I'm so happy you have a waterpik. I remember bragging to you about mine when I got it. I think you were a little hesitant back then. Glad you see how good they are. It surprising how much is missed after a good brush and floss.
No she doesn't have a medic alert button yet. She is checked on by friends and family constantly. The point of the blog was just a thank you to FB for such a quick response in finding her before breaking down a door. She has a cell in case she falls but nothing would have helped if it had been a massive heart attack.
I love and try hard to support the local businesses. Sad indeed. However I do go to Asian markets for things I can't find elsewhere or to get something much cheaper than the chains, like basil. A huge bunch of basil is cheaper and much larger than any other store.
Hi Red, I don't remember how many warnings but we were certainly a third strike and your out firm, so I'm guessing she got all the warnings needed. Here we are a right to work, need no reason to fire someone. I think that is sad actually.

I was lucky as a landlord, my tenants were stone masons and as long as I supplied the materials they built me a beautiful stone wall with a HUGE fireplace. Best investment ever all the way around.
When I moved back in after the tenants, well I blogged about having to run the AC just so I could use the fireplace. Of course during the winters we may get a few nights where it actually got cold enough for the fire. However building a fire didn't come easy to me.
I will be glad when your house sells. All this hard work is killing me, I want to hear FUN blogs.
You may be right Mic, one only knows we are fed tons of propaganda, however this one I do believe because I've seen the python competitions when they open season to python catching.
I'm sorry to hear this. I was so happy when you two were getting along but I've always been worried about that boyfriend of hers. I'm not sure why some strong women pick a man that tears them down but we've all done it.
My daughter and my relationship went through a horrible time long ago and she was meaner than a rattlesnake. I too took her off as a beneficiary and gave to the g.divas and my son. She came around a few years later and I revised the will. She came around once her kids were teenagers because she was holding a grudge on me from when she was a teenager. Complete turn around I tell you.
It can be heartbreaking when they don't realize how much effort we put into being a Mom but teenagers are an ungrateful lot. As parents of course we are going to do things wrong or unpleasant to them which does not give them the right to be so uncaring or mean.
I realized I wasn't going to be treated like that by anyone on the planet and actually disowned her for awhile. I think that was a rude awakening.
I hope she comes around quickly. Maybe if she became a Mom she would understand better then again with her BF maybe it is best if she doesn't.
I get calls asking for Warren when I said you have the wrong number they say, "Well maybe you can help me." I hang up. When I think of it I will say just a minute, holler "Warren" set the phone down and forget it. That has to annoy them.
