Ode to Canada.

Full many a native flower here I've seen,
nestled beneath your Mountain's lush green
that breathes each breath of scent laden air,
to daily wash the hours, with unrivaled care,
cavorting clouds float here, without flaws,
like yon oceanic waves that constant roll,
that's fortune favoured beyond Man's vain control,
answering alone to Heaven's pious laws,
thus privileged scan sunsets rejoicing sky,
amplifying realms of proud nurtured liberty,
cherished Maple, heralded, flying high, espy
your forests deep where night birds sing
their overtures, like Angelic Harps finest string,
captures poetic harmonies, each note combine
soft Lydian Airs, perpetuating symphonic Spring,
thus with unfettered stride strolled thy haloed sod
of sculptured avenues, carved by an unseen God
that promotes national Pride, wrapt in facets Holy,
such unsullied joy, far beyond the ways of folly,
all live here amid the corridors of contented quietude,
unknown to spoils of war or its cruel feud,
nor seek cunning paths or Vixen's stealth,
riches of the heart, us but thy exclusive wealth.

Kisses!

Kisses!
To Kiss and hold your baby tenderly
As it greets the world with it’s new born wondrous cry

To Kiss your child as it grow up in life
A Kiss of pride as they find a husband or a wife

To kiss your family as they kiss you
Oh! What a wonderful thing to do!

To kiss a friend as you first meet
whether at the door or on the street

To Kiss the song of love to someone
that was special ~ granted to you from above

Someone that you were meant to love

To Kiss and hold your lover passionately
Especially when that someone special might be me

To kiss a loved one’s memory when
they die

It’s filled with Love but it cannot stop a painful cry!

For all you good people out their in poet land

Kisses for you because I think you’re grand!

My dying Orpheus

To be chased amongst the waves
to only pray the sands are near

dripping souls so wasted
within the wreck
of booms
silently folding to the sea

the roar of untimed

curses melting to the weed

no silent stay
would be upon

the wretched gulping
water to breath

of shoes a lonely float
glistening rings

befell
the journey
to the bar

of grasping sands

train wreck sounds
hollow the squalls

which man shall be succumbed
slipping creaking

I looked

no floating cargo
but smashed and lonely

winds carried me away

The west called
amongst the bush i crawled

a silent cargo
i stayed
I built
I never forgot

and here I shall

live amongst my plot

This Moment

No, tomorrow's no yesterdays.
Just this moment. Me here alone.
Nothing standing in the way.
All the bad seems to be gone.
Just the breeze brushing my face.
And the sun bringing me to life.
All the negativity seems erased.
And the world is mine once more.

Does the sky seem like the perfect blue?
And the grass and trees a luscious green.
It makes me forget about losing you.
And life is once more mine it seems.
Just the sounds of everyday.
Passing by outside.
Makes me not want to stay.
So I leave the inside.
To greet the world with a smile.

Don't it feel good to not run.
To simply have a chance.
To be able to survive.
And still want to dance.
The wind and the sun,
The feeling of life begun.
Makes it all worth while.
Going to greet this world with a smile.
And keep living life in style.

^*^*^*^*^ Is Silence a Sound ^*^*^*^*^

The house is so silent, no men, no kids, no pets
Four walls to listen to the sound of my regrets
My memories they linger when I close my eyes
Those wonderful days when I was so wise
The cry of a baby, the sound of the door
The cats, the dogs, the children
Running round the floor
All of them gone now, the house is so still
I turn up the music the silence to kill
My friends and my lovers no longer around
I look at the phone it makes never a sound
But all is not lost from my hopes and my dreams
I sometimes imagine some magical schemes
Of places to go to and great food to eat
Of wonderful lovers and people to meet
So silence abounds but for only a while
And if I try very hard I can muster a smile
Is silence a sound or a feeling inside?
Tell me, I'll listen with my eyes open wide.....

Train Journey

The train left the station
to England the south west
the scenery and journey
must rank amongst the best
through devon into cornwall
she sped along that day
journey that would through
dawlish and its bay
the red cliff clay
exposed to view
neath the grass on top
it was the very
kind of place
one would just
love to stop
but the engine
in rythymic sounds
the rails upon the track
and all i ever saw
of dawlish bay
was when i did look back
the train rolled on past
the deep blue sea
beside the longer shore
tunnels welcomed
us as well
as if not be undone
and when we had entered
we lost that smiling sun
soon out we sped along
this paradise by the sea
glimpses of yesterday today
as i watched it on dvd
bringing back the memories
of a 1960s teen
travelling the south west
to dawlish and a dream.

The Mystic Pyramid

In ancient times the Egyptian, Aztec and many
others cultures used large stone pyramids as
burial places for the Pharoahs and Kings. The
sandstone pyramids where used to store gold

and the riches of their culture, the pyramid
was a tomb of sorts that had unusual power,
food could be stored there for ages without
going bad as the pyramid's construction had

a source of power which people believed had
come from the gods, even to this day you hear
of 'Pyramid Power' and it's ability to preserve
food and many other unexplained things.

Winter's Knocking

Winter‘s Knocking!

Tis a fact, winter's knocking on our door!

Soon all the rustic golden fallen leaves
will be replaced by the white crispy
sparkling fairy crystals that winter's
scenes are painted with!

Dancing, swirling flakes, the nymphs of the Ice Queen
entourage will soon appear.

Silvery feathers artistically floating in the air,
dusting particles of their un-tread whiteness
of virgin fluffy snow upon the ground.

Awaiting nature's bird & animal kingdom’s footprints to paint
their presence in "Winter's Fantasy Garden".

Oh! How I wish I could once again tramp it's snow drifts
and tread upon it's beauty!

Oh! To walk among it's wondrous icy kingdom again,
but alas creeping age has introduced me to
the handi-cap cane & walker!

Now I gaze upon it's beauty thru the picture window
of life gone bye!

Remember Gram

I think of an apple-cheeked old lady
Skin as smooth and pink as any schoolgirl
Home cooking that cure any malady
A black straw sailor’s hat and string of pearls

Doing dishes always with apron slung
No words of gossip from your lips would sling
Pointing out our shortcomings terse words flung
But ready chuckle took away their sting

You hated flies above all things unclean
A steady fly swatter was your scepter
Angels best keep their wing feathers well preened
And keep the pearly gates all aglitter

Might the path leading away from the past
Be always swept clean right after breakfast
