RE: Maybe you have a wait problem...

I can relate to wanting faster on one hand yet on the other I like multi-tasking while I wait.

We are a spoiled species.

RE: Men and women.....family strife....and unwillingness to get competent family counseling...

Maybe if family values were taught more in school we wouldn't need as much counsenling. I don't know how much the education system teaches what it is like in the real world any more besides "Get a job" and figure the rest out as you go?

RE: And on the seventh day... he blogged.

@Molly

"A fool and his money"

That sounds like my kind of date!

RE: Confucius didn't say this... or did he?

Full wallet keeps old woman happy too

One Sick Puppy

Oh Ish, by the way, Dogs don't talk back. Kids yeah.

One Sick Puppy

Thank you Ish, Crazy, Bear and TG for well wishes. She is a real sweet little Chi that never barks or bites. Of course she is a rescue dog and I've never ever heard a story about a bad rescue animal, never.

RE: All our advisers are busy, please hold

So true about it being an awful job. My son handled one at a bank for 15 years. He has one of the best pleasant personalities on the planet yet I watched him grow road rage during his time on that job. I asked where his rage was coming from when he drove and he said it is the only way he gets release from the job. He has to take all the guff from callers. They can say things like "I wish your Momma drops dead" and he cannot retort. Finally he started disconnecting the calls, got warned then got fired. Best thing ever was him getting fired.

Within a month or two he had another job that paid $18,000 more a year, still some stress but not as much. First day on the job he was given (lent) an I-phone and an I-pad. He has a long drive to the job but he can also work from home some.

Best thing that ever happened was him getting fired, because he like so many others might hate their job, but having a bad job is better than looking for a new one. I don't get that mentality but witness it all around me.

RE: And on the seventh day... he blogged.

Yay, welcome, glad you got the text. I look forward to your humor.

RE: Who is Here From Matchdoctor?

@Bluewind

YAY, I for one am glad to see you also migrated to CS, you are a welcome site. I feel this CS site has more culture than MD, hope you enjoy it.

There will always be malcontents on any site though.

RE: CS is great, there's nothing like it

Thank you for the welcome committee I am starting to enjoy this site with some old friends from MD and the new ones I'm making here.

SSDD

RE: Who is Here From Matchdoctor?

Welcome Shawthor, glad you said who you were, Now if I can only remember that.

RE: what do all the long distance msgs mean?

The long distance thing doesn't do much for me either. Can't stop the spammers it seems.

RE: Imagination running riot?

You should take pictures of each guest (that look like a painting) and then sell it back to them as they leave, like the attraction parks do! A little cheese & crackers extra money.

Don't give a second thought to disgruntled folks, you are worthy of being on top!

RE: Parasailing

I saw your pictures on FB too and was impressed. So happy to hear every thing was good for this event and it was financially successful. The pictures are beautiful Imp. I love parasailing. I'm not too afraid of the heights but I watch the water always praying I don't see sharks, they scare the bejezuz out of me.

Community Garden

I was really impressed with what I saw and how it all works, I'm joining. It's all orgainic too and not far at all. Thanks to the MD friend that referred that to me. The dirt was so rich and earthy smelling, nothing like the native soil which is nothing more than Beach sand.

And Molly I agree a packet of seeds is so much better than pills.

RE: Unpealling

Yep again I agree with Molly, while I was thinking of how to word what she said - I went to post it but she said it perfectly.

RE: Unpealling

I agree with Molly.

RE: jarred1, unfortunately

Wow I wish I knew how to get "In response thing to work"

Kudos to Biff for what said and how she said it, I'm totally on that same page

and agree with equseme too, funny and well written.

Things that make you smile

Thank you Molly for the video. I saw one of my family that happened like that as well. As my nephew was talking his daughter dropped the ice bucket on him. I saw my son stand in his bath tub to do his challenge. The look on their faces just cracks me up.

RE: Who is Here From Matchdoctor?

Most of us refugees were decent bloggers on MD that had to put up with the few indecent malcontents but like they say one bad apple can spoil a barrel.

Hopefully the mean ones won't know to come here.

RE: Who is Here From Matchdoctor?

Kornbluth I will text Chat and tell ttom when he calls.

RE: Imagination running riot?

First off I want to say I like reading your blogs and the way you write. I can feel the shoes you are wearing, so to speak.

On the bright side you only have ten days can you imagine what it would be like if it were a year's lease? On the bad side you still have ten days.

On the age difference, so what who cares? If it were me and I were to have the need or desires, then I would have a couple of drinks while he chats and see where it goes, after all there is a benefit to having only ten days.

Things that make you smile

Not all police are like that Jim - mostly we only hear about the bad ones so it is nice to hear something good once in awhile.

The ice bucket challenge was fun and for a worthy cause.

I love mornings

RE: Yeah baby, im so trendy

Very Clever!

RE: Who is Here From Matchdoctor?

Hi Texasgirl, I'm here now too. I think this site is monitored a little better so we won't have to put up with the bitter.

It was sneaky of them not to give a heads up but that is the way it goes.

RE: Dear : Self Esteem..

He wants to be evenly yoked so that together you are lightened each others' load.

Oh Ash I love that saying.

RE: Dear : Self Esteem..

It sounds like co-dependence to me and I related to it once upon a time.

Also it made me think of the Loneliest I ever was in my entire life was in my last marriage. He was a good man just not a good husband.

RE: Photo Caption Contest - Surprise kick

No I don't want a sister!

RE: If this is you, it's time to have a rethink.

Fooling themselves I would think is the same as denial and which is what so many do. I agree with Imp on the self-awareness, which I assume not a whole lot of people practice.
