Come dance with me

There is a place i go
That sometimes i can share
The essence of its beauty
Does eliminate all care

Saturate your soul
Bathe in the salty surround
Tuning in with nature
Where the wildlife does abound

Gaze upon the horizon
Searching for that rise
Upon its arrival
Timing no surprise

Dance within her arms
Amongst the crystal chandelier
The vibrance of her power
A smile to endear

She will satisfy your thirst
An relieve you of any pain
Respect her many moods
For forever you will gain

An appreciation so fine
When she puts her best dress on
The queen of the earth
The ocean an her song

I feel...

...all of my time,
Has been wasted,
My heart has been,
Too many places,
These eyes of mine,
Too many faces,
This tounge has tasted,
Till everythings tasteless,
It's all too much,
I cannot take it...

Denizens of the Flat Earth Internet Cafe...

Nico: computer wiz... and mad Greek,
Lady’s man, and part-time actor, has a shot of him with Nicolas Cage to prove it...,
He’s the Captain of the cafe...
His mantra: if anything bad happens to you, after 5 minutes, wash it down with a cup of coffee, [which Philemon, his trusted African servant has to cook-up]forget about it and get on with life...

Andreas: ugly old cudgel with a heart of gold,
There’s always a cigarette dangling from his mouth,
He’s always buying or selling some diamond mine on the dark continent, and do you want in on the deal...???
Has, a glorious case of paranoia, he encrypts his every email,
His mantra: Google is out to get you...[he’s got more firewalls on his computer than Bill Gates has dollars in the bank..., well, er, almost, har, har...]

Andigoni: alluring Hellene beauty, of the Pisces persuasion,
Want the latest on processed food-scams, shady Aloe Vera manufacturers,
And contaminated aspirin packets? She’s your man...,
And, sometimes, she was my woman,
Sometimes? Yeah, I know it’s complicated...
Her mantra: if it’s not Certified Organic don’t touch it...

Hansie: as far as hard-nosed Afrikaners[you know, the white-supremacist apartheid types...], they don’t come any tougher,
Want a 45? He’s your man, and never mind the licence bit...,
He lucidly tells you how he’s been carrying one since he was 6, and luckily[for the cop, that is...] no dumb cop ever caught him yet...,
Got trouble with the law? No problem, he’ll break into Sing Sing to help you out...
His mantra: eat as much as you can, you never know where your next meal is coming from...

Archimedes and Leonidas: two brothers aged 9 and 11, they’re the Captain’s kids...,
They should have been named Cain and Abel, cause they’re the closest thing I’ve seen to ‘Cain slaughtering Abel’, except in this case, ‘Abel’ gave as good as he got,
I was having lunch with them and Lulu, their Mom[the Captain’s ex-wife] one day at the local Hellene sports club...,
Suddenly and for no apparent reason at all, Archimedes clobbers Leonidas on the ear,
In response, Leonidas grabs one of the cutlery implements and stabs his brother in the hand...,
The pandemonium that followed with all the ‘nice-and-proper’ Greek ladies in attendance was legendary...
Their mantra: “I’ll kill you...”

Lulu: the Captain’s ex-wife...
Terrific Greek Dancer, brainy Aquarian and chain-smoker...,
She and I downed many a glass of cabernet sauvignon together...,
That’s all, honest, after all, she was the Captain’s wife, ‘ex’ does not cut it with Greeks...,
Although the captain would ask her every now and then, so, have you and that nice Dr P fella got your act right yet?
Her mantra: “I can’t wait to leave this dump...”, which she finally did, and she’s far happier now,
Rumour has it she’s anchored on some exotic Greek isle...,
Vaya con Dios Lulu...

Being the Way

"When nothing is done,
nothing is left undone."
- Lao-tzu

A pale moment breathes
an unvoiced song-
eternally repeating itself,
eternally renewed.

Formless as the sky,
light within light
whistles through the trees
filling earth’s chalice-
the emptiness inside
is all there is
of everything.

You look for it
there is nothing to see;
you listen for it
there is nothing to hear.
Draw near,
there is no shape;
observe it,
there is no ending.
When you use it,
it is inexhaustible.

You can't know it,
you can only be it.

