Little Apples will grow Again

Nature. Where the growth formula lends its hand. The internal reflection of the root dynamic expresses itself and shares the mirror image as they blossom. When the acceptance root sprouts itself the mind no longer retreats. The journey seems possible again for the seeds to fruitfully develop through nature’s way. For little Apples will grow again.

Light From the Darkest Star (Paloma's Challenge)

Light from the darkest star shining on me
Travelling from blackest regions of space
Caught like the deepest creature in the sea
Wriggles in your net humble, needing grace

No longer hidden as I twist and turn
Shimmering light on my defenseless core
Trapped hopeless in the point of no return
Brings to surface what I try to ignore

There's no escaping great moments of truth
Twisting and turning my head in disgrace
Swimming in lies is really quite uncouth
When dimmest star light still shines on my face

Close to creation is found in the heart
Good love always sustains from the start

Mother Nature Speaks.

Lush forest trees are hacked down every day,
For human gain that shows me disrespect,
But toxic mindsets have a price to pay,
When climate change disasters take effect.

With soaring carbon gasses on the rise,
My tears fall on the earth as acid rain,
Loud storms on swelling oceans are my cries,
Wild forest fires my raging, burning pain.

It's not too late for man to save the globe,
But mankind is a greedy, selfish beast,
Reluctant when there's remedies to probe,
Before the population lies deceased.

The warnings that I give your world Take Heed !
My name is Mother Nature, yours is Greed.

Circle of Life... Socrates Challenge.

Birth, Growth, Maturation, Reproduction, Decay, Death.

~ A Sonnet.~

Of all the magic moments on this earth,
Our lives so blessed with wonders that are rife,
And surely none more wondrous than child birth,
To witness the beginning of new life.

All doting parents watch their babies thrive,
They teach them to stay safe and feel secure,
To pass on good life lessons they contrive,
A labour of pure love 'till they're mature.

They'll then find love and marry their soul mate,
And share a home with God as the mainstay,
Where they can build on dreams and procreate,
Before their wheels of life start to decay.

May love and warmth sustain them when they're old,
Then death some day will serve their last meal cold.

Good - Morrow

My favourite poem

by John Donne

I WONDER by my troth, what thou and I
Did, till we loved ? were we not wean'd till then ?
But suck'd on country pleasures, childishly ?
Or snorted we in the Seven Sleepers' den ?
'Twas so ; but this, all pleasures fancies be ;
If ever any beauty I did see,
Which I desired, and got, 'twas but a dream of thee.

And now good-morrow to our waking souls,
Which watch not one another out of fear ;
For love all love of other sights controls,
And makes one little room an everywhere.
Let sea-discoverers to new worlds have gone ;
Let maps to other, worlds on worlds have shown ;
Let us possess one world ; each hath one, and is one.

My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest ;
Where can we find two better hemispheres
Without sharp north, without declining west ?
Whatever dies, was not mix'd equally ;
If our two loves be one, or thou and I
Love so alike that none can slacken, none can die.

Six sides

Slams the door
Heavy the hinges grinds that
Drewls within the stench of odours of others that have been before
Light flickers
Heavy bangs noises loud voices heard
Six sides one is trapped
One sits to one fate to one's dispair
Stench of others over powers
Graffity scorned walls from others there ones alone shivers cold
Now one coming
Alone and scared
One sits and drewls
Time stops
One is lost in limbo
Time now gone
Your alone

Lament for a C/S Poetess.

How bleak the fells and valleys seem today,
The lakes and tarns reflect a sombre sky,
A windswept woodland leans to bow and pray,
As laden gloomy clouds begin to cry.

A Summer Willow weeps Christina's loss,
And prematurely sheds an Autumn leaf,
The shadows of its branches form a cross,
To bless her mourning kindred lost in grief.

But she forevermore will linger nigh,
Her laughter heard in streams among the dales,
Or when some light breeze yields a lonely sigh,
Soft raindrops are her footsteps on the trails.

Fond memories her legacy imparts,
Embedded for all time in minds and hearts.

About this poem:
This is written in memory of Christina.... ( Pseudonym Odette67), a C/S Poetess who graced this corner for years with special poetry and honest critique. She lived in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, England and passed away earlier this year. Her favourite poetry form was a Sonnet so this one is for you Dear Christina. Sleep soundly with the Angels..we'll see you on the other side.

The Wish

I picked up the phone
Many times tonight
Waiting for your messages
about a life you had before
The ghosts of love waiting at my door

My heart, It feels anticipation
my soul, it aches
apprehensive in mind
As the ghosts of love
Knock once more

The wish
To dream with you
To hold and Release
from a past unjust
To grow old....
As we become the ghosts of love once more

Two Friends Of Mine.

On our life's path so oft' we'll find a bend,
When daylight pales a cloudy sombre hue,
Such darkness will seem brighter with a friend,
My hope instilled, for I am blessed with two.

Good friends are scarce, as rare as precious jewels,
Who don't intrude and yet are never far,
To discard friendship is a trait of fools,
How bleak the nightsky bearing just one star.

When Angels beckon one I hope it's me,
No joy in being bereft to grieve alone,
For now we'll live and laugh as comrades three,
Our names not etched as yet on marble stone.

So in salute I raise a glass of wine,
And toast 'Good Health' for two good friends of mine.

If I Could Question Love.

Such joyous Love, why do you make me weep ?
This heart so warm, yet aches without relent,
My mind so tired, still you deprive my sleep,
Each waking hour consumed with sweet torment.
Why do I fall so heavy for your charms ?
Besotted by the lure of womanhood,
And when I'm wrapped in calming female arms,
Why do you raise wild torrents in my blood ?
So many hearts you break with utter grief,
Oh Love, why must we toil to be your slave ?
How can you be so fickle and so brief ?
And yet for some, endure beyond the grave.
The answers lie within Love's tangled mire,
Strewn amidst the agony and the fire
