It is so easy to take something for granted. Every time I go to the bathroom I am thankful that I can pee. Once long long ago I tried to pee to no avail. 12 hours later in the emergency room I got relief. Never happened again but I swear I'm grateful several times a day. So easy to take anything for granted.
My boss requested in a staff meeting that her peeps always respond when a project is done if she asked for it. I always responded with, "I'm on it" or simply "done"
I love to laugh and find many things funny. I laugh at myself a lot because I do some really stupid things.
My favorite comedian is my son. That man has made me belly laugh over meals every since he was a wee lad. He still does and I still belly laugh at his antics. My daughter and her daughters come up with some great one liners that are hilarious.
Chat talk to your accountant about how long you can rent. I think you can avoid some capital gains tax if you don't rent over two years. (Last I heard on your personal home you have had to live in it two out of the last 5 years to avoid the cap gains tax) But for those two years you rent, everything is tax deductible.
I remember my first time putting a dog down at an emergency vet. I wanted her to get better and was willing to do anything, when she had a little heart attack on the table with blood coming out of her mouth. I grabbed her to hold and asked the vet should I put her down? He said it would be the kind thing to do. Without thinking any further I said "make it so". Then spent the following days feeling like a murderer. Once the grief stage passed I was happy I did the "kind" thing. I wish we could do it for humans, I know my Dad would have rather gone to sleep permanently than to live without a shred of dignity like he is now.
The dogs loved it. (I almost wish they didn't) I still say Kidney is not popular in America hence why it is so cheap. Of course there are some people that eat it after all America is a Heinz 57 for the world. Kidney is not popular enough here to be sold "commonly" in the stores and I've NEVER seen it on a restaurant menu and I've been to lots of restaurants on both sides of this country.
I know I can't give the pooches too much at one time but they have a variety of meats, organs and veggies. The little Chi loves fruits too but Lucy not so much. I think Lucy is enjoying being weaned off canned dog food for Fay's dog food. Lucky little dogs. I never dreamed I would cook special for the dogs.
Now liver I do like but again I have to cook my differently than the dogs because I love it smothered in onions and the dogs can't have onions.
I'm a bit surprised my dogs like quinoa though. I can't find rice in my house but I had 3 or 4 different kinds of Quinoa. YUMMM
