RE: "They say such nice things about people at funerals

My granddivas promised to throw a party for my wake asking everyone to do shots, then the youngest flashed me by lifting her blouse and said she would do that for the crowd saying everyone would know that was from me. What a memory I'm leaving the girls.

RE: NFL is back and I am watching

I think taking the knee is disrespectful but it is their right. I also think their pay should be severly cut and thumbs up to the brilliant marketing strategies taking place, hopefully the Vets really do get the benefit and honored.

I'm not a big sports fan but the rest of my family is. I love how my son has loved his Cowboys since he was a wee lad. He gets ribbed mercilessly from friends and family but he stays loyal to them and the Hawks. I'm surprised he isn't as loyal to the Bucs or Dolphins since that is the land we come from.

RE: Hurricane Gordon...Tropical Cyclone SEVEN...

I take it that it passed by my neck of the woods? Hoping for the best in La

RE: Unzipped

Crest - that was very shortwinded just to be mean!

RE: Unzipped

Now I have a crazy craving for beets.

RE: Skinning Cats...

Well that bottle flip was impressive but for the life of me I have NO clue as to why anyone learned that? Just to get on video?

If I had a dollar for every time someone told me "There's more than one way to skin a cat"

My brother said that just this morning on the way to breakfast.

RE: Unzipped

What's the matter Imp, can't you ride the bike, take pictures and post blogs at the same time? I know you multi-task cool

*taps foot

RE: Unzipped

Good for you Imp - quite the accomplishment. When do you get your iron levels checked again? Are you eating iron rich foods? I hope so.

You know you are killing me on FB with all those yummy recipes.

RE: Hurricane Gordon...Tropical Cyclone SEVEN...

LOL - Mimi

Thanks Chat - I haven't been paying attention and this is the first I'm hearing about the storm. Glad I logged in, guess I will start to pay attention now. Sigh - I need to buy a couple more flash lights and make sure my freezer isn't full of meat to lose if the power goes out.

RE: WOULD U MIND PLS

I'm enjoying this CS site too and find that most people are pleasant. Some blogs get a little to busy for me as in after I get through reading everyone's comments, I am too tired to write my own.

I don't find myself blogging as much as I used to, not quite sure why probably because so many nice blogs to read already.

RE: If... Raise your hand!

Well Chat you picked one of the things I couldn't raise my hand for, I never had a battery in my pocket.

RE: Ethical Shopping

OH man I learned so much from this blog. We don't have the scan as you go here but I simply love that idea, can't wait until we get smart enough to have that feature.

Merc said to take a pictue, What a brilliant idea, I will start saving the receipts and take a picture of the bad fruit so next time I'm at the store I get an exchange or refund.

Learning about the stem will stop me from buying bad stuff in the fututre.

BRILLIANT BLOG, Thanks.

RE: If... Raise your hand!

I could raise my hand for all but two, maybe just one actually and I already forgot which one.

RE: Infant School

When I was young the teacher could take us in the hall to paddle our behinds. I don't remember the crime but I do remember walking into the classroom rubbing my hiney and the class bust out laughing.

Well written and enjoyable blog Harbal.

RE: Sometimes a person, a name, personifies a whole time of your life

Very sorry to hear this sad news but enjoyed those memories and the way you wrote them.

RE: Escape Artists

Heck a loose sheep running around down here wouldn't last long around me. I would have to learn to cook lamb chops. Too hot here for sheep.

You certainly did do a good deed and is quite the "thank you" to the farmer for letting you bike his land.

As always my dear, very well written....

so have you made that soup yet or used your Instant Pot?

RE: Short and Sweet...

I tend to get wordy sometimes too. A.D.D. people, myself included, cannot do wordy blogs very well so they just tend to skim it.

MD Immigrants

Biff and Z, hope I can be as funny as you two!

RE: Soup's On!

I had a some Bloody Mary left over in my glass picture. The next day I was craving some tomato soup so I used the left over bloody mary and I must say vodka does a soup good.

MD Immigrants

I feel the same Bloodyawful - but it wasn't like that at MD. This site monitors it much better.

MD Immigrants

Thank you Korn, you are a breath of fresh air.

RE: Soup's On!

One of my favorite soups is Butternut Squash soup with a little bit of apple and bacon bits.

I'm dying to hear how your Cauliflower soup came out if you made it. That looked so good. I'm a soup lover but it is always so hot here it is hard to enjoy a bowl of hot soup as often as a nice cool crisp salad.

RE: Male Drama Makers

I hope she posts it too as I missed it.

RE: Giving up the ghost...

I certainly ran across several dates like that. I remember one guy had jet black hair on his profile and snow white hair when I met him. One was toothless. I could go on.

MD Immigrants

I must have had a drama queen moment. I wasn't recognizing her/him as much as the breath of fresh air without them.

RE: Male Drama Makers

If the admin staff is made up of volunteers, it will be challenging and you can count on drama because as we all know there is one in every crowd. Remember the big MD drama queen was a female, the mail was just a snit.

Even when the webmaster is paid, it is still not an easy job, there is always a glitch.

At least your photography is amazing. I saw you posted something about a canon digital - is that what you have? Do you have fellow photographers still using film?

RE: Photo Caption Contest - Bear Chalet

This is beary good.

MD Immigrants

Jim how do you know I haven't gotten my tatoo yet?

Korn - like I said a breath of fresh air. She had come hear but didn't take long for CS to figure out she was nutters.

RE: The saddest thing is..ending up without goodbyes

If it was all virtual or electronic - never meeting in person, then shame on the person who believed they knew who was on the other end.

Nothing is real until the real life experience.

MD Immigrants

Ha ha, thank you Wenever
