Being Alive

If there is an art to writing or poetry, it comes from the heart not what you see, and all lifes troubles and happiness, are all laid bare, more or less, thats a wonderful gift given to few, the ability to express the real you, in words and thymes, to let it all go, especially in these trying times, I read your words and try to see, understand the meaning what it could be, its sometimes encoded, but its all I need to imagine its me!
So, I'll mention a few, Abby1963, thank you for being complimentary to me, and EXRED3, Just like Abby your comments were nice to see, then we have Oceanzest, so hard to rhyme, I'll take a rest, before I compliment him on his poetry, well done you three.
And soutmiamia4321, I reflect on your comments, well done.
So, this is just to acknowledge you all, and if I dont comment,I'm homeless again, didn't pay my rent. (just joking) There's more that I missed, ,,,,,,,,,,, so,,, I'd like to thank mr and mrs ,,,,,,,,, for getting me here,,, winning this award is just soo special to me,,,I'd like to thank my family,,, Joe Bloggs, the bus driver who let me off outside, its all been a great ride.
Bye for now, see you again, beam me up Scotty,,,,,,,,,,Scotty,,,?,,,where did you go Scotty?,,,

Postcript: This speech did not use any Que cards, I am solely responsible,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Scotty?,,,Scotty?,, where the hell are you?,, get me outta here quick!

Its a whole new world {hopefully]

A prison ship in the vastness of space, prisoners all, the human race, illusions of freedom to keep all blind, no truth allowed, there's nothing to find, only rules and regulations, laws for populations, to think is frowned upon, verbalise or analyse, contemplate? its too late, humanity has lost its way, its time , its here but nothing to fear, it will end in a blink, and then start anew, a whole new world for me and you, rejuvenation for every nation, just hope its a better Godly Creation.

Not quite a poem..

I am sorry this is not a poem,
though, I could make it one, I suppose..
The thing is, since I lost my husband,
I've not really, felt able to compose.
What I would like to ask, if someone should happen to know,
Is how to go about getting a book of my poetry published here..
To leave for my kids, and grandkids, when my Good Lord calls me home?~

Just a thought!

There are reasons for everything, always a reason,
I can't because, I won't, because, everyday in every
way life stops, if I could I would, but...I can't,,
.... never ask anyone that question... why not?.
avoid the ridicule.. conditioned and lost to the
brainwashed horde that is a fool... united with only
one thought.... I can't!!!,,,because I live in a world
of rules, if there were no rules, what do you think would
happen?.. would there be anarchy?. would you kill?...
I know you can't say,, why?...because we live in fear,
constantly,, they say without them all would be hell...but
no.. with them all is hell...would millions have died, without
them,, wars are created by them.. for f*ck sake ... can
anyone see...life is designed to be free, wars, sickness, hell
on earth all brought about by that anomaly that is not us!!!!
take away the rules, take away the order?... that is supposed
to control, and leave us alone.. would the death rate rise?
.....Hardly more than the wars and poverty that they have
created....if I could meet you tomorrow, black or white, yellow
or pink.. green or blue,, imagine... colours mean nothing...would#
I harm you?......not without intervention, not unless THEY said
you are bad....and that is sad........and that is how we live
and die.. someone wrote on one of my poems that freedom to be
is a prquel to anarchy,,well.. if that is true.. it can't be
worse than living this lie we have been told,,,god bless, everyone
and god bless you.

the unasked question

baby, hills run dry
beneath your velvet sky
outside i queue for gas
in the rain

baby, I don't know
how the tale of us will go
don't walk away
on stepping stones of pain

your smile is a light
on a cold dark night
look and search my face
there's no distain

all I ask for now
is some peace somehow
no need to give me
shelter from the rain

uptown girl

you and me
in a little car shop
buying dreams
with the money we got
but dreams are free
at the break of dawn
one by one
we let them go

ninety nine cents
ain't a dollar
your daddy's rich
and I'm blue collar
floating down
the highway high
ninety nine
red saloons go by

ninety nine bucks
in my pants
limits us
and our romance
you wonder why
I even try
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

ninety nine
is a soft ice cream
I watch you eat it
like a queen
and we sleep beneath
the blanket sky
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

black the haze
in a mug, soft chair
we wonder if there's
something out there
"you're so cool"
you'd sweetly lie
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

stepping stones
your every word
your beauty
made me look absurd
you lit a fire
beneath the sky
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

bivouaced in blonde
you dream
a smile that silenced
every scream
cantankerous,
I said goodbye
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

yet every now
and every then
I pay my bills
and still have ten
you smile
as on my skin you lie
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

all our dreams
are in assembly
in the valley
of our memory
another girl.. another try
as ninety nine
red saloons go by

Leap to Freedom (The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog)

At yelping speed she travelled
across an emerald lawn,
pursued by gnarling nightmares
as the darkness nipped the dawn.

Her ears, amber triangles,
bush glittering crystal dew,
body sleek with rivulets,
glowed red with exhaustion's hue.

Her heart palpating bass drums
and panting loud, fit to burst,
'glimpsed a shadow by the gate,
Her escape route surely cursed.

A lolloping great mastiff
of the Herculean type
roused apathetic eyelids
to investigate the hype.

No options left, the vixen
hugged the ground, then made a leap
to clear canine and gate and
safely saunter home to sleep.

Finding MR RIGHT

THEY SAY IT TAKES A MINUTE TO FIND A SPECIAL PERSON, AN HOUR TO APPRECIATE THEM, A DAY TO LOVE THEM AND AN ENTIRE LIFETIME TO FORGET THEM??

the ballad of Elijah James (as told by her)

mister
given that the gulls don't reconcile
my running and my fate
I'd like your awful less a smile
and rain to last till late
I'm here in walls and towers
wish to tell you plain
the beast he smart devours
though my heart only is sane
here with your long hand
the clouds roll and they pass
I see that you'll comprehend
at last it will not last
shall we not be given then
be tolled and also mate
I'll take you in and soon and when
you'll have gardens and locked gates
you may think I always knew
that you would love me still
my head, the sky and heartaches grew
I was never what you will
try to know me, losing man
I tried to show you that
nowhere in my open hand
was nothing. take your hat
