We've converted a whole range of petrol stations to colleges never made it easier for a remedial to get a degree, but I don't see social order. I see masses of little knowledge tearing down monuments to people who did something with their life.
Smacking kids does not make them more obedient adults but that's sort of the point. It's demoting the deer the caught between the headlights and all the hiding in mum's skirts that goes into that. The power that force has over you is less because you've been exposed to it, and you go onto be less bullied at school and then you don't feel like you need to change your gender in later life.
I would say that's proper conservatism. Dying on the plantation you were born on and the patience that comes with that consistency. The general state of existence is pretty bleak and against that backdrop the white knight makes sense but the microaggression does not.
I would say that conservatism and fate leads people down the road of the deep and narrow, liberalism along the plane of the broad and shallow. The general public could potentially be anybody but you have to live on your own.
Patience is a conservative value and fate is a conservative element. Free time is a liberal it becomes harder to deal with life you don't like and things that do not happen on your terms. The spoilt are not tolerant, we're not easier to live with for being rich liberal and radically individual.
Population density and diversity are gamechangers the former making it important to organise and the latter making it improbable. When the sardine can is diverse your space is more violated - disorder exacerbates density.
A humanising move to the countryside that spreads opportunity. Pandemic does nothing for the idea of rootless cosmopolitan and it may fracture the geographic monopoly they have which directly or indirectly controls everything else. At least in this country.
I agree. Past and future are decided for us and the moment now is the illusion. We call it the moment now but even thats a backward experience of our coordinate in time and space.
I don’t believe it was intentional because of the consequences. I’d say that murdering the guy came from his soul, nothing in reality could stop him. He did what he felt like.
Beginning in the 1960s and cumulating in Reagan was the idea that you could replace with a narcissistic shell so there would be no political ideas and movements, no motive other than the profit motive.
Blade Runner and Robocop came out in the 1980s to show you what would happen in future, and that's what's happened.
Cheap and easy labour sleeping six to a room is compensated by the fact that it's a healthy agricultural population of youngsters. 98.5% didn't even notice and you can contrast that with the hyper allergy of the urban sterile far more easily triggered.
The customer isn't there to stand on ceremony one way or the other. Why wouldn't masks be optional? You can leave the house without making a political statement, it's a free country.
Looks like the police are trying to get their heads mashed in with their own helmet. I'm honestly starting to understand the reason why Americans sleep with a gun under the pillow.
First man in space and they did a superb job at forcing a river to flow through a mountain. I love my iPhone as much as next to the next man but I'd wait longer for a new one for a shred of that Soviet ability for public works.
Not that surprising. They have the most to gain from public health and the least to lose from a tanking economy before you begin to talk about Trump's own lack human sympathies, certainly not the guy who takes to giving a eulogy.
There's worse out there than contempt for familiar things. Realising that is what I hope ends the narcissistic in-fighting between the English-speaking.
I already lost my best friend to the Muslim feral and 4 years later my parents are under attack from a Chinese virus. I lost my temper years ago and this is only the beginning of the slow road back to your people.
They'll lower trust and confidence in yourself and others but it's not intended to crush your spirit like a burqa. There are good non-sinister reasons for the masks.
I would say the crisis highlights the difference between statesmenship(i.e. the buck stops here)and business ethics(i.e. you're the junior guy, you take the bullet).
The runt of the little being more valuable than seniors is one of the reason why the species moved away from a war footing and towards disco dancing. For the promise in the eyes of not only first born sons but of children everywhere. All of that depends on your economy making youth much more important, the power of money and the power of the system through which every child grows up to be useful and every adult grows old to be less so. It's what created the aging population that covets youth. The runt of the litter has more future and the senior less of one.
The truth is that we have to get the world moving rather than becoming her indoors forever deciding which child to eat next. An instinct from the caves protects the old at all costs because the oldest members were the providers and they could always have more kids. An adult had more potential in his final 5 years than a newborn. The tribe was better off with those 5 years than the potential yet highly unlikely 30 years of a newborn in the caves. But today it's different. That baby would more than likely survive yet that senior life-extension contains a heck of a lot less. Killing 1 baby doesn't save the other 4 like it did.
That's the point. All those industrious parents and empty ghost cities need to translate into something similar to what baby boomers were in the west. Challenging authority and feminising the society in the early days right through to the chip on your shoulder and the stagnating middle class of makework(something more like Brezhnez).
Learn to play the violin your parents are good for it. That's what young Chinese need to know is that life is something to be lived.
And western youth need the opposite. However much the violin is your true calling remember that you still need to eat. You'll be sent back to the land to de-salt the earth itself.
