I suppose you have your bags packed and plane ticket ready to go over there and do the solution that you have just posted. We will watch as you go in and take away the guns and modern weaponry and throw the swords out.

It's easy to throw out such a statement of what someone else should do in a very tough situation at hand but will you personally do what you are saying? Hope you were making the statement in jest only.
I as well as many may not agree with Nora but nor do I want to see lives on either side destroyed. Aside from religion or ethnic heritage, one will never know whether someone killed or a descendant from one of those people that died would have made the difference for peace in that end of the world. That peace would have an impact on all the world. It has always been a thought of mine from the millions from WW2 to wars and deaths all around the world. Peace and sooner breakthroughs in medicine could have been acheived through lives saved.JMO.I may be off track a bit here. Sorry.

It said that the Palestinian guards on the other side of the gate who are responsible for the opening of the gates have abandoned their posts. What are the Palestinians doing to get the supplies in if they are not there to open the gates? The Israelis have allowed the humanitarian supplies to go in but there is no one to allow them in. I'm a bit confused on this one here. Perhaps Hamas leaders have some type of idea in mind for which of his soldiers or which one of them should be going to the gate to let the supplies in?

Your comments are appreciated though and I will give them some thought. But I do think it is better to deal with the officials running around today that are going over to the Middleast, Condaliza and also the Arab and other foreign leaders, most of whom aren't Jewish anyway. Can they all do any better than Kissinger or Albright to acheive a positive outcome. If you feel that it was a religion issue, then these 2 Jews would have wanted peace to happen so not one more Jewish life would be lost in Israel or anywhere in the world for that matter, especially considering the wholesale free slaughter of the Jews of WW2. I didn't want to bring up WW2 but only would do so as a reason why these leaders would want to have a peace. So I don't buy into the religion issue with Kissinger and Albright as a reason that the peace couldn't happen. One can always use the religion or a race card when something doesn't work out they way they want it. It really shouldn't matter one bit what the religion or the skin color of various ethnic negotiators are and I doubt it really mattered then(except to the arabs)....just whether today they can do a better job of working with the leaders of Hamas and Israel that are in power now. Would anyone else have made a difference back then to bring peace beside the efforts of Kissinger or Albright if they weren't Jewish? I really doubt it! That is truly why I'm not giving alot of thought to the old commentaries and wish to stick with what is going on today. As you know, many of the Israelis are also black Jews of Ethiopian decent by birth as a direct descendant of Solomon and Bathsheba. Another generation of lives has passed and passed away already on both sides. No telling if someone of those that died would have been the person or persons or their offspring in a future generation that would have figured out how to bring peace to the region. It is such a tragic loss of life for all!! Just my peaceful opinion to your comment Robbie. Again, thank you for your reply.

Your posting of articles are truly out of sync. October 18, 2000......Come on, I'm at least posting something out of the news today. Is this the best you can do? Please come back to late 2008 or 2009 at least to make a point with something very recent. One can go back 8 to 1000s of years and try to make a point I guess but the reality is what is happening today that has bearing on the world. Not opinions of 8 yrs ago.
I am pointing this out in a peaceful way I hope.

In regards to the posting that you made that spoke of the stone throwing incident, Just a comment below for something for you to pause and give some thought to. There are 2 sides to every situation and both must be heard equally.

If someone threw rocks and stones at you with the hope to maim or kill you and you had a stronger weapon in your hands to put a stop to it, I sure hope you would not just stand there and let yourself get stoned to death while they are protesting in the name of democracy and self determination.
And if you didn't have a stronger weapon but only had stones and rocks to throw back, would you just stand there, run, or throw them back to try to get them to stop?

As Tzipi Livni stated today on CNN:
Before the military operation, Hamas targets Israelis whenever it likes and Israel shows restraint. This is no longer going to be the equation. When Israel is targeted, Israel is going to retaliate.
Mahmoud al-Zahir states the the Quassam rockets are not the problem but the military seige by the Israelis. He also goes on to say that the Israelis have bombed mosques, schools, hospitals, children and their homes. (Of course he does not mention that the Hamas fighters are hiding and shooting at the Israelis from those sites nor does he even mention that caches of weapons or bomb making factories that are hidden in these places) And he also says that he will not stop the rocket firing in spite of at least 500 of his people dying and more dying everyday. Now that is really quite some leader who wants to get his people a homeland to live in peace.
Perhaps CNN should do a historical pictorial review for comparison of the Israeli devastation and loss of lives from the rockets and suicide bombers that have taken so many Israeli lives over time. And you wonder why the Israeli people are so hardened and yet are suppossed to show restraint?
Israel pulled out of Gaza 2 yrs ago to give the people a chance to form their own govt and set up a peaceful state for themselves and they wound up killing each other and leaving Israel alone for awhile. They have not proven to themselves or the world that they are ready for an independent state that can live side by side in peace with all their neighbors. When they are truly committed to a permanent lasting peace, then and only then will they have a state.

