise.
Sleep is not a place
everyday life.
I'm afraid
longing for an unknown longing
I know well
reality of existence.
I'm afraid to be afraid
my feelings
leave without knowing how
taste your lips.

The Dragonfly

Once a beautiful thing so free and open, the wind lifting her wings into the air.

She's curled up on a pile of sand, the space in her back for the key is empty and a hole remains.

The key forever in His hands.

Attraction

Our eyes met;
Melded together.
Then I blushed.

Song written in spring

Find the content and life of your meaning
Flourish with each day at sunrise.
Enjoy the drops of morning mist
And dancing among the grass feel free.
Hear the bird singing somewhere in the branches
Grab the rainbow of colors and close it in your hands.
Forget there are bad times
And we have power within us, which anger will overcome.

Enjoy when the first rain falls
Listen to the melody of the drops
Let the wind entwine in your hair, let them dance too.

I want to find you in my journey
And take a fairy tale with you somewhere.
Open the door only known to me
Lead you into my world, the world of imagination.
I want to traverse these fairy-tale countries
Stay longer at the station - love
And to know that this is not just a dream
That you are close to me and the future with you.

1920's haiku

By sand drift and sea
a girl in bright feathered green
Gatsby and champagne

Lend me your cloche
flappers dancing the Charleston
jazz and etiquette

tennis racquet times
romance in the Duesenberg
picnic on the Sound

The old town

All quiet the light of the old town
earthern rusted verandahs
iron balustraded conversations
of men of youthful daring
long forgotten
sons lost to the sea

Of hooves and parades and produce filled wagons
of wild-eyed dogs in the doorways of an afternoon

All this held fast in the silence of old men
who hobble in the winding lanes of the cobbled night

HEARTSTRINGS......

When heartstrings pull, can you ignore
You may try, but like a swinging door
Flashes of memory, creep through
Whenever allowed, never on cue

Stirring emotions, you can't push away
Something will trigger, on another day
Until you accept, you must spend time
Sifting options, bringing powerful signs

Stored memories, buried once before
Knowing each creak, from a swinging door
Takes you back to a place, you once knew
The sounds -smells-tastes, aren't new

Reminders of that time, you miss
Like missing touch or friendly kiss
Once comforting, now able to stir
Emotional memories , that you can lure......

About this poem:
A fish hook may be tiny, but once it takes hold it can become a powerful tool to trap and hold......just like memories acting with heartstring........

Death is a gift

Sometime ago...
Don't remember when...
I tried to end myself...

Almost succeded...
But outside intervention prevented
my goal to be fullfilled.

I was brought back
Against my will
To a world and to a life I did not chose.
And for which i do not care.

For the few minutes I was down
I was truly happy
Wherever I was
Between this world and the other one
I was happy, content.
I knew everyone I cared about was allright.

Is this loud and bright world
that is true hell for me.
THIS is hell.
