Dream Girl

Refresh my hungry soul
Take hold my starved heart
Softly she whispers my name
Telling me love can start
Serving more than my supper
A hunger for love we share
You can butter my bread
Anytime you really care
Now lying by your side
A moment of convergence
Basking in the candlelight
Your sweet face is aglow
A little more beautiful
With a wine I propose
Let only a slow sunrise
Awaken me from
Your lovely presence

Skin on Skin

Laying here in bed
Naked , but we're so in love
I don't want this to end
I just can't get enough

The first time you're touchin' me
The first time to feel this way
We're expressing our love
With No words to say

Now ..
Im yours and your mine
Skin on Skin
Nothing's there to hide
No more Tears and no Lies
Im only seeing your eyes
Making love with mine

I love you
Gonna Say it for the rest of my life

The Ship In The Bottle

Who can't admire the ship in the bottle
that sits on the mantlepiece of a stately home
with it's windblown sails, its row of cannons
and it's loyal crew.

A ship that will never encounter storms
or risk danger of running aground on jagged reefs
never seeing action or battling the high seas
and never discover new lands.

A ship of dignity, imprisoned in a glass dome
it will always remain the ship in the bottle.

About this poem:
It is about a model ship in a bottle on display and it is left to your imagination of it never being able to go were real ships do into the seas and oceans, it is just leaving you to wonder how those imaginary sailors would have felt on the distinguished ship and never really leaving the room. another poetry submission by me for competitions written around the same time as "Life".

the youngster

A smile as cute as innocence
With golden locks to spare
Unaware of what's around
Just your world of no despair
Beauty oozes from your soul
Untainted child you are
The honesty of your laugh
Makes you a shining star
The purest form of simplicity
An the ease of your enquire
Illuminates your surroundings
Engages your desire
To be a part of everything
Inquisitive mind you see
Exploring the unknown
To see what you can see...

Coffee?

Joyful laughter in the air
The door closes behind us
Switch flicked on
Inside light breaks the darkness
Late night coffee on the menu
Fingers lingering before separating
Shy glancing smiles
Tentative step toward the kitchen
Fingers touching once more
Pulling together
Joining easily relaxed
Lips meeting again
Dancing warm tips touching
And twirling
And swirling
Arms embrace, longing
Aching needs expressed
Gentle touches to hair and ears
Arm encirles waist
Hand stroking and feathering
Kisses deepening
Breathing deepening
Coffee forgotten

On the sofa, minutes pass
Becoming hours
Outside, light breaks the darkness
Dim illumination through shades
Silk and cotton colors
Hardwood floor patchwork
Hair like blown down wheat
Wet and streaked
Furniture rearranged
Eyes aflutter
Limbs akimbo
Tangled and mixed
Hushed whispers
Cooing sounds
Warmth and comfort
Arms embrace, satisfied
Intimate secrets expressed
Gentle touches to hair and ears
Arm encircles waist
Hands stroking and feathering
Kisses light and gentle
Breathing easily
Coffee remembered

Freedom's illusion

Freedom's Illusion

Freedom conjures sight of wings
but illusion traps us all.
Geese that fly fall behind
from shots by hunters in their blind.
The geese southern flight
is a constant risk,
no more freedom than a fish
swimming freely in the sea
till net or hook their freedom steal.
Oceans favor blue skies mirth
their preference kissing sandy shore
wallowing in ancient lore,
yet loose control of "White Squall's birth,
it's tidal flow
at mercy
of "Moody Moon's Turf.
And so in a trap is all of Man,
it nests within his soul.
And he feels the rakish lust
from the tines of lying myths
that he and he alone is blessed
with freedoms bliss,
until he tries to fly,
and feels the weight of gravity's drag.
So now he sits upon the sand,
watching black fish die on land
while juggling tar balls in his hands.
His only freedoms are his thoughts.
And maybe that's enough.

~in silence they look~

Is he greedy they ask
Have you ever seen him alone by himself
Lines on his face journeys they are
Wandering life days.

He's not a bone in his body to current day hosts
Part's of his past, new surfaced ghost's.

Chooses carefully he doe's
As those minute's change the ones
Waitin next inline
Fertilize the thought that you seem to want grown.

A willing cry you want heard in the night
Or a silent smile as you're a shadow of one.

Society in stride, waitin for the rules to read and abide.

Hell I'm not sayin to break em, just live to the edge
That word spelled en oh find it more less
While minutes in your day are yelled in said yes.

Yet in drama's your stance
Sorry bout your luck and so sorry to hear!

When an Autumn leaf falls

When an autumn leaf falls,
it has been through many storms.
but it falls for you so that you can enjoy the spring.
fear not,
today is another day,
as yesterday has already been and gone.
for i am your autumn leaf and i have fallen for you,
"my spring."

PRESENCE

I feel your presence all the time
A loving feeling so divine,
Whispered love and shining eyes
My sweet I am so glad your mine.

So much has passed along the way
A journey so complete
You smooth a path out of the rough
My friend and guide, my hearts retreat.

I live a dream, my worlds desire
A dream that sets my heart on fire,
So when I sleep, a peace will come
To me a love, bright as the sun.
