RE: Taken for granted

It is so easy to take something for granted. Every time I go to the bathroom I am thankful that I can pee. Once long long ago I tried to pee to no avail. 12 hours later in the emergency room I got relief. Never happened again but I swear I'm grateful several times a day. So easy to take anything for granted.

RE: Blog Prophecy

Also, in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter.

Such Truth....I'm glad you posted that blog and I didn't miss it

RE: Talking to ourselves

My boss requested in a staff meeting that her peeps always respond when a project is done if she asked for it. I always responded with, "I'm on it" or simply "done"

RE: My opinion on opinions

I share your opinion Red.

RE: Tupperware never dies...

I think I have a piece or two of tupperware somewhere in this house probably sealing something illegal. Rubbermaid pushed tupper out.

RE: My opinion on opinions

Another enjoyable blog brought to us by Harb, thanks

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

RE: Friday

The headache can be from a multitude of reasons, the big question is do you WANT to go or not?

RE: The most popular game in condo life...

Welcome to Adult living communities - same here

RE: What makes something funny?

I love to laugh and find many things funny. I laugh at myself a lot because I do some really stupid things.

My favorite comedian is my son. That man has made me belly laugh over meals every since he was a wee lad. He still does and I still belly laugh at his antics. My daughter and her daughters come up with some great one liners that are hilarious.

Take your time but hurry back.

RE: The fastest way to forget a guy

Start by spoiling yourself completely.

RE: One door closes...

I'm glad you all are becoming closer. I am very close with my siblings and I just love it.

RE: Termites...

The 2nd bath is a very good investment for resale.

RE: Termites...

Chat talk to your accountant about how long you can rent. I think you can avoid some capital gains tax if you don't rent over two years. (Last I heard on your personal home you have had to live in it two out of the last 5 years to avoid the cap gains tax) But for those two years you rent, everything is tax deductible.

RE: The Condo...

YAY that is good news Chat. So how long before you can retire now and enjoy?

RE: Reviews ... and why we read them ...

I read reviews, rarely write them though and when I do it is to say how great the product worked.

Many items out there I did not buy due to a bad review.

RE: Going straight

Welcome back.

Kidneys

I've got very lucky pets. I had an ex that used to always say when he came back he wanted to come back as one of my dogs. If he did he is a lucky SoB.

Human Nature

I had to go read what I originally wrote. I opened the blog, read the replies and forgot my question.

Thanks everyone.

RE: Which country has the most awesome military?

You appear to have learned what you think you know about America from Hollywood movies and the fake anti-American leftist press.

To be fair it's not just the fake anti-American leftist press, it's the PRESS period full of fake news.

RE: Im back

It makes for a wonderful life when you have a job you love.

RE: Rain, rain, go away....

We got the tail end of a rainy storm that was heading your way up north. It watered the garden really nice for me. Sorry your game got called off Jim.

RE: My point is.....

ditto everything biff said, great blog and writing.

RE: Termites...

Have you decided to put your house on the market or to rent it out. Either way those receipts can be tax deductible for the tent.

RE: Words I don't like

If I can think of a word I will come back and tell ya. I thought the whole time I read the blog with interest and yet I can't come up with one word.

RE: African Animals Getting Drunk From Ripe Marula Fruit

Oh man I can relate to those animals, been there, done that.

Great video

RE: old dog vestibular disease

Is your fur baby doing any better Biff?

RE: Reach out to me...

My daughter always ends her conversation (after saying I Love You) with "We'll stay in touch".

RE: old dog vestibular disease

I remember my first time putting a dog down at an emergency vet. I wanted her to get better and was willing to do anything, when she had a little heart attack on the table with blood coming out of her mouth. I grabbed her to hold and asked the vet should I put her down? He said it would be the kind thing to do. Without thinking any further I said "make it so". Then spent the following days feeling like a murderer. Once the grief stage passed I was happy I did the "kind" thing. I wish we could do it for humans, I know my Dad would have rather gone to sleep permanently than to live without a shred of dignity like he is now.

Kidneys

The dogs loved it. (I almost wish they didn't) I still say Kidney is not popular in America hence why it is so cheap. Of course there are some people that eat it after all America is a Heinz 57 for the world. Kidney is not popular enough here to be sold "commonly" in the stores and I've NEVER seen it on a restaurant menu and I've been to lots of restaurants on both sides of this country.

I know I can't give the pooches too much at one time but they have a variety of meats, organs and veggies. The little Chi loves fruits too but Lucy not so much. I think Lucy is enjoying being weaned off canned dog food for Fay's dog food. Lucky little dogs. I never dreamed I would cook special for the dogs.

Now liver I do like but again I have to cook my differently than the dogs because I love it smothered in onions and the dogs can't have onions.

I'm a bit surprised my dogs like quinoa though. I can't find rice in my house but I had 3 or 4 different kinds of Quinoa. YUMMM
