Thanks, K. for the thoughtful and well written response. You actually, cleverly, opened the blog up to two themes, as the one on deleting posts hadn't occured to me. I was referring to the large number of responses to my profile containing assertions, or worse, frank demands, to which I usually reply, sans explanation, Thanks, but don't think we are a match. But, yep, if someone deletes somethinng, as with the use of profanity, perhaps it's actually an exercise in self revelaton. The truth usually has a way of prevailing. But whose truth?
Well, Biff, fret not. Many here are baking the metal files into all sorts of loafs. Mine is a yummy banana bread. Cream cheese on the side. But, yep, priests, self appointed or ordained, deserve much of the flack. But I can now admit that most are decent, caring, devout servants of God, and a treasure to their flocks. So what if it took me half a century of life in interesting times to believe and to write this? Priests marrying, lady priests, and the rest of it will come in time. Can't imagine doing that sort of work without the support of a caring partner. I think there are two sorts of mentalities who wear the collar. Most are well adjusted, but the rest aren't, and must be vetted out on the front end. Not brain surgery to do so, during seminary years. Finally, the degree of rank clericalism in the RCC is toxic, and enabled/promoted tolerance of all the harmful nonsense. Just saw a touching film on these topics. "The Reformer".
I care. She's a tree top phony, who disses banks, having consulted for some big ones. Here' s her sordid story. She was hardly born into poverty, although she tried to yank that chain as well, untill photos of her driving her sports car to highschool showed up. But I think she grew up in average circumstances, and somehow always regretted it. She saw ways to fill her coffers, many dishonest and dodgy, and can't stop the obsession. At HLS, apart from the reported yearly salary of over $300 large for little research, and teaching one course, we read thet Harverd made her house loans at near zero rates, to launch her on her house flipping career. Wonder how many families were thereby homeless. I certainly do care, and so should everyone else.
Yep, W. This female is a pandering waste of human protoplasm. Good that she's now mostly toast, although it would have been a gift to have her run against our brilliant President. Yellow puddles and 1/1024th Wannabee hackfleisch on the floor at every candidates' debate. Even the alt left biased media is dissing her. But apart from shamelessly using this fake Indian status to gain prestigious appointments to law school faculty, and admission to state bars, there's much more. Real professors of law, to attain this status, must be prodictive academically. Little in the way of grants, journal publications, book chapters, etc. by this crumb of a person. But recall "Professor of constitutional law" shuck 'n jive Hussein O. Same deal. Two stories of affirmative action. Pathetic, but so very progressive.

And CF---Thanks. O, civili, si ergo. Fortibus es, in ero. O, nobili, demis trux. Votis idem, causan dux. ( Oh, see Billy, see her go. Forty busses, in a row. Oh, no Billy, them's trucks. What is in them? Cows and ducks!)
Well, C, and others, I never really looked into dumpsters. But as I posted many times elsewhere, our town recycle center ("dump"), has been an ongoing source of nearly new, easily repaired, items for me and my family. Being handy helps, but the list is impressive, including a guitar amplifier, self propelled gasoline grass mower, etc. The really nice thing is that things can be returned, so others can use them, especially kids items, such as bicycles, when they outgrow them. One woman's trash, is another's treasure.
Well, current world demographic maximum population guestimates, as with climate change, sea water level increases, and other data based mostly on computer mega models of "data", are in. These range between a low of 7.3 Billion souls for father Earth to carry, to just under 10 large. So these researchers are saying Malthusian logistic, let alone exponential, increases won't ever come, which goes along with the many known limiting factors on human population growth. Done well, these numbers probably can be fed, housed and provided with water and hygiene. But the point of my post was more about the rank consumerism driven by the "need" for constant economic growth, however defined.
White guilt, self loathing, liberal socialism----an excellent macroeconomic arrangement----until it runs out of other successful peoples' money. A different twist on trickle down.
Thanks, Biff, I can always use all the help I can scrounge up. But actually, still use the rabbit fur lined leather opposable thumb mittens we got decades ago in Helsinki. When it comes to winter gear, the Finns know a thing or two. They build the women the same way. But not sure that's all very healthy for us menfolk.
Well, Biff, I'd love to lie about that, but I like a simple, retro road machine looking ride. Not even a windshield, even for those road trips Ooouuuut there to Oh Canada, Ehhhh? But when Dad passed, I inherited the full Santa Suit, white balled cap and all. He always HoHoHo'd away among us tots, in the day, bag full of goodies (a pillow case). I try to ride, suit on, weather allowing, about town, most Christmas days. Got my own HoHoHo routine. Folks think it's a hoot. I'll search for pics to post.
Loverly Maine coastal winter weather, with windchill temps well below freezing, Biff. Riding Vintage touring MC most days, if roads clear. Sold Swedish chariot just before Portugal. Looking for newer same. Bike allows more leisurely car search. Bucky BS here---King of rationalization.
RE: Really REALLY honest profile comments
Biff. Blink, blink---from pedantry chasm.