I do not know who you are other than your CS name as I do not have European TV over here. You say that it is no secret that you have been in the media, on TV shows and have even been assessed by inteligence agencies for your radical views and support of misnamed terrorist groups so you are obviously popular in the public eye. Perhaps you would consider telling what name you go by on the television interviews? Maybe there is a video of you available on the internet somewhere. But if it is in German, well then won't know what it says anyway.

It is true, there does not seem to be a major international protest for all the times that Hamas has been lobbing rockets into Israel directly into the centers of Jewish civilian cities or settlements that are within Israeli borders. I saw no countries racing to put a stop to this. Nothing seems to be protested around the world until Israel finally says, "enough is enough" and sends in the military to put a stop to the rocket firings. Now everyday there seems to be less and less rockets being fired from Gaza. It will finally stop but what a price to pay for launching rockets over the border. Needless suffering for one's own people and pain to those living on both sides.

Gozo, of course they shoot to hopefully inflict damage! The international TV reporters are not at a particular site to film it so the world cannot see what is occuring in Israel. However, the are usually there when a suicide bomber blows up in a Jewish enclave.There's lots of celebration and jumping for joy if they luckily get to blow apart a Jewish child, mother, elderly person with their inaccurate rockets especially if it is shown on TV. This is sad but it is true.CNN does make it into some of the hot spots.

I agree Gozoman! This is the most sensible thing I have read here!! I would like to see a Palestinian homeland too but not at the cost of ethnic cleansing of every Jew in the area permanently. It seems to be the main agenda of the Palestinians and other factions over in the Mideast though. Yes, negotiations are in line but will probably occur when Hamas is just about defeated and out of weaponry.And then we will see who breaks the peace treaty again!!

Anwar Sadat and Menahem Begin!! These leaders came together and signed the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel which still stands today. Israel gave the Sinai back to Egypt in exchange for peace!! They both have my respect!!

If they would stop lobbing the rockets at Israel, then perhaps they would have some time and turn their talent toward oil exploration and better their people's welfare. I believe that oil for an exchange of peace would be an interesting thought to pursue.... Palestinians stop firing rockets into Israel in exchange for the Israelis leaving the Palestinians alone to do their oil exploration.

Truthfully, I would like to see an honored truce amongst both sides. But as many truces have been signed one has to look back and see just who started lobbing rockets first at the other side to break the truce. How long can a country restrain itself when it gets about 70 rockets a day lobbed at it's people. The world stands by and doesn't put a stop to it. It is sad that an entire people have to suffer as a direct result from those amongst them that break the truce. The US moved fast after Pearl Harbor and 911. There was no restraint there with an attitude of "Let's wait and see what else they do!" before we take any action.
Yes, I do feel sorry for the Palestinians but I also feel sorry for the Israelis as they too have a right not to get their people blown up too!!
It would be very nice to be able to raise their children and watch them grow up in a land of peace. And not to worry that some stranger will be lobbing Kassem rockets at their homes indescriminately or that the other guy's home, life and family will be blown apart because someone is firing at them in seeking out someone shooting those rockets from their building. Military capability cannot see through a building to know who is in there, only can tell where weapons are being fired from. Cowards they are to fire from a building where they know innocent civilians are. There doesn't seem to be any protests regarding this type of behavior but the deaths that occur from this behavior are protested.
In an idyllic world or future date, perhaps this will no longer occur and parents can see their children grow up. Their leaders must seriously want peace and be able to reign in their own citizens that break the peace if a peace accord is signed. JMO as usual!!

