LULLABY OF REASON

What are you looking at?
I am talking to you Delta,
And to you, Nigeria,
Not left out is Africa.
Why the differences?
Why the bloody scenes?

Delta, stop seeing the hats
See the hearts.
Nigeria, forget the tribes
And focus on lives.
Africa, forget he or she is white,
We all have a right.

Commit these words to memory,
They are for us all;
The hat, the tribe and the colour
Speak no peace but war.
But the heart speaks of love.

Our common enemy is not Tutsi or Huti
Our enemy is poverty.

Adventures in Friendship (the BBQ)

I will continue to treasure my friends from all over
The Scottish Italians Bulgarians Irish four leaf clover
Fun times always frequently joyful expressions
Exiting the event with proud lasting impressions
All over the world excitement communication is there
Comparatively a thrilling roller coaster ride at the fair
"This land is your land, This land is my land
From Bonavista to Vancouver Island
From the Arctic Circle to the Great Lake waters
This land is made for you and me"
Another Saturday Afternoon Delight
BBQ with new friends at night
Meeting interesting wonderful friendly faces
Honest integrity blessed with all these graces
Adventures in friendship for all
Come out and join us give us a call
" This land is your land, This land is my land
From Bonavista to Vancouver Island
From the Arctic Circle to the Great Lake waters
This Land is made for you and me"

Trust.

You want my trust, but how could i? You are but a stranger. Yes i have known you many years, but its what you told me, that gave me my image of you. Do i really know the sky? even though it always in my eye. Come on, you are flesh, with passions and lust. When i solve the mysteries of the sky, you are next, with your lies, and trust.

The little boy thats crying

No longer do i fear the world because now you are here.
you wiped my tears when i was angery,
kissing my heart when we fall apart sometimes i wish i never lost you from the very start.
My life and feelings have fallen and faded away,
no longer wanting to stay another day without you.
crying hurts and moving on never works.
I still fight the world to try and find you!
feeling those eyes on me give me a smile leaving me whole and full.
I hate that i cant have you and not hold you tightly....
Those tears you are hearing is from a little boy that is crying and dying inside of me.

That is love

THAT IS WHAT LOVE IS
Hi! so you want me to hunt you down,
i would like to ask you then, to ware a yellow flower every day,
when i find you i will simply say, exquese me,
that is a beautiful flower that you ware,
i would like to harvest its necter,
i would like to make beautiful honey with it,
for i am the bee,

then you will reply

my flower is full and ready, ready for you to pick,
you may harvest my necter, turn it into sweet honey,
for i am the flower.

Then we'll walk, and talk, there you will see,
that everyone has thier problems, thier upsets,
mine has been but a strugle.

Then comes that feeling, that one deep down inside,
the feeling that when making love to some-one makes you feel,
that that one feeling Where but just for a moment,
when you come to that climax,
if only just for that breaf moment, we could believe,
that that one feeling, could last for ever.
That is what love is.

Freedom's illusion

Freedom's Illusion

Freedom conjures sight of wings
but illusion traps us all.
Geese that fly fall behind
from shots by hunters in their blind.
The geese southern flight
is a constant risk,
no more freedom than a fish
swimming freely in the sea
till net or hook their freedom steal.
Oceans favor blue skies mirth
their preference kissing sandy shore
wallowing in ancient lore,
yet loose control of "White Squall's birth,
it's tidal flow
at mercy
of "Moody Moon's Turf.
And so in a trap is all of Man,
it nests within his soul.
And he feels the rakish lust
from the tines of lying myths
that he and he alone is blessed
with freedoms bliss,
until he tries to fly,
and feels the weight of gravity's drag.
So now he sits upon the sand,
watching black fish die on land
while juggling tar balls in his hands.
His only freedoms are his thoughts.
And maybe that's enough.

SONG OF THE ELM

Song of the Elm

Standing tall next to brothers Ash and Birch
we feel as guardians of this silent church.
Soldiers of the land, watchers of the hills.
From tip of limb to tip of limb
our arms encircle valley low,
swaying in rhythm to river's flow.
Purple mountains undulate across the land
seducing a love affair with man.
The river's song is our lullaby.
And in the stillness of the night,
as the moon hangs her luminous smile over our charge,
our limbs that touch from tip to tip,
encircleing all that lies below,
embrace the tightening grip stick
waiting for the reaper: Man.

Hail to Kale

Embedded image from another site

If you like chips or crisps
All greasy and yummy
You wont’ be able to wait
To get these ones to your lips
So good for you and your tummy
Because they taste so great!

This lovely dark green leaf kale
Hailed, yes “Hail to Kale”
As the “worlds healthiest food”
So you know it’s got to be good!

It’s called the “new beef”
Those beautiful leafs
It’s the “queen of the greens”
You know what I mean!

It’s a lovely recipe with a twist
Very, very easy and oh so hip!

Recipe’
Dry the leaves well after washing
It's better for storing and tossing

Grab a large pan that you’ll be shovin’
Into a preheated 375 degree oven

· 1. Take all the green leaves off the stem
You don't want to use them
That part is thicker and bitter

· 2. Chop those leaves up nicely into chip/crisp sizes
This recipe will win you some smiles and prizes

· 3. Into a large bowl they will go with power

· 4. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil to shower

· 5. Tong toss them up add pepper and sea salt too
Everyone will love them Mmmmm - through and through

· 6. Now add that sensual chopped garlic

· 7 And some herbs you love fresh from the garden

· 8 Let that mixture sit that's the trick

· 9 Toss every once in awhile for the flavors to mix

Baking
Now, spread out this heavenly mixture on your pan
Into the oven is the plan

· In 15 minutes gently toss them around a bit
· In 30 minutes they are crisp and perfectly fit

Now you can munch on kale leaves just like chips
Use these crisps/chips as a delightful garnish
For any creative dish
Or simply eat them up . . .
Until they vanish!

The Light In Your Eyes ......

the light in you eyes has the power to feed my hunger that I burn for you ,these waves of hunger will never breke or lose trace only embrace, the light in your eyes is like a rising sun that can shine through the darkest skies ,your eyes are the only sound of love that are locked in tune as we dance into the moonlight..
