belly dance challenge

brunette hair intoxicates
Sexy eyes she dances for him
her gourges curves dance

She girates her heavenly curves
Intoxicating her heavenly charms she performs
Her intoxicating charm
Her belly dance

Under her spell in the moment
She rolls her hips sways her txts
He gazes as she dances for him

silky soft skin intoxicating amour
For she the dancer captivates him

The Wonderful Magnet

The magnet is a wonderful thing, as it is
made from iron extracted from the ground
becoming a magnet from it's magnetic
properties from the Earth, being buried over
centuries it has become vital to man.
with the abilities to attract metal and also
repell metal with a different polarity, as
like poles repell and unlike poles will attract
this amazing piece of iron can be used in
various products: generators, motors and
may even be the solution to anti-gravity
and propulsion of space vehicles that could
travel to distant planets and beyond, back
in earlier times people believed the magnet
may be a creation of the Devil, as being a
material capable of pointing North, a form of
scourcery or even witchcraft, where in actual
fact it was science, used in the creation of the
compass, something that every boy scout
would use in camping, and many uses today.

My Hometown

Not long ago i had a chance to go
to my hometown. The town where i grew up,
and went to school, my first love, and
first kiss. I thought I was so smart
back then.......

So many memories were made there. Mostly
good but some bad also. But while I was
walking down the familiar streets, i recalled
so,so many wonderful memories.....

Passing by the house where i used to live,
made me stop a while. just quietly remembering
all the fun times we had there.......

I didnt know the people i passed on the way
but they felt familiar like back in the day.

I did run in to my old high school teacher,
who after talking with her a while,
remembered me! imagine that! after 50 years!

She was now very old and walked with a cane,
but the twinkle in her eye was just the same.

That experience that day made me thankful
for who I have become. Because i wouldnt be
the lady i am today, without those times.

I love thinking back to those days, when there
was so much merriment and fun.....

But i dont live in the past, just like to revisit
sometimes, today is a wonderful day of which
i am a part. Today i will make it the best day
because today is all we have. yesterday is gone,
and tomorrow is yet to come. So live each day
as if it were your last, because we never know
what will happen tomorrow.........

Say what needs to be said to those you love,
say I love you often, im sorry when necessary,
and I forgive you when necessary. just say what
you need to say, dont wait for tomorrow
Happy Valentines Day

if only

if only you'd stop apologizing to me
telling me how naive how gullible you were then
if only i'd beaten you like you wished i would
instead of trying to talk it through
to convince you
if only you'd apologized to my face
five
four
three
two
one
year ago
i might be able to put it behind me
to forgive you
yea sure i'd have a criminal record
sure my kids would hate me
it couldn't be worse than now
could it?
if only i was a @#$%

~Time~

All the days gone by
Makes me want to cry..

I think back at times
I'd listen to the soft chimes..

The wind had blown
My children were grown..

Time passed on
Days were gone..

My hair grayed
Life had frayed..

The yard had rough edges
With over grown hedges..

Happy times though
Will come and go..

Love is still here
I can feel it near..

With many warm looks
And well written books..

Always loved what I do
Even if my time flew..

Pages of my life have been turned
As well as many candles burned..

I'd rewrite my days
Never changing any of the ways..

All the warm smiles
Across the miles..

And given the chance
I'd take the same old dance..

About this poem:
I have been watching this show since it's beginning in 2002. I guess my real appeal to the show is seeing the bad singers get ripped by the judges. Last night Charlie Askew really got a major ripping by all the judges, but Niki Minaj was especially harsh with her comments about his earring, ponytail, and showing his muscles. He walked off the stage, that doesn't happen, I felt for him. The song he picked wasn't bad either, Mama by Genesis.

"I came across a tucked away poem"

I hold my head and dream, as he entered my world

Slung across you
with strings to bear
"Welcome" sweet man, you are finally here

spilling foward your music, our souls had met
the gently structured hand
a fractured mind of
"fret"

Words so simple
sung so deep
head bowed down
another level to keep

Shall we rush from the stage,
or slip into the world that is for you and me.

But what is "for" but only a speck

Journey with me
slide through those unprepared obstacles
that's ok
I shall help you up, kiss you, give all

look into my eyes
as this journey is a long one.

I have missed you
all my life

beautiful cords of love
like angels singing from above

wonders of beautiful
the "Leary" days

paths glittered back then with the hazy days

strumming to life
hearing that drum

We eat our sumptuous words before us
with gluttony we roll and savor

such laughter and pure soul
for ever my heart you stole

Cheap Golf

There is a golf course 13 miles away from me
It's called Cole Acres
I went there in October a few years back
I went to the house that was close to the clubhouse
I asked the owner how much for golf
He said 15 bucks and all the golf you can play with a cart
I played four rounds on this nine hole course
It has a layout of pars like this
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
5 4 3 4 4 3 5 4 4
There is one pond by the right side of the 9th fairway
I played one round from the women's teebox
I played one round with a 7 iron all shots
Just like in the movie Tin Cup
I tried to play one round with just a putter
My arms got tired so I gave up on that idea
The last round I played a shot from just off the green
It was getting dark by then
That round lasted about 15 minutes
Just me and the golf course all to myself
In golf the cheaper the course the more elbow room you have
Especially in October

About this poem:
I haven't been able to golf as much as I like lately. I paid for one round last year and got three from family and a friend. I used to be his big buddy and now he sells cell phones and is making something like five grand a month, probably more now. All I know is he makes more than teachers make, and in my book, that's a lot!

The Penny Arcade

Back in the 1920's, Americans would go to entertainment
spots around big cities like New York and Chicago, were
you could go to have some fun, these places were run
very cheaply and were called Penny Arcades, in these
amusement parlours you would find an endless array of
fun things to play, like fortune teller machines, scales to
weigh yourself, crazy mirrors that made you look really
fat or very tall, hand cranked picture viewers that would
run for a minute, all for the cost of a penny (1cent), games
of skill like the flick through the loop bagatelle game, if
you got the ball in the win hole your money was actually
refunded and another free shot was given, then there was
the famous crane game which had a large claw that you
would have to manipulate into position to with prizes
below, if you were fortunate enough you could win a
little prize from it, these crane games still exist today
but the modern version hardly let's you ever win, unlike
it's earlier counterpart, winning seemed easy and it
was a favourite back then when things were made for fun.
Once all the money had gone we said goodbye till next
time, when once again we try our luck in the Penny Arcade.

About this poem:
If you remember the Penny Arcades of the early 1900's, this is a tribute to these fun palaces dedicated to the creation of excitement and enjoyment for people who had nothing to do with their spare time.
