December, December!

Its’s December, it’s December,
Oh, no longer am I helper
For the last leaf trembling on the branch…

I’m still looking for your address
On autumnal yellow freeways,
Soon may snow of white sorrow begin …

Oh, this winter will go by,
Wind in soul then will subside,
But I’ll still be crazy missing you,

For again March’ll come in due time,
And cyclamens strewn on hillside
It will pick and toss up into air…

Michael Jackson's Birthday

August 29
Michael Jackson's Birthday
He was born in 1958 in Gary, Indiana
He was it back in 1983 moonwalking and exciting people
I bought his album Thriller
He has had so many good songs
His first number one single as a solo artist was Ben
He had Janet Jackson sing on his song PYT (Pretty Young Thing)
"PYT's repeat after me sing La La La (la la la)"
Man in the Mirror was my favorite off his Bad album
Black or White was the best off the Dangerous album
History had a touching song "You Are Not Alone"
They say if you want to be professional at something
It takes three hours a day
Michael was said to take around 10 hours a day
Practicing his dance moves and singing
It is a shame his music didn't play on the radio till after he died
Now he is remembered for his great work
His great love of his fans
His great spirit

About this poem:
Watched a documentary on Michael Jackson and just am still in awe of his contribution to music and dance. He will truly never die as his music lives on forever.

Old Age

when I was young I could run a mile
now I watch the track with a smile
these legs are not like before
in fact they feel quite sore
folks say it's a stage
it's the last page
it is called
the old
age

The Autumn Affect

Embedded image from another site

There's something unspecific about the autumn nights
A certain shade of color that uplifts my inner child's eyes
Beside a cashmere moon Venus and Jupiter shine bright
Complimented by a sea of blinking infinite twilight
The scent of burning oak lingers in the air from home made fires
Reminiscent of a time when this man was just a child
Careless and so free to dream and any dream to live
Like feathers floating across a field carried by the wind
As a gentle breeze blows through the leaves shivering delightful gloom
Unlike flowers of springtime the disheveled autumn vibrance bloom
Leaves crackle beneath my feet along the skeleton tree path
Where I try to find my peace or a song to make me laugh
The air is so much crisper and also soothing when I breathe it in
Underneath a starry sky and brighter constellations of Heaven
Amidst the trail I pass a lovely couple holding hands
While their children run aside frolicking in a playful dance
An old man and his wife admire the view from a wooden bench
With smiles on their face as if nostalgia is still their closest friend
Its these specific autumn affects that bring me sorrows and joy
Reminding me of all theses things Ive wanted as a man since I was a little boy
Its times like these that I wish I wasn't always so alone
Because I would light an fire with my family and call it home

Renewed

Pounding of the nails sealing for all time

Idle fascination is it a crime

Noise of children at play mirrored sounds

Old man silenced who was well past his prime

Still upon the ground barely breathing bird

Twisted wounded broken wing still can fly

Wind gently blowing bringing back to life

Soaring back to life leaving behind cry

A circle no ending no beginning

Rain producing rainbows for all to see

Peace love happiness is yours if you want

Life projects what you give is what you be

A closing of the door a brand new start

Loving life with a clean pureness of heart

Two’s Company, Three’s a Crowd

The two – they feel always so fine,
Languish softly in each other’s arms,
Thinking not what by chance may become
Of the third odd-man-out left behind.

Oh wherever they go they can hear
Birds that sing to the beat of their hearts,
While the third rustles lonesome in rear
As a branch that's been tossed to the grass.

Oh they never will guess till it blossoms
How the winds that branch fiercely cast,
But, oh you, God all-seeing, show mercy,
Do not leave odd-man-out in the dark -

Who in glorious light of the two’s love
Is alone, stands unnoticed in rain,
Holds, so desperate, bunch of the flowers
Like the hair torn out in pain.

Ticket To Yesterday

I was born with a ticket to yesterday
Tomorrow came along and life sailed away
Who created such a work of art
The treasure was mine and then we had to part

Then the shoes I walked in were made for me
The eyes I looked through could really see
Can't get it back no matter how much I pray
What happened to my ticket to yesterday

How fast I was walking just to go sit in a chair
Could you explain it to me if you were there
Tomorrow came along and life sailed away
Lord knows I was born with a ticket to yesterday

Dancing The Night Away

How I wish It was Yesterday
When I would dance the night away
To music that was really cool
From the guys from Liverpool
Ringo, Paul, George and John
Who fascinated everyone
From Europe to the U.S.A.
They had a captivating sway
They played a rocking beat
That made me move my feet
From I Wanna Hold Your Hand
To Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
From Hey Jude with Na Na Na Na
To Desmond and Molly Ob La Di Ob La Da
Yes how I wish It was Yesterday
When I would dance the night away

About this poem:
As Morgen said, it seems like the "blues bug" has struck the corner lately.
I thought I would brighten it up a bit with a happy "fun" poem.
Perhaps others can do the same.

It Is Time

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

Just woke up this morning time to start my day
Reaching for my coffee fighting the demons away
It's the memories rolling by, the mind just seems to follow
Robbing me of the day making me feel so hollow
I don't know what to do, it's still all about you

Going through the motions wanting it to change
Yet living here without you seems all to strange
No one sees the pain, no one looks inside
The smile upon my face keeps what I hide
I wish that you were here to wipe away my fear

There's a hand reaching out through this darken life
I want to reach back but I still feel like your wife
I think it is time to fight back and take the chance
Just reach back and leave the rest to circumstance
Or I could walk away and wait another day

The years are rolling by and yet I go on
Time to face the fact I'm tired of being alone
Time to give new memories their own place
Your memories will not be erased
Time to start my day, time to push the sadness away
