what in the world?

check your emotions at the door, ladies and gentlemen
you are about to embark on a journey
fastly, you will be among others
from all corners of the world
words will be processed and set before you
how you interpret and deal with those words may seem to be personal
and the whole wide world is watching
so......
relax, it's not really personal
merely words on a screen
so, again, laugh, sing, do the cha cha cha....
join in and dance
roll with the waves
keep your head above water...and
you will forever ride the perfect wave...

Nothin' Such I Love So Much

A spring sun rises
O’er ancient hills
Painted green and yellow
Down in the hollow fills
Up over the rills
Opens buddin' leaves
Awaken singing birds
Stirring folded petals
Of sleeping tulips anew
Still dripping fresh dew
Invites me to my garden
To drink a breakfast tea
Thinking of nothin' such
I love so much

honestly...

The pull is sronger now, ive aged just like preference of my drug of choice.
The numb, the feeling of ignorance, the bar stool man, the drunker he gets, the louder the voice,
The internet’s changed me, it is not the pub and silence now goes there,
No, its social media, its plenty of fish or connecting singles that they should beware,
Heroin I wont touch but ive done the rest, truth is, one likes but f*ck it, arseholes blame society
Some f*ck heads blame the area, then blame creed, color with no sense of morality,
It’s the them and those….watching the rain come down my bedroom wall,
The driblets…the pans catching it and some plastic, its some photos id like to show you all

Asphalt Jungle

The metalic snake, so long and sleek
races along its trail
Predestined tracks it is cursed to follow
And follow it does,
beside roads riddled with mirage waters
Puddles that shine then flee
under the hot ember in the sky
The dusty ground tells sad stories to the sky
Hoping that it may conjure tears to fall
and wet its cracked skin
Black dried out piece of rubber
Once upon a time it helped a Chrysler travel this road
Till the rubber loss grip
and caused the whole journey to come to a halt,
leaving a well dressed man to wonder
and become a meal to the unforgiving wilderness

shy girl shy guy

Saw you standing there
quiet and lonely girl
eyes met
a smile came too
hello
how are you

Simple introductions
are the best
talk softly
shyness is not easy
too
overcome at all

Two lives at a distance
maybe friends
who can tell
when you left
on that evening
all was not well

Someone's careless words
made you uneasy
i could see the hurt
lying
in your eyes
that night

Maybe you saw
maybe you knew
shyness and pain
but you are not alone
i am just like you
lonely shy guy too.

About this poem:
This is a parody of We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel. I made this list from a Billboard Top 40 book I have, and my own enjoyment of some awesome music during that decade and since. I hope you find some good music in this list.

I Remember

Every day one minute is a memory
of seconds gone by

Tho bright the stars,
willful damage can
serpentine to a lie

On arms of carnage
yet deeper
wrapping of the
soul

One new bell
shall always toll

Slipping silently
through
the newest day

my memories
crept up
dug in
pebbled

to always lay

Washed with streams
of hidden treasure

Love has
no soldered
leisure

It shall be
and leave
to caress

streams too fast
for any I guess

Footprints In My Mind

You left a mark , a mark behind
Like a footprint in my mind
A clear imprint that i can see
Reminding me of what you were to me

Its amazingly clear an precise
This footprint has its own device
For i can't seem to rub it out
It just wants to hang about

It pastes a smile on my face
This footprint i can't replace
The depth of which has clarity
For i wonder what this to be

It makes me want to turn around
This footprint that keeps you around
To seek you out an ask of thee
Why does this footprint bother me

But as you've moved on with life
An soon to be a husbands wife
This footprint i will have to reap
To keep me company as i sleep

Revel In The Journey

Weaned atop the withers of his mama's favorite mare
Cried salty tears until the ride won out

Schooled deep in the saddle
On a two-eyed colt of dad's
Both teachers echoed
Clear what life's about

Revel in the journey
Ride hard, forget the end
Life ain't about the dying
It's the getting there my friend

Tested alongside cowpunchers
Whose lessons worth not looms on paper
But is written in the grasses where they ride

Graduate of hard work
Carving character with sweat
Now one of them
His tutor has died

Diploma smells of leather
Earned justly with a rope
Courageous and undaunted in the saddle

Sheepskin seldom blemished
With the prideful ways of men
Whose bankroll alone
Can prove near fatal

Revel in the journey
Ride hard, forget the end
Life ain't about the dyin'
It's the getting there my friend.

* * *

When February's tapping at the window pane,
When distance is obscure from raging snow,
I so regret that miracle won’t happen then,
That neither joy, nor sorrow is to ever fly
In through my window like a freezing bird.

And it is snowing. Snowstorm's ripping wild.
And time is creeping on. The night's so dark ...
I am so sorry, truly so, my faithful wife,
For such a thirst in me to fall again in love!
