RE: Dating for the Aware

Another sidenote: some use emojis thinking they are witty ... but for me they are a 'cringe factor'.

RE: Dating for the Aware

@oped how many contacts in your inbox a also bloggers?
Well so you claim, I will again assert it is so. As a non-random sample of 1 I am here to blog not date. Answer my question, how many bloggers are actively dating? You have no idea! What is not rational there? Despite some other claiming you are astute and sharp of mind, I do not see it.

RE: CDC recommendations

Haha a blog ipso facto invites comments - most of mine have none, so what does that say!? Yes you did invite my comments and you got them, and will continue to get them when what you write is worthy of response. What you wrote here needs contradiction, it was rubbish! Satire!? Come off it!

RE: CDC recommendations

@op When you can teach me English the Sun will indeed revolve around the Earth as the Centre of the universe. As I have said or expressed before, I do not respect you.

RE: CDC recommendations

@op but then who am I? this is merely my published opinion and I express it openly.

RE: CDC recommendations

@op to people with eyes you stand (yet again) condemned by your words. A list of synonyms does nothing to remedy. Some people here are truly loathsome, most of them are male, but you more or less belong too.

RE: CDC recommendations

People like you need to be pointed out for blatant slander! Detestable you!

RE: Dating for the Aware

@op et al. Well it is a clear as the mask on the face that some want to be seen and remain as anonymous. What surprises you about that? What is it about the photo-less? Is that somehow more acceptable? The mask makes a statement, does it not? Some people (me included) come here to blog, not to date. Think first. Question second. Answers are often obvious if you give the brain time.

RE: Why would anyone lie to gain attention?

Because lying supports their point of view. Who knows whether they derive some profit? Probably not!

RE: Apprenticeship interview today plus another one next week.

I suggest you do some online research into the company so you know stuff like their history, structure, board, specialisations - knowledge demonstrates interest and can never hurt!

RE: Do I care if they live or die?

@RH
Allow me to teach you some language and perhaps some logic

1. Have been dying and have died - quite different meaning. You want to imply consequentially.
2. Think about how language has been twisted here to warp your thinking! Are you so easily duped?

RE: time for a road trip ,,,,

Such a journey might be a little more difficult from here in Sydney - basically here we are restricted to within Aus, and the state borders open and close!

RE: 'Publican Senator Calls On 'Crats To Enact Amendment 25 To Remove Ol' Joe ...

No, let me rephrase the 'who has been least absurd and ridiculous?'. This senator, the current President, or the previous President? I think in this sense there's only only who holds all the trumps

RE: 'Publican Senator Calls On 'Crats To Enact Amendment 25 To Remove Ol' Joe ...

So who is less mentally capable or absurd - The Rep Senator or the President?

RE: Well that was a waste of time and money

@rob Well England was ignominiously defeated in the 1840s in Afghanistan, and this continues till today, doesn't it. Interventions in Afghanistan do not reward the intervener or the country itself. We can only hope the Taliban have learnt something but it seems improbable.. Did Russia 'invade' Afghanistan? Well hardly, they went to support a new communist government, so no surprise USA opposed it. But they did indeed reap the payback.
@op also a waste of foreign lives ... 40+Aussies 10 Kiwis

RE: Well that was a waste of time and money

Americans armed the Taliban in 1980 to defeat the Russians there who were doing more or less the same thing. 'What goes around comes around'? USA also boycotted 1980 Olympics, did they not? Futility sought and achieved.

RE: AUTISM IS NO LAUGHING MATTER

A radio program on ABC Radio National 'All in the mind' discussed research into the experiences of adult diagnosed autism.

Here is a small extract, but you can listen for yourself and read the transcript.

RE: Hiroshima Day August 6.

@grand VERY few, I am sure!

RE: Hiroshima Day August 6.

@OP and in three days time time it also marks my 76th - I am sure you will be delighted... Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and then FargoFan - 3 global disasters in 4 days

RE: If Aussies can't Say it, I will... 1984 / GATTACA

but @bohe your rabid rightist views are just that. Anti-science too. Common sense is possible in any government system - except yours.

RE: An act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government...

Little River band - not bad were they!? Shorrock, Farnham.

RE: An act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government...

Sobering stuff isn't it. How can people tolerate those who claim a peaceful tour? How has America become so divided again? Alarming isn't it?

RE: Still amongst the Living.

@moelle lots of side-effects from the first, none at all from the second except I still feel like sleeping around midday - never before. I have lost weight but appreciate that, yet enjoy eating less.

RE: ???????

Well! Don't we all? But 'original' life will never return...

RE: If Aussies can't Say it, I will... 1984 / GATTACA

@bohe well, chum, look at the statistics. USA is 13 times larger than Australia population-wise and 600+ times larger death-wise in respect of covid. But you guys like to die for liberty, good-onya. I'm sure you have a rational explanation, or maybe just a rant. Demand for vaccination makes no sense to you, well there is much indeed that makes no sense to you. I have yet to see rational words from you, no no expectation thereof.

RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

@snowlynx I never managed to finish 'Waiting for Godot' but I feel no guilt and rather less regret! It went back to the library uncomprehended.

RE: What's spreading like a wildfire in the USA is the Covid-19 virus

@jim merc has cat claws
that tik-tak on the parquet,
with sharp ears despite tinnitus
you can hear her coming
with or without rings on her fingers
and bells on her toes
she makes lots of noise
wherever she goes.

RE: Stay or Walk Away?

Wa! Kylie - what a woman, what a performer! I remember her singing at the Sydney Olympic opening ceremony...

RE: For those who Might be interested in some good Fourplay

Vale Les Paul!

RE: I've Not Seen Merc Here Lately - (aka "A Prior Chatting Blog")

@jac War and Peace - read it when I was 12-13, weird wasn't I! And 'A la recherche de temps perdu' at about 21. Both of these I remember little of, but Oblomov sticks in the memory.
