In Melancholy Mind

In melancholy mind leave the world behind
And when you return what you learn what you find
Is a soap opera life hasn't changed still the same

The people that you meet haven't missed a beat
Only the clock on the wall has kept up with spring or fall
Turning back who are you looking for in melancholy mind

Close the bedroom door and no lady there
To kiss your lips or take her fingertips
Slowly through your hair

Outside the window you stare
At empty clothes pins on a line
Except for one pillow case so fall asleep in melancholy mind

Despair ~Loneliness in the Crowd!

Desolation of Old Age!

Oh! Howl the wolf and set me free

For in this wilderness must I ever be?

Like a raving hapless living soul, I am alone and I grow old

Roving, growing old, tis in the night oh! very cold

I have roamed and lived my life, ever thinking,
of my departed wife

The earth to taste it goodness for what it’s worth

But now happiness alludes me on this earth

Home is sadness to despair, as there’s is no one left,
lovingly, someone to share

In the night time when I go to bed, Oh this happening,
how this I dread, a feeling of the lone, the walking dead

But then the day and sunshine shines through
And I think of the love we had when we were two!

Petty not or wept for me, for someday the earth will set me free!

just waiting

I've made mistakes
who of us hasn't
said I'm sorry till it hurts
asked the lord to forgive
So why can't I find her
this love of my life
Is my penance loneliness
for the rest of my days?
even though I see daylight
though I've changed my ways
I've seen the bottom......
and glad to be back
tons of love to show
before I feel back on track
I try not to judge
And wish folks were the same
when I'm just a memory
who'll remember my name?
just need to love
and feel some in return
I'm not perfect, I know
and still much to learn

FAKE PHOTO'S

False identity
lured me in
tricked me.

He didn't do it for money
thought it was the only way to impress me.
After hours on the phone he promised web cam chats
“it just don't work today”, how funny is that?

I believed him, but after three weeks of conversation
I needed the proof before I went off to meet him
sick how he had so many photo's of someone who is not him
a regular person, not even a model
how can he be so fake yet act so noble.

Pictures of his family...are lies
his six pac, his green eyes,
all what I've become so interesting in
all what I've been expecting
is all lies.

A lie is a lie
but in this case it wasn't an eye for an eye
because I was being honest the whole time
But he says he didn't do it for money
he thought it was the only way to impress me. So I asked him, “How do you honestly think I feel
to know my feelings were stolen by something not real?”

of the beholder

brushing away the light of distortion
total blackness
well...total blackness for all but one as I
for I am without sight
enabling me to see far past the veneer
well enough to 'try men's souls', if you would
all the layers are peeled back
all is exposed
as that, which they are
as thee, whom they are
that's why you don't see a lot of pretty paintings
...from blind artists
reality is none too pretty
and trust me...I've got a good eye

Our Next Family Reunion

just yesterday we were laughing
crying having a good time
remembering what was given to be together
our life was meant to be
and just like that.......

gone.......

GOD.......

just.......

and just like that.......
sleep sleep sleep until Jesus comes
but just like that when we all
get to Heaven our song
remembering our promise we'll cast our Heavenly crowns at Jesus feet

a piece of foil

She sits at home alone
Quietly sinking, in her comfort zone.
Loneliness feeds, her soul.
The emptiness takes a toll
No other way to go, she heads to the
Corner store.
A quick relief, to fill that void.
Her love lies in a piece of foil.
Just another hit for the day.
Takes her to that private getaway.
Brings her to higher heights,
No transportation needed, to take this flight.
Where she goes, nobody knows,
She finds elated peace. To Devine to define..
Trapped in a cruel body, that's just doing time.
Embodiment of her being, left behind.
Slowly descending, back to her destination.
Reality is not, her intention.
Comes back home, sitting alone
The door slowly opens
"Honey I'm home"

Expose Your Heart

I CAN SEE IT RIGHT THERE
I CAN SEE IT RIGHT THERE...FALLING DOWN
TEARS DROPPING ON YOUR PILLOW
YOUR STAIRING OUT THE WINDOW...

BUT WHY'S IT SUCH A SHAME TO SHOW
A SIDE OF YOU THATS WONDERFUL?
SO BEAUTIFUL, EMOTIONAL.
IT MAKES ME CRAZY, MAKES ME FALL
MORE AND MORE IN LOVE WITH YOU.
YOUR SO SAD AND YOUR SO BLUE.
BUT IT'S OK, YEA IT'S ALRIGHT, TO EXPOSE YOUR HEART TO ME TONIGHT.

About this poem:
Its about how some guys like to hide their pain in front of their friends and girls. But i just want to know why some guys are so proud to the point where they think tears are for weak people. Im saying why hide something so beautiful and true?

Friday

How come Friday is the one, where we can’t wait for it to come
Saturday is the day, when we get to play and party the night away
Sunday is the one; that on Saturday we wish had not done what we had done
Monday is spent looking for a chair, after the weekend we’re still trying repair
Tuesdays are so bad, thinking of all that fun at the weekend we had had
Wednesday is the middle of the week and everything seems so dark and so bleak
Thursdays aren’t quite full of cheer but Wednesday misery does start to disappear
So why is Friday the one, where we can’t wait for it to come?