The beach

I love the beach when the sun comes out,

All the birds are twittering about,

I love the beach best when the sands are golden ,

And the sea is crashing against the rocks,

A Spider and a Fly

One day a spider said to a fly
"Though you pass this way daily
My hut has never been honored by you
By making a chance visit inside by you
Though depriving strangers of a visit does not matter
Evading the near and dear ones does not look good
My house will be honored by a visit by you
A ladder is before you if you decide to step in
Hearing this the fly said to the spider,
"Sire, you should entice some simpleton thus
This fly would never be pulled into your net
Whoever climbed your net could never step down"
The spider said, "How strange, you consider me a cheat
I have never seen a simpleton like you in the world
I only wanted to entertain you
I had no personal gain in view
You have come flying from some unknown distant place
Resting for a while in my house would not harm you
Many things in this house are worth your seeing
Though apparently a humble hut you are seeing
Dainty drapes are hanging from the doors
And I have decorated the walls with mirrors
Beddings are available for guests’ comforts
Not to everyone’s lot do fall these comforts".
The fly said, "All this may very well be
But do not expect me to enter your house
"May God protect me from these soft beds
Once asleep in them getting up again is impossible"
The spider spoke to itself on hearing this talk
"How to trap it? This wretched fellow is clever
Many desires are fulfilled with flattery in the world
All in the world are enslaved with flattery"
Thinking this the spider spoke to the fly thus!
"Madam, God has bestowed great honors on you!
Everyone loves your beautiful face
Even if someone sees you for the first time
Your eyes look like clusters of glittering diamonds
God has adorned your beautiful head with a plume
This beauty, this dress, this elegance, this neatness!
And all this is very much enhanced by singing in flight".
The fly was touched by this flattery
And spoke, "I do not fear you any more
I hate the habit of declining requests
Disappointing somebody is bad indeed"
Saying this it flew from its place
When it got close the spider snapped it
The spider had been starving for many days
The fly provided a good leisurely meal

2:00 am trash

passing away moments that would be better spent with you
I thought about the many good times of my life
could count them all on one hand, maybe there were one or two
no need to waste my energy concernin' strife
for the many times when I was thinkin' I was cool
I was nothing more than an commonday common fool
and now I find I cannot find myself the answers
to the questions that I pose to myself
suppose I must go back to school

or come back to you
and see it all through
you held me in your eyes
it felt mighty good
I held you in my arms
I did what I could
you tried to follow me
but that was too good
I couldn't let you and I left you behind

now I've left myself alone and far behind

i can't believe you would let me go

I can't believe you would let me go
You were my warmth my blood
You..pulled me from the mud
I twisted your arm but you had no pulse
You gave me love you like no one else

I can't believe you would let me go
To leave the scene is not like you
Your heartbeat thunders when I'm close to you
What the hell happened is it really over
My dream of us running through the clovers

I can't believe you would let me go
You captured my heart and then my soul
When times got tough you said lets roll
We held each other in a warm embrace
But you ran away without a trace

I can't believe you would let me go
Lies keep growing taller than redwood trees
The hurt I felt worse than a swarm of bees
If you could only stop and not be so mean
Can you hear my cries when I scream

I can't believe you would let me go
Is it worth all the energy you expense
Trying to maintain this six foot fence
When you find true love will it be rewarding
Don't blame me you're the one aborting

I can't believe you would let me go
Kill the life inside of me just tear me apart
Another chalk mark goes up on your chart
Its the game of love or is it fate
I wont sit back you just wait!

I can't believe you would let me go
These words that I write mean anything to you
Your thoughts caved in and corrupted you
I guess you're to busy out on the chase
You're now just a chalkmark you should be erased!

I can't believe you would let me go
An erase the memories we both love and know
To destroy my life just to fulfill your ego
When feelings mean nothing just press delete
Now that you destroyed me do you feel complete

in the rain....

our love was strong.. like that of a flame.... it twas love at first sight.. didnt even know her name.. we laughed we sang... and held our sorrows in each others hands... looked towards the future and made bright plans.... then the rain came... and faded the flame... made our sparks die out.... ive tried so many times to relight the fire... but everytime i try... my heart screams and shouts.... the flame wont rekindle... the fire wont ignite... im forced to walk alone...in the darkness of night... without the faintest moonlight.... - Lucas C. Hey...guess what?

You are not going to believe me if I say,
Two dogs came and went their way,
And it happen right before my eyes today,
Crazy as I am but stun by this display,
Is my life in some kind of drama play?
If you wish to leave your comment ,you may,
But my replys will be delayed,
As sleeping dogs and jumping sheep come out to play,
Merry go round on the london bridge relay,
Bloody Mary got a new dress of pink, red and a trim of gray,
Today is just not my day!
Is there anyone who would dare says nay?
Dont you copy my poem or you will have hell to pay,
Now I see the moonlight ray,
And wish a date for me at the bay,
By the way I am here to stay,
So Dont get any funny ideas this holidays...