I find it rather interesting that someone would try to explain the Jews as a people rather than a nation. The U.S. is a nation made up of many different people of all nationalities, religions, ethnic backgrounds and races. Perhaps the man was trying to say that the State(or country as some people might call it) of Israel is made up of many Jews, many of which are from different ethnic backgrounds. The Jews are not a race of people but a melting pot of many different individual cultures and skin color differences. Their commonality is their Torah and the monotheistic belief in God and that is what unites.
There is also the term "Diaspora." The dispersion of the Jews in many parts of the world over the centuries due to forced expulsion. Perhaps this man may have also included the "diaspora" to also be included as an explanation of part of the people of Israel. And not necessarily having to live in the State of Israel.
The State of Israel is made up of many different religions, skin colors, ethnic and cultural backgrounds and that would be a logical explanation for a description of a nation perhaps.


Not hearing this man speak, perhaps this is what he was trying to say. Again, JMO!!

I agree, it is Hamas's choice to fire rockets from the civilian neighborhoods. Go to the front line. The Israelis don't use their people as a shield or cannon fodder for that matter. Of course the Israelis target directly where the rockets are coming from. Hamas does not seem to want to evacuate their civilians to a safer distance away when firing. Thus they ensure civilian casualties at a very high rate. And then plea how unfair it is that so many of their people die!! Cowards is right!!

I find it rather interesting that you just happened to be in Israel studying tech courses considering you appear to be vehemently anti Jewish if I may say. Israel must have given you a very good sense of security to move about and study in relative peace. Their education must be very superior or else you would have gone elsewhere. However this is not the main reason I am writing here.

Here is a scenario that I hope would never happen to you in life if you go to Israel again.
If you go there to study or live there and you are abducted within Israel's border and brought over to one of Israel's bordering neighbors and tortured, no doubt you would want the Jews to go over and rescue you, no matter what the cost. Ask yourself, would your native south american country send over a troop surge to challenge the terrorists and rescue you? Or would the Jew or Zionist would be your best friend for life if they rescued you? So if Israel did not defend it's borders from the terrorist factions that continue to attack it and occassionally slip through, I doubt that you would have felt comfortable enough to go over and study. Imagine a country that can't defend it's borders. The terrorists enjoy decapitating their captives and you would wonder just when you would die. I doubt their prisons are loaded with many foreign prisoners but yet Israel is loaded with them. After your rescue, would you still think so highly of the poor palestinians plight in the trenches or would you now be thanking the Zionist Israelis for their valiant rescue and putting their lives on the line to protect your life and it's Israeli citizens, many of whom are different nationalities and religions and are not even Jews. I believe you would be feeling sorry for the poor Israelis in the trenches at this point.
As you know, it is not uncommon for foreigners to be abducted in some of the Arabic countries and be murdered and decapitated right on TV for all to see. Sad if you happened to be one of them decapitated.
I would hope that you will never ever be abducted anywhere in the world where you would have gone peacefully to pursue an education or a vaccation. But this is a reality and my posting is meant to be a reality check. No disrespect to you in spite of your vehement anti Jewish ravings. You are entitled to your views. Many of the postings are anti Jewish in general

Here is an answer to your question:

Did you forget that they just got the West Bank Territory back in the last few years? They were given it back by Jews or Zionists for the promise of peace. A great trust and respect was given to their leader. And yet, many(not all though) of those Palestinians in that section are still not satisfied. Their own leader cannot reign in their terrorist factions.
When they all lived together in Gaza, they were killing one another just for belonging to different political factions. When they were killing each other, they weren't bothering Israel but seemed hellbent on obliterating each other. Israel took pity and gave the West Bank to one of the political factions in exchange for peace with them, to have those people live in peace in their own land and also so those Palestinian people would not be anihilated by the other Palestinian faction. How soon those people in the West Bank now forget that their lives were spared by a kind act from those "Zionists." Those Palestinians were being murdered by their own people in Gaza!!!! Did the World forget that their lives were spared from the hands of their own people by the Jews? And Israel is the villain? Where was the outcry from the world against Hamas for obliterating their own Palestinian people? Why was the world so silent with no protests then? If they can't be respectful to each other, there's no way a piece of land is going to retain dignity in a people that isn't there to begin with. They can't live peacefully amongst each other even!
Remove Hamas and the people will have a better chance at living in peace and having their own land and living in peace. But any people that tries to destroy the Jews will bring about their own destruction.
In democracies, one doesn't often see many people getting murdered or executed just for belonging to a different political faction. It would be rather unusual in the U.S. if the republicans, democrats and other political groups went around and killed it's citizens who weren't in their political arena? Republicans shooting and killing democrats to win the vote. Anihilate your competition and their supporters. Political homicide or political holocaust for your opponent. DIGNITY?
